My wife and I have been regular diners at Tupelo Honey for years. We love the staff. They are very friendly, and make everything enjoyable, especially the wait staff. The food selection and taste is awesome !
The location is convenient. Giant Doors open the whole restaurant to the outside. The food was delicious.
Wonderful casual dining experience. Enjoyed celebrating my Birthday Brunch at Tupelo Honey.
Great breakfast! It was so good went back the next day! I will be visit on my next trip to Asheville!
Usually we really enjoy Tupelo Honey but the service was subpar and the main ingredient was left off of my entree. This is the second time we’ve been and the service was slow/not attentive.
Food was good, drinks were subpar. We do love that they had a dog friendly outdoor area. Our waiter was friendly, but the service was quite slow.
Great biscuits made from scratch. Entrees are varied
Good food with a relaxing and safe environment. Staff are professional and engaging.
Covid has largely made me settle into my role as the house chef, But recently my partner decided enough was enough. Tupelo was able to accomodate my partner and myself at a comfortable and well lit table with short notice, and the hosts were incredibly gracious and friendly. Our server, Jaimie, greeted us with a smile, some helpful recommendations, and no small amount of pleasantries. We ordered the buttermilk chicken supper, and the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, (which, i cannot stress enough, was the BEST chicken sandwich I have ever had) The food was delicious, if a bit pricey, but the overall atmosphere, our servers friendly and helpful disposition, and the kindness of all the staff we encountered made it worth every penny. We'll be back soon, and we sure hope Jaimie takes care of us again.
Nice local flare! I recommend the peach sangria and sweet potato pancakes....yummy! And, Thomas was right at our service!! Great start to our girls week-end in Asheville!
Always great experience!
Service was good however the food was not! We have eaten at Tupelo Honey's before and absolutely loved them! But this time the chicken was extremely dry and extremely burnt! So burnt that the outside was black. Very disappointed. Also had a blue ridge mega mimosa and it was 75% oj. Server really never came to quality check us.
Good food - reasonable
Service and food was excellent!
We were sat right away at a socially distant appropriate table. Initial service was slow, but once drinks finally came, the rest of the meal was paced well. Server was friendly. God was great.
Food and atmosphere was amazing!
That fried chicken plate with 2 sides is epic. Best fried chicken in town!
You can count on consistently good food at Tupelo Honey, and their menu is large and varied so there is something for everyone. I wish it wasn’t so bright in the dining room in the evenings, though.
Perfect waiter!!! Quite amazing....
My husband and I traveled to Asheville on business. I had eaten with a friend at the Tupelo Honey in Charlotte last year and wanted to try one of the Asheville locations. First we had the buttermilk biscuits with butter and jam. My hubby said it was worth the drive just for those.
We then shared the beet pecan salad - it was plenty for both of us and was so good! I had the boneless chicken and gravy with collards and grits. He had the sweet potato pancakes with pecans, bacon, chicken and eggs. The pancakes were divine. All of my meal was delicious. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the amount of pepper on the chicken. Next time I'll ask for light seasoning. Alyssa was our server and was fantastic! She made a great meal even more enjoyable.
My wife and I tried to visit the location in downtown but we couldn’t get a reservation. So we decided to try the location in south Asheville. We had never been there before so we asked our waitress Jaimi several questions on what her favorites where. She recommended the Potato crumblings for a starter and the buttermilk fried chicken. Wow, was she right! The food was excellent and the Chicken was moist and delicious along with the collard greens. My wife had the Beet Salad and added the buttermilk chicken to it. She said it was great. I would definitely recommend this location and a shout out to Jaimi our waitress. Thanks for the great experience!
Ordered the white fried chicken and the wing came with feathers attached and weren't removed when they fried the chicken. If they had a person in the back to inspect the plates before going to the customers then they would have seen the wing and the feathers. There statement was that this food is fresh and that was the reason for overlooking this. My comment was I would hope that there food was fresh but it didn't require the chicken to have feathers if they were doing their job correctly. The side dishes were expensive and very small portions. Totally disappointed with the meal, service and location where our table was located. We asked if that could be changed and they stated "NO". We then mentioned that a booth had come available and would that be an option and again they said No. We were at the front of the restaurant by the front door which was cold. We had a table for 4 and our bill came to over $100.00 - you would think that they would offer some type of compensation for the feathers and nothing was offered.
