Tutta Pesca was inspired by a longtime friendship with a gentleman, Fortunado. He was the owner of the former restaurant here in Hoboken, Tutta Pasta. Having started a construction company in 2008,Tutta Pesca was built by Cara hands and finally came to life in 2015. Our decor is inspired by boutique seafood shops on the lower east side from the 1950s-1970s with a personal touch from our family.
Our Italian- American seafood restaurant strives to provide quality food in a relaxing, family oriented atmosphere. Please take a moment to fill out our comment cards and let us know how we're doing. We value your thoughts and suggestions to help us provide

The food was excellent, the restaurant has a great ambience and it’s rated as one of the top 100 or 150 in the country but...
- They got our main course order wrong (small inconvenience as there were two halibut in the menu but they didn’t check)
- We were under so much pressure to be moved out. I know there’s a 90 min time limit which is specified up front but out server reminded us at 30 mins to go, 20 mins to go, 15 mins etc even after they had messed up our main order. I just don’t think that is very inviting or professional
But again, the food was excellent, it’s ok price wise and the ambience is nice
What a wonderful dining experience! We agree that this is one of the nation's top 100 restaurants. Food is exquisite! Perfectly attentive personal service!
The food is amazing!!! Finally something different (also delicious) in Hoboken! Cozy, little spot. BYOB. Be mindful that they have a time limit as the place is small. Looking forward to going back to try out the lunch menu. GO!
Our third visit. All you need to know is that we live 65 miles away. We wouldn't do that for the ordinary. In my opinion the signature dish is the grilled octopus appetizer. I make sure to order every time. If you love seafood you do not want to miss this neighborhood gem. Pricey, but worth it!
Andrew was our server and he was fantastic.
The place is amazing. Food, service, decor all perfect. I now live out of state but if I lived locally it would be my favorite go to restaurant.
This place nailed it again . Each time we go back we find something new and special. The panko crusted halibut was phenomenal. The Mediterranean shrimp appetizer was fantastic. One of these times I will have dessert! Don't forget BYOB makes the somewhat pricey menu all worth it.
My Husband took me to Tutta Pesca for the first time to celebrate my Birthday, it was by far one of the best meals I have ever had, and definitely the best restaurant in Hoboken! I can't wait to have a special occasion to go back for, we wanted to try every dish that came out of the kitchen! Great spot for special occasions.
One of the best meals I’ve had. Third time there and every time gets better.
About and hour and a half on our dinner, they told us that they will need the table for the next reservation ... they should have told us since the beginning that the place has a time limit
I felt it rude
Great food and ambiance combined with perfect service.
Fantastic meal once again. The best seafood restaurant I have been to in a long time
Exceptional fish restaurant! I can't recommend it highly enough. Best swordfish I've ever had, and the special scallop app was a knockout. BYOB, so don't forget wine.
I had a reservation for 9pm- we arrived at 8:40pm and were told the table would be ready at 9. There was no place to stay, since the restaurant does not have bar area. When we came back at 9pm, we were seated only at 9:30pm.
We placed our food order right away, including appetizers and entrees. For some reason, the staff thought it would be good idea to get both the appetizers and main course at the same time and it didn't arrive till 9:55pm.
The entree that arrived was not what we ordered but at this point, we saw no reason to ask them to change it- lest they take another 30 min for that!
To finish off, while clearing the table, the server dropped a plate on one of us and there were broken pieces of cutlery that we had to dodge while getting out from our table.
Really bad experience and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone else.
Great meal overall- good oysters even though some were a bit mealy. Good appetizer, it is a bit odd that no wine, but they do have a delivery service.
Great Staff, terrific food. DO TAKE YOUR OWN WINE/DRINKS. Was not aware of this. They were nice to get a wine delivery from a local merchant. Will definitely go many times in the future!
WARNING-you only have 90 minutes or less to eat very average food (grilled octopus was very tough and the Chilean sea bass was a flat piece of fish (probably cod) cooked with no flavor for $48)! We arrived at 8:10pm to celebrate a major event and at 9:20 pm the waiter said “ would you like your dessert to go, we need the table for our 9:30pm reservation”. Open Table or when they called me to confirm never mentioned such an odd dynamic. So, the prices are insane, you sit in a cramped attic of an old house on top of the table next to you and the food is at best average. Conclusion- they build up hype for their average food by advertising they own a NYC fish market, using this rush to eat deadline, ridiculous prices, use an old dark attic, cram you next to each other and that becomes the new millennial “ Hoboken cool” way to dine. No thank you, dining out should not be redefined this way.
