We dinned here for our anniversary, and though we didn’t tell anyone, they treated us as if they knew! We were seated in a beautifully secluded romantic spot on the upper level overlooking the dinning room and the staff served us very well! The food was also amazing! Exactly what we were looking for, to treat ourselves to a nice meal to celebrate 20 years of marriage. This was a wonderful evening!!
Just lovely. The food was delicious, the pace was perfect and the service excellent !
The food was tasty and more expensive than necessary. Service was a little overbearing in terms of "telling us what we wanted". 2 of the 4 entrees were not prepared correctly on the first try.
Beef was great, carrot cake was huge and amazing, but the tuna was bad, hardly edible. Service was just ok.
Very nice atmosphere, excellent food and service! Will definitely return!
We live out of town, but every time we make a trip to Estes Park, twin owls steakhouse is always a must!!
Food was just okay. Don't get the pasta. For the price, I would have expected better than packaged pasta and sauce.
We are from out of state and ate at Twin Owls for our anniversary. We were extremely impressed! The service was outstanding and the food, super delicious! The ambiance was romantic and the perfect setting for our anniversary dinner! We’ve already given high praises to this restaurant to many people we know. We will definitely be returning!
The main dishes was ok at best. The trout was in no way worth the money and the ribeye was close. The trout fishing was very bland and boring. The ribeye dish was a bit better but still lacked flavor. I also asked to nix the vegetables and they told me no, but I would have gladly paid more to substitute it for a salad. I was given a lame excuse "the chef doesn't do that." Well not impressed. If the "chef" is so determined to be so sure of himself then I expect way better quality of food. We did enjoy the cheese platter and bread though. So if you want to sit down around a cheese platter and bread then this is the place. Otherwise save your money.
We had a very peaceful delicious dinner. Great bar selection (actually has Breckenridge bitters) and a nice wine list. Portions were nice size, presentation and taste was excellent.
Only one thing that was wrong was it was cold, would have asked to set in front of the fire if we would have known. Other than that everything was wonderful
It was okay. Service not very good and food was just okay. The building was nice and the musician playing was very good. Price for the quality of the food was not good.
We spent the evening at Twin Owls Steakhouse with a party of 11 after a small wedding ceremony in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was the perfect evening, and we could not have asked for better service by the staff at Twin Owls. Our server catered to every need, brought out complimentary champagne to the bride and groom, explained every special on the menu and gave recommendations. There was a guitarist who played instrumental love songs throughout the night and set the tone. I can not say enough good things about the restaurant, and highly recommend to anyone visiting Estes Park. Thank you, Twin Owls!
My husband and I had an amazing meal here. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and it was everything we were wanting and more. Very romantic, beautiful location with a gorgeous view. I had requested to sit by the fireplace which was so nice and made the experience that much better. Probably the most expensive meal I've paid for but it was absolutely worth every penny. Those chefs know what they are doing!!!!
My husband and I are on our honeymoon and before departing for Denver we wanted to enjoy a nice, intimate dinner, Twin Owls knocked it out of the park! The food was amazing, and our server Natasha was very attentive and always had a smile on her face! When we vacation in Estes Park again we will definitely return to the Two Owls!!!
This is probably my 10th visit to Twin Owls and I come here about every other time I come to Estes. Service is always great but the food can be spotty from year to year. I generally go with the elk medallions because it is their signature dish and it is always very good - order on the rare side of medium rare for the best flavor - really delicious. My wife had the short ribs which were surprisingly dry; kind of a hard dish to dry out. We had a little on with us this time and she was well cared for. One of the best atmospheres for dining in Estes - beautiful open dining room with lodge pole frame and a nice fireplace and great windows - it seems it is always snowing when we eat here and it is truly beautiful during your meal!
Place was great! A little pricey but the food was great so it wasn’t a huge deal. If you’ve never been, it’s definitely worth the trip.
Great date night. Waiting bar is cozy, but has a great bartender. Bacon wrapped scallops and onion soup were equally excellent. Ribeye was perfectly prepared and served. Atmosphere was very quiet with a quiet guitarist. Overall, a fabulous evening.
