   I think we have found another new favorite go to restaurant in Wilmington! We made a reservation at True Blue at the Forum to celebrate 2 milestone birthdays. They did not disappoint! They allowed us to drop off flowers for the table ahead of time, the staff signed "birthday Menus" for the 2 people we were celebrating, and they even accommodated a last minute addition to our party. The FOOD is FANTASTIC! Everyone in our party was thoroughly pleased with their dishes, the flavours were outstanding and even accommodated our dietary restrictions without a hitch! I also highly recommend the specialty cocktails, they too were fantastic! The staff are amazing, we couldn't have chosen a better way to celebrate. We will definitely return to True Blue Butcher & Table!

   This was our first visit to this location. We previously had eaten at Butcher and Barrel. The service was exceedingly great and the food is flavorful. I got the 6 0z filet and my son got the 9 oz, we could have easily split the 9 oz. It was cooked perfectly, medium rare. I added the blue cheese fondue, the portion size is extremely large for one person. I would suggest this be split with at least 4 people. I wish they had a smaller size. My son got the mushroom butter. We ordered the brussel sprouts which were phenomenal! We also ordered the bread and butter with the bone marrow bread pudding, very different but tasty. I think they baked it a little bit too long. We ended with cream brûlée, it truly is the best I’ve had, creamy, eggy, and delightful. We both had a drink, only complaint was my sons beer had at least 1/2 of a head on it. The waitress commented and said it was from a bottle and that particular beer did that, she had to put it very slowly. Our waitress was wonderful! It is VERY loud in there but it didn’t bother me at all. I can see older people complaining about this. We will definitely go back.

   Made reservation and was immediately seated with my husband. We ordered lagers and made our choices for lunch. My husband order the Steak Frites and I ordered grouper tacos. The Steak Frites were delicious, but the grouper tacos were a bit on the overcooked side. Our server Julia was wonderful and very responsive...of course we will return and will probably both get the Steak Frites!!!

   Our first time, after reading positive Opentable reviews. It was crowded, nice atmosphere, with impressive presentation/decor. My wife ordered a filet, my son's guest pasta, my son & I ordered 14 oz prime NY Strips. All w/ 3 shareable sides. Their dining experiences were fine. But my dining experience was a disaster. My medium rare steak, while impressive looking, was under cooked, tartar rare w/ cold purple middle, so I asked it be corrected. I had sides on my plate too. The waitress took it all back. Over 10 minutes later, on a plate without my sides, I got a different steak that I honestly believe came from their garbage. No manager with it either. It had no char but far worse tasted spoiled. I asked my son to sample a small piece to ensure I wasn't dreaming. He spit it into his napkin. I advised the waitress, who offered a whole new steak but at that point, the other 3 had finished. I was disgusted, insulted, & lost my appetite. After 10 more mins, the manager finally came over to offer apologies, but only after reminding our waitress how upset I was. It was, without question, a deliberate act of vindictive behavior by their kitchen. Even at a fine dining establishment, we know things can go wrong, I get it, but that steak was a nightmare. Sadly, I did not retain it to send to the NC Board of Health for analysis. While the manager took my steak off the bill, his lack of urgency to my attention, plus the long, elapsed time, only to to be presented with a horrible piece of $%^&, has me irate. He cited other priorities for his delay, maybe other complaints? He also offered us a $50 voucher which we left behind. His lack of action spoke much louder than his words. I read how Bobby Zimmerman named his restaurant "True Blue" but I can't help feeling that it's disingenuous. Sorry Bobby but when 4 people dine at a fine restaurant, all 4 should have great experiences. 3 of 4 doesn't cut it. And your kitchen staff should be disciplined for their performance.

   Service was good but inexperienced and a little slow. As we come here often a changing or more expansive menu would be better. However, food was very good!

   Huge fan of True Blue! Love going there. The food is always great, the bartenders make tremendous cocktails, and I have yet to have bad service. Yes, it’s a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for.

    Food was good, but not the best I’ve had at this price point. Food service took a while. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was loud. A casual dining experience with a higher price tag. No complaints though beside that, I’d return for the drinks and bar snacks.

