True Food Kitchen is a chef-driven restaurant and scratch bar that was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, the pioneer of integrative medicine, to provide food that tastes great and is good for you. We got there about 7:45pm and they were out of at least 3 menu items we wanted. Everything else was fine. We love this place because of the great ingredients they use. That’s been consistent.

Starting with lemon muffins always a homerun. Split the avocado toast and blueberry pancakes and that was perfect!

This was ok, I think I just ordered the wrong dish as my dining companions seemed to like theirs. I am thankful that as a celiac they had several great options but mine was not as good as expected. I should have stuck with the basics:) On the other hand, the dishes my family got looked amazing so will have to try again.

After reading some mixed comments on Mother’s Day seating, we decided to give it a shot for Father’s Day. Everything was super smooth. We were seated promptly, our server Heather was great and food arrived timely and was awesome. Definitely will come again.

My husband and I are big fans of True Food! Unfortunately, we brought our family here for Father’s Day and quickly realized how limited the menu options are. Although this doesn’t change things for us and it will remain on our rotation we’ll definitely need to look elsewhere for family gatherings.

They have changed their menu and things taste differently now. The options are not the same as they were when we fell in love with this place. I realize this happens with restaurants per season, but we typically get the teriyaki bowl and the mushrooms were very sour changing the complete taste of the dish. They no longer offer warm pita bread with the hummus, but rather a crispy chip, which are still yummy, but miss the warm pita.

We’ve tried to give True Food Kitchen multiple chances, but the experience continues to miss the mark. Our server was clearly working hard and doing her best, but she was overwhelmed and needed more support. Service was slow at times, forgetful at others, and a substitution was made on our meal without asking—something we were told would be adjusted on the bill, but wasn’t. No manager ever came by, and no one followed up on a previous review where we shared similar concerns. For an expensive brunch, the issues and small portions made it feel like a poor value. We want to love TFK, but lately we keep leaving disappointed.
