   We went to Trumpets to celebrate, we were very disappointed. My dinner the crab cakes were terrible the server forgot my soup the bake clams had no taste the rice seemed to be old and tasteless we were very disappointed! The one and only dish that was good was the shrimp.

   Delicious meals, excellent service. We enjoyed the halibut and salmon dishes. However, the lamb was not evenly cooked, some of it was rare and other parts dried out. Next time we will be more precise in ordering and hopefully they will be more consistent. Beautiful ambiance and view of Moriches Bay to Dune Road.

   My family has been going to Trumpets for 15 years. Never have we had such horrible service or experience. After our order was taken, our waitress disappeared. Tables around us all received their food and left . I was forced to get up to ask the hostess Dee if our order was lost. She checked on our food and told us repeatedly that it was coming, yet it was someone else’s. When our order finally arrived we were met with aggression from our waitress along, with the hostess. My husband ordered a veal chop, which was not a veal chop. My father ordered a filet which looked like and tasted like strip. Someone came to our table to inspect the food and we told that we were wrong. I have never seen the inside of a veal chop the color of a steak. When the bill arrived … the $65 non veal chop was still on the bill … as was everything else. We had to fight to get our food, and then we were attacked by the staff when it finally came … and came out wrong. All we received was a cold and insincere “I’m sorry” .. perhaps they are under new management, or the staff hasn’t been trained properly, but think twice before you make a reservation this year.

   We went to Trumpets to celebrate my mom and dad’s 66th Anniversary. The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff friendly and efficient and the food was outstanding! We were not rushed and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

   My husband & I have been coming to Trumpets on the Bay for 2 yrs. We bring family members to celebrate special occasions and have always been wowed by the food & service. The past 2 times we were there including last night we were not wowed. Our server Joseph was great & knowledgeable. The baked clams didn't have much flavor & neither did the stuffed grouper or the pineapple margaritas. Very disappointed in the food that we have been raving about to our foodies & they were unimpressed as well. We came from Melville & Smithtown which is quite a distance to travel. Sadly we're not sure we'll be back

   We have been to Trumpets multiple times and have had the best service, drinks and food. BUT Unfortunately there was a large party and the service was not good. The food was good. The drinks were not made properly. We sent it back. Lamb was delicious, but overall very disappointing this visit.

   A favorite stop while in the Hamptons. Dee always makes you feel like family and the food and service are consistent. Such a pleasure to call this "our spot"!

   Lovely restaurant! Our meals were delicious. Service was great. Beautiful decor with spectacular view of Moriches Bay. Perfect for a date night or special occasion. Highly recommend....

    Ate at Trumpets in early April to celebrate 2 birthdays. There were 5 of us. Food & service outstanding. The fish special was delicious. Bringing 2 family members on 5/3 who have never eaten at Trumpets but know we rave over the food, service and ambiance. Daughter in law is vegan. Hopefully you can accommodate her!