    Went to celebrate a birthday dinner and the entire staff went above and beyond. Our waiter, Alex, made the entire experience entertaining and enjoyable. The quality of meat is outstanding!

    I was so excited to go here on a recent trip to Wilmington, but it wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. Everyone enjoyed their food it seemed but my husband, who is easy to please and never complains, only was able to eat sides. His steak, ordered medium rare, looked more like medium well. Which ok, no big deal and he sent it back. But the steak that came back was mooing. At that point, everyone was done with their meals and he didn’t want to make everyone wait while the meal was over. I don’t think that I would even say anything if the response to it wouldn’t have been so dismissive. The staff was not attentive and just dropped the food without checking in even after the new steak was delivered. We had to stop the waitress and her response was, “what’s up”. We just felt like we were putting them out. They didn’t charge us for his steak but my husband was left eating off other people’s plates. I’m in service industry and I and I can’t imagine being so inattentive. Unfortunately, even though we have a beach house nearby, we won’t be going back. I was hoping for a new spot to take my family.

    Smash burger was good. We would not order the crab cakes again. A bit pricey but you are paying for ambiance. Uses cloth napkins.

    It was wonderful. It was my oldest sons birthday. We had a lovely dinner. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very attentive and remembered our order perfectly. I definitely come again.

    We celebrated our 18-year-old daughter’s birthday there. The staff did everything possible to make that experience a memorable one! The service was top-notch, and the food was amazing. Will definitely be coming back again.

    We got the 16 0z prime ribeye- well seasoned, tender and cooked correctly. Crab cake was very good- although the kitchen forgot to put mine in so it came after everything else- but they made it right and comped them. Server was very good and attentive. Hostess was not friendly- a shame because it kinda gave us a bad feeling when we first walked in- not the tone this restaurant should want to immediately set for customers. Overall it was good- we would go back but there are better choices in Wilmington

    Weave reservation for my bachelorette brunch here! The food was the best! 100% recommend the crab cake Benedict. Was a perfect spot for our fun weekend weekend of celebration. Can’t wait to come back and visit!

    We decided on this restaurant for my husbands birthday dinner as he is a fan of dry aged steaks. I made the reservation days in advanced and our the table given by the hostess was right in the path of the entrance, only a few feet from the door, on a 30 degree night. It was very frustrating to be sat so poorly when reservations were made as others who came in after us were sat in much more favorable places throughout the restaurant. We weren’t too thrilled upon our interaction with the hostess, but once we met our server, Orlando everything changed. Orlando has immaculate taste for wine & food pairings along with great conversation that my husband and I enjoyed. He is very knowledgeable on the menu, Wilmington in itself and the other locations belonging to the brand. The crab cake is the best I have had and the steak was impressive - this place does not cheap out when it comes to portions either. Take my advice, request Orlando if you are wanting to eat here, he will not disappoint ( even if your freezing the entire night, interrupted by other customers brushing you as the walk by to leave, and hostesses that act like they are being forced to work there)

    Dry aged strip and dry aged ribeye... very good dry aged flavor. Drinks were nice. Brussel sprouts were tasty but could have been a bit more crispy. The ribeye ordered medium came out way too red and our server Olivia took care of it, and was generally very attentive our entire meal.

    Such a great atmosphere guys. Wonderful food, the service was impeccable, the drinks were pro-level, we couldn't have wished for a better way to celebrate some time together. I couldn't recommend this place with any more fervency. Great job y'all. One of the best places in all of Wilmington, from Surf City through Wrightsville, the cargo district to downtown. Top notch.

    We celebrated my 50th Birthday at True Blue. It was a wonderful experience and the staff ensured my visit was special. Our waiter was well trained and knowledgeable and the food was incredible. We will be back!

    The food was delicious. Bacon cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and the special sandwich made from prime rib was amazing. The meal was complete with the flourless chocolate cake with the white chocolate ganache! I cannot wait to get back for another meal!

    We’ve been before and wanted to go For an early New Year’s Eve dinner. Food was delicious and portions were perfect. We split the wedge salad and asparagus. We both had a 6oz. filet. We didn’t feel rushed and had an excellent server. We will definitely be back!