Excellent Southern food. Creative twists on traditional dishes. Really good "mini" desserts for folks who don't want the large portions.
We dined in for a late Valentine’s Day lunch. We reserved a table for 2:00 pm but got there a little early - which turned out to be no problem. We were seated right away. The staff is absolutely amazing! But .. our girl Jaimi was out of this world. She was so kind and attentive. I haven’t ever received such hospitality in a restaurant before. There need to be more Jaimi’s in the world. The food was O..M..G. Soooo good. The covid precautions are great, tables spaced far enough apart, staff wearing masks. Thank you for that. Jaimi even thanked US for continuing to wear ours as we waited and each time she approached our table. We are both immune compromised, plus my profession puts me in close proximity to patients. I’ll take care of you / you take care of me. Thank you for taking such good care of us!! Excellent day!
We chose to dine here for Valentine’s Day brunch and had a great experience. From the start, our server, Jaimi was fantastic. She was professional yet relatable, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout our entire experience. I ordered the “Queen Mary” after seeing one on the table next to us when we were sat and it was delivered in a timely fashion and tasted great. We started with the fried green tomatoes and biscuits with butter and blueberry jam, both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the jam that was served with the biscuits and the goat cheese grits that were served with the tomatoes. I even ordered an extra side of them with the fried chicken I had for my meal. My boyfriend ordered the Shoo Mercy Griddle with waffles and was satisfied with everything on the plate-which by the way was huge! The only critique we could give would be that the chicken was a bit inconsistent. My boyfriends was slightly over cooked and we felt as though the brine taste was not as significant as expected. However, this may be due to just a personal preference! A floor manager stopped by to see how our meal was going and Jaimi was engaged and would have been available if it had indeed been less desirable. She truly made our visit worthwhile and we would love to come back and sit with her again.
Our service was great from the minute we walked in the door. I was very happy we made a reservation since they were turning people away as fast as they came in. Our waitress was on the ball with drinks and taking our order and she was friendly and happy. Our appetizer came out fast and we had plenty of time before the meal arrived. Our food was delicious which made Valentines Day a success!
Love this place!!! The food was awesome and so were the specialty Mimosas. :)
Delicious brunch and great decor
They take social distancing VERY seriously. It's refreshing to have customers safety over profit.
We very much enjoyed our brunch at the South Asheville location. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. Drinks were great as well!
Waitress was kind and fun!!
The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable but the kitchen messed up our order twice. Also we ordered an appetizer never got utensils or plates we had to ask for it. It was one thing after another and I was upset because it was my anniversary, we didn’t even order dessert because we just wanted to leave. Even the waiter stated the kitchen staff wasn’t used to a busy night and our orders were wrong but in my opinion it wasn’t even that busy I had been to the other one in downtown Asheville which is continuously busy and never had had an issue.
The staff werenfriendly and attentive. The food was delicious and fairly priced The restaurat was clean and well maintained. Thank you for a great experience!
I am gluten-free, and we eat here every time we come to Asheville. I had the cobb salad with grilled chicken added and my husband had the pork shoulder. We shared and everything was soooo good! We had reservations, which I highly recommend because every other table is closed down due to covid. They have a server relief fund to help out servers out of work when you buy biscuits (my husband loved them). I thought that was great. Our server was Alyssa and she was awesome! Highly recommend!
My favorite Tupelo Honey location! Delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere.
As always, we enjoyed the experience. Food was great. However, it was a limited menu. That may be due to the covid-19 situation. Highly recommend the restaurant.
Great service and great recommendations from staff on food choices. Perfect brunch spot.
Great food and amazing service! Ask for Murray! He was very attentive and personable.
The service was not up to par.. we sat there 15 minutes before any type of service was offered
We went for a triple date with my husband and his siblings after a long day at Biltmore. We ate there 2 times this weekend, once for date night and then this time. Both times were wonderful, yummy, and worth the experience!
We go to Tupelo Honey in Greenville a few times a year (our first date was there 5 years ago, so it holds a special place with us), and I love that the experience and taste are consistent with both.
We always get the biscuits for a cause, it wouldn’t be the same without them and the jam! I have yet to be disappointed with anything, and out crowd loved their meals (definitely something for everyone on the menu).
