   Chicken tasted like it had been sitting under a warmer for hours. We had to ask the server to bring us water. Definitely not the experience we remembered from previous visits.

   So glad sweet potato pancakes are back on menu! They are as delicious as I remember from a few years ago! Worth the 1300 calories!! Server was great & service was fast & efficient.

   Well we went later on a Sunday. Not many people there which makes sense. Oddly there must have been some sort of fire truck drill because there were several fire engines that went by blaring their horns over and over. Also loud barking dogs on the patio. The food was fine, nothing spectacular. Would not return even if I lived nearby.

   my family and I have been eating here since the very beginning. We’ve never had a bad meal or experience. Fried green tomatoes, chicken, and waffles, all of it. Superlative.

   Great fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. Best goat cheese grits around. A great tradition in Asheville.

   I had the smothered chicken and biscuits. I did not like how the biscuit had been broken up into pieces before being covered in gravy. I much prefer the biscuits to just be cut in half. The chicken was good. My girlfriend got the mountain morning bowl and was disappointed. The entire dish was cold. Cold grits, cold sauce and a cold fried egg. The potatoes were the only thing hot. Service was good so no complaint there. Probably won’t go back.
