   $20.00 parking was a bit much, especially when you’re going to spend over $100.00 in the establishment. The turkey leg was really tender, but a lot of spicy 🌶️ 🥵 Overall it was a nice experience and the vibe was chilll

   The experience was awesome. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable of everything on the menu. They give you a lot of food. It was nice having a reservation because we didn't have to wait.

   Sometimes you have to be skeptical when places garner a lot of attention and clout.. i was already preparing to be disappointed after 1) i was seated and told food orders were going to take about an hour to come out, 2) the only drink i wanted from the menu, they were out of, and 3) the meal i came for (gumbo stuffed turkey leg), they were also out of. So i had to settle for food and drink i barely wanted AND wait an hour for it? Had i not pre-paid the $25 deposit, that would have been reason to leave but i sucked it up and hoped what i ordered (the shrimp alfredo turkey leg w/ side of spinach) would be worth it.. ..IT DEFINITELY WAS. Omg the leg was smoked and flavored to perfection and fell off the bone. It had an accompanying dirty rice i guess to ‘hold’ some of the shrimp alfredo, every bite was a flavor explosion and PERFECTLY COOKED, including the shrimp. The spinach was EXCELLENT, i was surprised how much i enjoyed it. The wait staff was working hard and i could tell they were stressed as most of the tables were sitting with no food for such a long time. But i let em know it was worth the wait. The only gripe i had was poor ventilation even tho they had fans and large doors opened- the smoke made my eyes burn and had me coughing a little.. i thought i was about to have to order my food to go but when i tasted it.. had to devour it then and there. Make your reservation, bring a book or something in case of a wait.. and ENJOY this black-owned gem.

    I came with my kids and their friends to celebrate two my kids birthday. Well apparently somebody that’s was in the same tents as us suppose to been smoking weed so the own told the police to tell everybody that was eating in that tent that they had to leave. The police was so rude. We was waiting on out ticket to check out. We have eaten here plenty of times. This time was worse experience ever with my kids and friends.

    I couldn’t give 5 stars simply because of the wait time. We had to wait 54 minutes precisely for a drink. The food was also cold when we got it. But it was delicious! Our entire party enjoyed the entrees they selected. I definitely recommend the shrimp Alfredo turkey leg! I will return.

    The server was horrible barely checked on us forgot to place our order and forgot what drinks we ordered we had to chase her down to ask was she coming back to help overall drinks and food were good the other employees were awesome they helped when she couldn’t she simply had to much going on and we had a reservation I would go back but I would request another server

    Visiting for a wedding. Food was Luke warm, it took 30 mins for the waitress to even come back. Every alcoholic drink I ordered was unavailable (didn’t know this was a BYOB) took another 30 mins to get a warm corona

    I came to visit turkey leg hurt all the way from Atlanta and I must stay that the food was bussing ! Very loud atmosphere and busy! Worth trying with friends and families!

    Absolutely garbage I'll never go again. They were out of everything. Anything we asked for they didn't have I really hope the one in Tempe is nothing like this omg. Never again. Then they make you spend 50 dollars on this trash. Nope never again in Houston!!!

    They asked was it a special occasion I was coming there I went for my birthday they had nothin special for a birthday. The waiters service was horrible. Waited all day for it to not be what I expected. Would’ve went somewhere else honestly

    when our food came out we had to send it back twice the first time it was cold second time you can tell it was put into the microwave . wasnt happy about fish it wasnt real catfish ... over priced overrated but nice atmosphere . i came from shreveport to visit this resturant

    I tried to reschedule my reservations due to a family emergency and was unable to get through the Voicemail was full and Could not reach anyone. Was there from Out of state and heard great things but when I kept calling no answer and had to go to the restaurant and was then told I need to call corporate which was the same number as the restaurants! They would not let me reschedule at the restaurant and have been calling corporate all day on Mo day and still no answer!! So they kept my $75 Deposit as if they needed it! Seriously upset!!

    We were here from out of town, so we had to give it a try. It wasn’t anything to brag about. I was very disappointed they had no catfish, which is what I had planned on ordering. I got the fried shrimp instead which was very good and fresh. The other 4 were not able to eat their turkey legs because the gumbo and dirty rice was too hot. So that was a waste of money. The drinks are really good and our server was amazing!!!! I would go back for the vibe but def not on my top list for Houston.

    Waitress greeted us within 10 minutes of sitting down and brought drinks. We waited about 20 minutes after the drinks came for her to actually take our order. Food came out within 5 minutes. Finished eating fairly quickly, and waited around what seemed like another 20 minutes just to flag her down so we could get to go boxes…at this point she could have brought the check so we could pay but she dropped the boxes to us and ran to another table. We waited another 10 minutes just to get the check to pay. Highly annoying. But the food was good. We made a reservation so we didn’t have to wait in line.

    1st timer and babbyyyy TLH needs to expand to Cali cause it makes ZERO SENSE how good our food was. DJs Playlist was fire, the drinks were nothing to rave over but other than that I'd definitely go again my next visit.

    I was in town for a day and couldn’t be in Houston without coming back with Turkey Leg hut! The food was PHENOMENAL, server was AMAZING and I will be back. I ended up flying home with 3 Turkey legs in my luggage and I can’t wait to get back for more.

    Large portion size proves it's bigger in Texas! The turkey leg was well seasoned, tender and smoked to perfection. The rice and spinach were delish as well. I was so hungry I forgot to take the pics. They didn't have dessert on the menu but partnered with Guzel Cakes and the options were fantastic as well. The only down sides are it's a little pricey and we didn't like the automatic tip applied even for small groups.

    The restaurant is too big to only have 2 stalls in the restrooms. Might be a good idea to invest in customer convenience rather than just adding more tables.
