Tupelo Honey was very good! I don’t remember what our waiter’s name was, but he was great! Very knowledgeable and helpful to answer all of our questions! The menu is definitely not your typical menu but you can definitely find something you would like.
We had the nicest brunch at Tupelo Honey yesterday. Try the fried green tomatoes, they are delicious. We had the Eggs Benny and the Chicken and Waffles, both were perfect! Our friends enjoyed the Breakfast Bowl and the Avocado Toast. The coffee was robust and always kept hot by our fantastic server, Ryan. We felt very well attended by Ryan, and very much appreciated the whole experience. I would strongly suggest making a reservation! We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival, almost exactly at the time of our reservation. Pretty “sweet” if you ask me!
Second trip here in 3 days. It was awesome. Manager, Adam, very nice and took time out to make us feel very welcome. We sat at the bar both visits. We do prefer the bar and the bar staff is amazing. Tori and Kristie were the bartenders for the 2 different visits. Kristie took care of us during Sunday brunch. The service, food,
cocktails and atmosphere here are top notch. We will be back on our next trip to Asheville!
The food, waitstaff, and ambiance was great!! Sat at high tables. Great experience all around. Strongly recommend reservations. Pork skillet was next level.
Awesome service at the bar and the manager also very friendly. Great time!
We loved our server he made our dinner experience so nice !! And the food was also excellent !!
Two friends told me I had to eat here. Awesome food. Wish I could get my hands on more of those fried tomatoes and the meatloaf.
This place is a must for anyone visiting the Asheville area.
Amazing food, wonderful service and overall great experience. Will come back FOR SURE
We've been there a couple times and enjoy the great tasting food but a decent price.
The wait staff are friendly and on top of things. We'll be back
The food is AMAZING. Definitely get the honey sriracha fried chicken it will literally change your life. On top of that service was great. They were very helpful with suggestions. Great experience will definitely eat here again and again!!!
Great service and great food, manager very personable
Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the food was amazing!
Fried chicken was good but not as good as I expected. I've had better.
It was ok... we had reservations so we were seated right away. Our server was efficient, helpful and polite. There was alot of hustle and bustle, which I understand due to how busy they were. I also understand that Covid has changed the overall layout of the restaurant, which is why I felt we were shoved against a wall just to get 2 more people in. But the food was my least favorite part. The basil on top of and in the batter of the fried green tomatoes overwhelmed the entire dish. You couldn't taste the gouda in the grits, any distinguishable spices in the sauce or the bitterness of the tomato. I got the Mac & Cheese waffles and chicken. As I cut into the chicken, the breading immediately fell off which left the thinly pounded out chicken thigh fully exposed. The honey Sriracha sauce was really nice, good balance. I had a love/hate opinion about the Mac & Cheese waffles. I love the idea, but I think if we're doing Mac & Cheese waffles, the Mac & Cheese should be the star. Waffle mix with a little noodle and cheese doesn't quite fit the bill. With that being said, they were cooked well and stood up to the chicken. My husband didn't have too many complaints about his honey dusted fried chicken, so maybe it was my choice in food. The service was amazing and the ambience was ok.
The perfect way to start are Asheville vacation. The food was delicious and drinks were top notch. Definitely recommend trying the biscuits!
Fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits were amazing!!!
Amazing food, service was great, really enjoyed our experience there!
We definitely did not feel the food lived up to the hype. Also, it was expensive for what it was.
Wonderful place for lunch/brunch. The expanded space allows for COVID socially distanced tables. The service was excellent, and the food, even more excellent.
Cannot wait to go again, but get your reservations early, or expect to wait!
Great atmosphere and staff! Very comfortable place with great food!
Cauliflower tacos were delicious as well as biscuits! Great server
Best cat head biscuits anywhere! The chicken breast in the sandwich was incredible and the potato cracklins were like nothing I've ever had. Worth the calories. Oh heck, this is not a calorie counting place! Enjoyed every bite!
Great brunch on a weekday with our four young children. Service was great and the staff was super friendly and kind. They really helped make our 10 year old’s birthday breakfast a success!
Food and service were excellent.
Food/drinks were delicious! I had the fried green tomatoes on grits and my husband had the cauliflower bites, they were both a perfect balance of flavors! Our waitress was was excellent with food and drink recommendations and gave us wonderful advice on some places to hike and to try good, local beer. They were good at keeping folks separated and strictly following covid safety protocols. The location is very touristy, but worth it.
Amazing food and service, never disappointed eating at TH
This is a must try restaurant in Asheville. A family member recommended we try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, Shoo Mercy, and the chicken and waffles with macaroni inside the waffle! It was a great experience.
We come to Asheville 4-5 times a year and we always make a point to visit Tupelo Honey. It’s some of the best food you can find in Asheville and the staff is always incredibly courteous. You can’t go wrong here. The biscuits are next level amazing.
Loved everything about this place, from the food, to the servers, to the decor. We were there for Sunday brunch, and it was great that we had a reservation on OpenTable. Highly recommend!
This was our second visit to Tupelo-Asheville Downtown and it did not disappoint. The hosts on both visits have not been the warmest, but the servers and food make up for that. Making a reservation for breakfast/brunch is strongly encouraged. The sweet and spicy (sriracha honey?) fried chicken is our go-to dish. Tupelo is worth the visit.
Great menu, great service, and a great time was had by all. I would make reservations though. We were seated in a part of the restaurant that was not so crowded and there were lots of people waiting who had not made reservations.
I come here every Sunday. So I'm biased in how much I love Tupelo Honey. 😁
Fantastic food and service.
We has the best time! The biscuits and potato cracklings were amazing, great way to kick off a laid back meal. We all had fried chicken and said best we have ever had! Would return!
Great food. Nice atmosphere and entire waitstaff were friendly and attentive.
The food was very good and the farm to table concept is nice. Long wait so get your name in and wander the area...the Woolworth walk had beautiful local arts vendor stalls.
Delicious experience. Innovative and fun! Usually plant based, I decided I needed to try the shrimp and Grits. So glad I did! My son loved his mac and cheese stuffed waffles with chicken. Glad we found this place during our brief stop in Ashville.
11/10 best meal of the trip. We were very happy we were sat at our table early due to the rain! Our server was really informative and cheery and shared some delicious drink specials with us (you must try the debutante). Food and service were both great.
OMG so good. The fried green tomatoes and the pork bowl were amazing! Don't let the fact they they have a few Tupelo's across the country deter you from going to the one in Asheville because it was to die for. Also we had an awesome friendly server and you can sign up on their site to get a free pint glass or $5 off your meal.
Great location. Great food. Lots of options. We had a large group and they were great to accommodate us. We will definitely go again next trip.