Really enjoyed it, will be back for sure
We really enjoyed everything we ordered: Lobster bisque, grilled octopus and lobster risotto! Plus the service was amazing. Highly recommended.
The evening was a delight. I had heard good things, and could not get in before, so expectations were high, and met. It was a full house on a rainy Tuesday. We like the small scale and older building and decor. The fish -- 2 different dishes -- was super fresh and cooked just to the right point. The swordfish was juicy, not dry! Try the lobster/crab bisque. It's full of meat and quite savory. And the tiramisu is pretty, delicious and one serving would work for most couples.
The service is good-natured, but on a full night may need small prompts. There were at least 3 birthdays going and all seemed to be having a great time.
We'll be back!
This is the best meal I've had in Hoboken. The grilled octopus over spinach and cannellini beans was perfect. Their fried calamari is the best anywhere. Excellent service, excellent food.
I was in from Long Island for a birthday dinner with my daughter on a Saturday night. From start to finish the service, wait staff and food was stellar. Just a tad bit pricey for main entrees but a wonderful selection to choose from.
A bit tight and noisy but cozy. I would definitely return and try a weeknight. The Chilean Sea bass was really outstanding. So many yummy appetizers and main dishes that it was hard to choose.
The restaurant is BYOB but we ordered wine that was delivered to our table super fast.
Overall, a great Hoboken experience.
The food was exceptionally good. Very well cooked with a great taste. Good plate size. The waiter was very helpful as he gave info about the plates we chose. Also, he was very careful with the bill and with what we ordered to go so that we can have it in time. Very nice ambiance. Actually...unique and intimate. I would recommend this place to many!
Highly recommend, no disappointment here, favor of food out of this world
The heavenly smell of fresh seafood and garlic hit me the moment the door opened. The host said, "taste is even better than the smell".
He was right. My Black Sea Bass was the best piece of fish I've had all year... and that scampi sauce, woah. My wife had the Lobster Risotto - fantastic.
We will be back. Again. And again...
Seafood Tower was very good and fresh. All entrees were prepared perfectly. Service was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly . Entrees were NYC priced but BYO made it much more reasonable.
We’ve been here many times and the food and service was excellent unfortunately we walked out feeling Less than happy.
We know there is a “90 minute” limit on a table for 2 however not only wasn’t the restaurant crowded there last night but when we were asked to leave at exactly 8pm (we arrived at 6:30pm) there was an empty table for 2 behind us and Nobody was waiting for a table when we got to the front door.
It was obvious that the waiter felt uncomfortable asking us to leave while we were still finishing off our wine but it was clear he was told to do so.
We would have had no issue leaving had the restaurant been crowded and people were waiting for the table but that was not the case.
We will clearly think twice before making another reservation here despite the good food.
Excellent dinning experience I would highly recommend it
Amazing food and I would come back in a heartbeat!
Great neighborhood spot, one of the best in Hoboken
I asked for table on the third floor which is less crowded. We were given a table on the second floor which is very crowded. The tables are small and close together. They are covered with unattractive sheet of paper. The food however, is excellent. We started on meal with two appetizers, ceviche and scallops. Both dishes were excellent. Our entrées consisted of Chilean sea bass with mashed potatoes and linguine with clam sauce. Again, they were excellent. For dessert we shared a piece of cheesecake. While it was good, it wasn’t memorable. The server was attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and service here is consistently exceptional. You will not be disappointed.
We were told we had an hour and a half for two people, which would have been plenty. But halfway through our meal, we were told another reservation was coming and was supposed to be seated an 1 hour and 15 minutes after ours started. It was over $200 (excluding the price of the wine we brought ourselves) for 65 minutes at a table where we felt rushed out of there.
Excellent food and service!
Great food. Cool spot!
One of the best overall dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! A must for anyone in the area.
Outstanding seafood prepared perfectly every time! The grilled octopus was amazing! Excellent service!
Amazing food. Just what Hoboken needed. I will be coming back for more with friends.
