Consistently good food. Service was distracted, but friendly.
Food - excellent on all cylinders! Service - excellent in every way! Our waiter made sure we felt safe and taken care of esp. in the midst of the worry all around us! He took great care of my family.
This place used to be so much better. Now the chicken is just dry and over cooked and the service is mediocre. Had to wait 20 minutes just to get our drinks and they came out with our food.
The absolute BEST food I have ever eaten. This place’s menu is amazing
Great food! Great service!
Booking was easy. Tupelo's even called me the day of to make sure everything was good. The hostess was nice, our server was competent, our food was delicious. Highly recommend!
great service and food!
Again, Tupelo Honey never fails! Chicken and biscuits are the perfect comfort brunch food!
Everything from the food to the service was amazing. We were visiting from out of town and it made us wish we had a Tupelo Honey local to us. We will DEFINITELY be dining here again on our next visit.
Normally love going to Tupelo but this location was the worst one I’ve been to. The biscuits were dry and hard and my burger was burnt (I mean completely black). Love this restaurant chain so I was unfortunately highly disappointed in this dinning experience.
In our new reality, it's nice to find a place with awesome outdoor dining!
Before this, I tried the Myrtle Beach location. Fried chicken was dry and tasted like it had been out of the fryer for a good hour or so. Friend green tomatoes were flavorless (apart from the toppings).
Then tried this South Asheville location. Cauliflower bites unseasoned (and unsalted), as were the loaded "potato cracklins". The Southern "revival" shrimp and grits had no sausage and the sauce tasted (and smelled) strongly of fish stock; the grilled lemon was the saving grace that made this edible.
Other diner got an avocado eggs benedict that tasted like seafood—fish or crab, depending which taster you asked. Will chalk that one up to an unintended kitchen error.
Cobb salad was lovely; grilled chicken perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Fried pickles unseasoned, but the pickle thickness and breading was excellent.
Cocktails slightly above average; mimosas below.
Very disappointed. The chicken was over cooked. Nothing had much favor also not all of the food was brought out at once. Also ran out of sauce for their honey spicy chicken, don’t know how that happens. The was overall cold just very disappointing!
Before we finished the appetizer they served our entree. I ordered the honey dusted fried chicken which was not hot and the meat was extremely dry and not at all tasty.
Great french toast! Pulled pork grilled cheese was also very delicious.
Honestly the food was unseasoned and disappointing. Everyone was very very nice though
Delicious meal, fantastic attentive service.
Loved it! All four of our meals were amazingly delicious and the service excellent! Gave a four for ambiance because it was a little bright. But just my personal taste🤷♀️😄. Go! Eat there! You won’t be disappointed!😊
The food here is extremely creative and full of flavor. Outstanding! Ask for Jaimie. She’s amazing. We’ll be back next time we’re in Asheville!
Food was very good even though the restaurant was out of catfish. Very clean and well spaced tables. We enjoyed our evening meal and also had a delicious brunch there the day before.
Great food and great people working there!
Great food, wonderful server
Great service and excellent food!
It was fine - not terrible, not great. The pimento cheese appetizer was cold and they cooked my burger wrong twice. I asked for it medium and it came well done. They took it back to fix it and it came well done again. By that time, my fries were cold and I was full from the appetizers. The fried green tomatoes were delicious!
This was my second visit to this Tupelo Honey location and it was great, just like the first one. We travel to Asheville and this is now my go to place. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is fresh, fresh, fresh and the menu is so interesting. I highly recommend Tupelo Honey South Asheville.
Was ok food, nothing special. Fried Chicken breasts were dry. Mac & Cheese tasted leftover and was also dry. Side salad was good but I prefer smaller pieces. Also plates so small when you try to cut food it comes off, not good.
Husband’s birthday brunch before the Biltmore tour
Didn’t have what I wanted on the menu . Getting rid of the mountain harvest bowl and frie cauliflower was a bad idea . The waitress didn’t even let us know before ordering about me I changed I’m never returning to that Tupelo . Drove to Greenville and they had it for now that is
My husband and I were traveling for the Holiday and wanted a good filling brunch spot to fill up before we went explore. Our meal was delicious and the staff was very nice I definitely recommend this to friends!
Atmosphere, service and food very nice. Definitely will visit again soon.
I’ve been to this restaurant 3 times, but never this location. The service was excellent, but the food I got was mediocre. I ordered a veggie bowl with roasted veggies. The veggies tasted like they were roasted 5 days prior, the cauliflower rice was mush and tasted. It was really not a good dish. I paid extra for grilled shrimp, which smelled very fishy and were tasteless. I I also ordered a fried green tomato appetizer with grits and some kind of bitter tomato sauce. The ONLY good thing was my Bloody Mary. Really disappointed at the overpriced mediocre food at this location.
First time to visit but had been recommended by several friends. Food was great! I’d definitely recommend to others and come back often.
The food and service was amazing.
Food was amazing, especially the biscuits! I do recommend getting a reservation on line so you do not have to wait long.
Sweet potato pancakes are amazing!! Everything is good.
Always love any Tupelo Honey Cafe. The food is great. Friendly service. I love that they are raising money for employees impacted by COVID restrictions by selling their yummy biscuits
We came here with a friend who has Celiac disease. They were very accommodating and had lots of options for him. He was impressed. All the food was soooo good, I'm never disappointed when we come.
Overpriced. You certainly need to order an appetizer to leave fully satisfied. Great service.
We love Tupelo Honey! The food and setting is always perfect. The service is top of the line as well. We will always have this on top of our list!
What happened to the biscuits!?!?!?!! These were not soft, flakely, buttery, Buttermilk biscuits. They were like red lobster biscuits without the cheese. We hadn't been in, in over a year due to military orders but we always go to tupelo when we come back to visit. I'm unsure if this will be the case moving forward. It seems that the main stream has killed this gem.
