This was our first time there. The restaurant was beautiful. We brought our 6-month-old, so we were happy to see other families with small children. The staff were nice and quick. Mainly, we had issue with our food and one annoyance with our server. We had the crab cake as an appetizer, beef rib bolognese and prongs (a special) for our entrees along with a side of farm veggies, and the crème brûlée for dessert. The crab cake along with the sauce and salad that came with it were absolutely delicious. It had us excited for the entrees, but unfortunately we were disappointed with them. The bolognese tasted like a basic tomato sauce you could get in a jar at the grocery store and the pasta was overcooked. The prongs were bland, tough, and overcooked as well. The farm veggies also didn’t seem to have any type of seasoning but were just super oily. The entrees were overpriced for what we got, but thankfully the dessert saved the night as it was nearly perfect. For our server Adrianna (I think), she was fast, kind, and helpful as I wanted a mocktail and she brought me a refreshing drink, but we did not appreciate her upselling us. She told us the specials, and I ordered the prongs. Then she asked me, “What side?” So, I ordered the farm veggies. My boyfriend ordered the bolognese and as she was walking away from our table, she asked him if he wanted bread with it, which he replied yes. When we received the bill, we were surprised to find that the bread and veggies were charged as extra. Had I known the meal didn’t come with a side, I would not have ordered them, especially with how underwhelming they were. We both work in the service industry so we were highly disappointed. If we ever come back, we are just sticking with the crab cake and crème brûlée.

My wife & I both had the ribeye's. They were seasoned well, very tender and not much fat. the we each had different sauces and they were very good as well. The steaks and and sides were priced well considering the quality received. We each ordered a single glass of house cabernet sauvignon wine and was astounded when I received the bill of $40.00 price per glass. We never would have ordered the wine at that price. I have ordered house wine at other restaurants and prices were between $10 to $25 a glass. Should have checked the wine list.

We started with the mini tower for an app, it was excellent. The main course came - medium rare Kansas City steak it was over cooked, they took it back and out came a very rare steak that didn't taste nearly as good as the 1st? I had the grouper with the lemon caper sauce the fish portion was tiny and the cup of sauce (they charged extra) was enough for 10 servings? Diner was $250 with tip, ridiculously over-priced for the what we got.

The menu is limited but interesting and novel enough to differentiate True Blue from other lunch restaurants. When the restaurant is full it can be very noisy , and the AC blows frigid air on you AND on the food .

Still hitting on all cylinders at Butcher & Table. Excellent selection and variety of cocktails to start off the experience. A different yet tasty change on the classic wedge salad. Attentive yet not cloying service. Great selection of steaks, at fair market prices, expertly prepared. The 35 day dry aged KC Strip was a treat and the filet was perfectly medium rare and melted in your mouth. The potato roasties are wonderful at both “Table” and “Barrel”. 3/4 of desserts were gluten free so we tried the flourless chocolate tort - wonderful flavor and consistency and the sauce was divine. Great selection of wines across regions, varietals AND price points.

It is too noisy in there with the music, no buffering of sound in a small venue.
