   I was hugely disappointed that we could not order a la carte, as we had planned, and were told an email had been sent to advise the tasting menu was the only option. I did not get the email. If my friend had not been on crutches I would not have stayed as I really did not want a tasting menu at double the price I had anticipated to pay. For the course, I enjoyed only 2 out of the 5 dishes - the signature Cevennes onion and another I can't fully remember with a delicious veloute. The extra dish they brought because they forgot the main was a jerusalem artichoke concoction that was also outstanding. In fact all the vegetables in their dishes were fabulous, just the combined result not so much. It is a real shame, as I was looking forward to my experience there. And I was amazed at how they managed to keep the little space warm despite being outdoors. Service was impecable.

   So sad this incredible restaurant has been closed down by the powers that be at Borough Market. It is such a special place and the food is created with such love

   A lovely concept, being tucked inside the greengrocers at Borough Market, and using produce from the market. It's relaxed, charming and cosy (be aware the trains are literally overhead so that is noisy as and when one passes & it does get chilly so dress accordingly - they provide blankets and heaters, but a little strapless number and killer heels probably isn't the best choice). The food was very good. Interesting combinations, nicely balance flavours and textures. Flavours are personal. For me there was one stand out, exceptional dish, 4 or 5 good ones and a couple that didn't do it for me personally. And for me it was a little too much food. I think the wines are overpriced (or more to the point there isn't a lower budget option available, which makes it more a £150-200/head meal than £120 and I'm not sure that's great value for money, even in London. With access to great produce and waste that "felt" punchy. But if you want a veg-centric menu, beautiful cooked and plated in a quirky location, then it would be a great option.

   Vegan menu was absolutely delicious and proved to be challenging to finish. The wine selection is very good tailoring to all tastes.
