Tutto Il Giorno - Sag Harbor
Over priced and mediocre food. Uninterested waiter. Hamptons hype
We had to wait over an hour for our table that I booked 3 weeks ago. The noise level was soooooo loud. Our waitress was lovely and was working really hard. Would not go back again on a Saturday again.
Sunday in April without the summer crowd. Perfect. Service is excellent with no pretension. Candles are lit throughout the restaurant, which also serves as a shop. Excellent bread and drinks start the meal. The octopus, tuna and eggplant appetizers are excellent. Have enjoyed the rigatoni, seafood stew and chicken. Portions are large and small eaters would do well with two appetizers. This is a favorite Sag Harbor restaurant. Hopefully, we can snag reservations in the summer!
We had a late dinner seating at 9:00pm but were not served until 9:30pm. I was expecting a nice ambiance over dinner but apparently it was party time by 10pm so it was not conducive to any dinner conversation because of the extremely loud music being played while people were still eating which spoiled my appetite and could not eat my $40 steak dinner. the appetizers were not as great as I had hoped - so much so, that they were removed from bill as a courtesy of the management (risotto way under cooked and flavorless). the service and care of their patrons however was very good and for that reason, I would go back again but make sure to not get a reservation past 7pm.
Place is in the wonderful village of Sag Harbor. Hostess was wonderful, bartender too, waiter was friendly but distracted and not providing the expected level of service, rest of staff was fine, food was great except for the calamari which was very tough and chewy, but waiter replaced it with octopus which was good. Will certainly come back again.
Expensive & delightful - good food, great service, friendly welcome, Loved the fish of the day cooked in paper - subtle and excellent with green beans, and the white bean soup & chardonnay. Want to try a few more times before I give it top top ratings.
Fabulous ambiance and great food to match. So cozy and perfect for any occasion!
My favorite restaurant!
Great food and wonderful atmosphere
Tutto is Fantastico! The food is as delicious as any I have had in Italy - excellent, fresh ingredients, simply and perfectly prepared. The ambience is welcoming, warm, relaxed and festive all at the same time. The service is attentive, but never intrusive.
Special kudos to Alberto & Kim for their kind attention and thoughtfulness throughout the evening.
Great meal, great service, great ambience all in all… A great night out!
The restaurant needs an outer door. The cold air coming in every time the door opens is disturbing and uncomfortable. There were only 2 wait staff on duty. The noise level is high. Having people waiting for tables in the lounge area in the center of the dining area is annoying. Lounge area should be in the bar next to the fireplace.
The food is delish. But entrees are overpriced. The service was almost good given the short handedness. Overall the restaurant is beautiful.
When we first got there is was super busy but in a good way. We got a drink at the bar and hung out in the little shop and waited for our table. Once we sat down everything was super easy. Our server was very accommodating & the manager also stopped by and checked on us a couple times. We felt very well taken care of.
Best experience ever
Authentic Italian food, great ambiance super cozy
Service was very attentive and great bar crowd.
Its a perfect place for special occasions from date night to celebrating birthdays.
Our new favorite place in town.
What an amazing experience! The food was absolutely outstanding! We split the burrata, prime steak and affogata for dessert. We had a bottle of wine also, which was fantastic! Overall, everything was so great and of course the service was top notch. We celebrated our 4 year anniversary here in January. Definitely recommend!
Would not recommend this pace to my worst enemy.
Get your food game together. It tastes like chef boyardee. Get a real chef and quality food. Lobster and steak tasted frozen. Not impressive at all! Service was a disaster
The waitress did not even know the menu.
I can’t believe people eat here!
Sunday night dinner. Nice ambiance. Food was good. Service great.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Tutto Il Giorno! The wait staff was attentive and the room was beautifully candle-lit with great soft music playing. While the menu had several options we liked, we decided to go with the catch of the day baked in parchment along with vegetables. It was amazing in both taste and presentation. I also recommend the homemade cookie assortment for desert. Those were served with mixed berries on a board and delicious!
Loved it. Good vibe
Great wine and food.
Ambience great too!
The waiter could barely describe the dishes or make any suggestions
Very good food in a warm comfortable space. Being greeted by Donna Karan a perk. Only issue is there is too much sauce on the pasta dishes. But overall it feels like dining in a friends home
The restaurant either ignored or forgot that it was a special occasion.
Oh well. (Not the sign of a real good restaurant, which I believe, it hopes to be?)
My wife and I had Sunday brunch there. The food and ambiance were very good. Service was disappointing, more so because Tutto il Giorno is expensive. Our waiter was disengaged; we had to ask for bread twice, finally getting some from the hostess. Then we had to ask for olive oil.
At the price of the menu, the service was way underperforming.
Very nice ambience l. Only had appetizer and primo platti which was more than enough. Tuna tartare and buffalo mozzarella and a pasta was filling. Lava cake for dessert and a good bottle of wine made a fine meal.
Absolutely wonderful restaurant! The food was fabulous, the decor is gorgeous, and the ambience is just lovely.. can’t wait to go back!
They do NOT accept Open Table reservations.
Average food, incredibly overpriced, but in a beautiful setting. The $26 pasta dishes were totally average tasting as was the $17 Tiramisu. I guess you pay for the atmosphere.....
If you know the history of Tutto versus Dopo la Spiaggia, it would explain their menus having many similarities. I found it confusing that Tutto has not been in Sag for the last 3-4 years and now that they are back, they kept some of the same menu items as Dopo. They couldn't be more creative in their time away? Also, while they don't disclose the prices of their dishes on their website, when we sat down, we realized that they seem to be charging more than Dopo for similar/same dishes. C'mon, forge your own path, be creative, you don't need to copy despite the ill-will between the two places.
We had a very nice meal though and the place certainly continues to have a decent vibe, but I was disappointed in the lack of creativity, lack of interesting drink menu and the limited menu. We often eat at Dopo and will continue to do so, especially since they are established, they are always welcoming and they have better value for your money.