We enjoyed our dinner at Twin Owls Steakhouse immensely. The ambiance was quiet and romantic. The restaurant looks like a log cabin with a big fireplace in the center of the dining room. There was a musician playing guitar quietly through dinner which was lovely. We arrive early to have a drink at the bar and the bar setup is really my only complaint. The bar is tiny and there aren't really any stools so we had to stand and there wasn't much room. Other than that, everything was great. The wine selection and menu were wonderful. I had the ravioli and tortellini and my husband had a steak. We ordered the dessert trio which was also delicious. The service was excellent and our server(whose name I can't remember) was professional. We will definitely go back next time we're in Estes Park!
The parking is absolutely ridiculous!! Or fin stupid for a nice restaurant like this.
Figure it out folks.
WOW! My husband and I had a wonderful time at Twin Owls Steakhouse. From the moment we walked in, till the time we left it was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, and our server recommended great appetizers and dinner. Will be returning on our next visit to Estes Park.
We always enjoy Twin Owls when in Estes Park. The food is terrific and the atmosphere matches.
I was really disappointed in the service, and food. I heard raging reviews about this steakhouse, and how the service and food are excellent. However, both steaks that were ordered were SEVERLY undercooked. The plates were messy, and I had to ask the waitress twice before she brought me a refill on my drink. The only good thing about the experience was the bread.
Elk medallions were excellent and service very prompt & welcoming.
This has become our favorite place to eat dinner for our anniversary every year!!
Overall food quality was okay but one of the cuts of prime rib and ribeye were poor considering the cost.
Food and service was very good. But after considerable research to find special valentine dining experience during a special trip to Colorado we got stuck in an overflow dining room. This room lacked any ambience. While the main dining that was exclusively featured on their website that had live guitarist and spectacular views we had staticky bar music and car headlights in our eyes. There were no flowers no special valentines decorations, simply seemed they opened area to accommodate extra guests. In hind sight seems hostesses hand picked who got seated in main dining room and who got relegated to the back room. Given we spent $200 for a couple and that we made this reservation weeks in advance we are sorely disappointed in the experience especially since we planned in advance. Shame on Twin Owls for treating us this way. They simply misrepresented their establishment and Valentines Day experience.
Our food was perfectly prepared and we had a lovely evening. Everyone is very friendly.
Very disappointed with the food on a special night (Feb 14).
Appetizer (Baked Brie) was aweful, tasteless and undercooked. The Rib Eye steak was thin and over cooked, the potatoes were dried and other veggies were just ok. This is NOT a high-end cuisine restaurant or a steakhouse as they advertise it.
The wine list was pretty decent, I selected a bottle of Bordeaux 2010.
I would never go back to this restaurant.
Our waiter, Val, was exceptional.
Me and my girlfriend had a great romantic dinner. The food was absolutely fantastic, definitely worth the price!
One of the very best meals we have ever had. Oki was so lovely and the service she provided was perfection. Every recommendation she gave was thorough and exactly the way she described it. We will be back!
Food and service was amazing! Well worth the money.
I had ribeye steak. It was a thin cut and was over cooked. My wife had a filet and it was thicker and cooked correctly.
This was our first trip to Twin Owls and we will be back! We were celebrating my husbands birthday and the service was wonderful - was wished Happy Birthday by all. They gave us a table overlooking the dining room which was beautiful. The food was fantastic - from the bread and olive oil mix to the bacon wrapped scallops and finally the bison steak my husband had to the elk medallions that I enjoyed. And there was live guitar music playing the whole time!! It was a great evening and again we will be back!
We had a lovely evening with good service and great food in a very nice setting
We always have a wonderful meal and a lovely time at Twin Owls. We've been going for years and have never been disappointed. We save it for special times. James Davis is truly lovely.
It was a very nice night including a guitar player who was very good at setting the mood
This restaurant has a great atmosphere and architecture. If you want an average piece of meat with simple steamed vegetables and a potato for $40+, this is your restaurant.
