   Golfed 9 holes and then treated ourselves to dinner at Trovato...it had come highly recommended, and it did not disappoint! My steak was cooked to perfection, my husband's risotto was wonderful - the Caesar salad was huge - you may split it with your partner. The service was excellent - the space was beautifully renovated... and you can't beat the ambiance on the Maple River! We'll be back!

   I’m rating this as the best restaurant in town between Harbor Springs and Petoskey. All dishes are consistently excellent in terms of quality of ingredients, presentation and taste. Service is very good and the setting is so beautiful.

   Trovato hit it out of the ballpark for their Mother's Day brunch. The menu was a combination of sweet and savory. Every dish was to die for. The Bloody Mary was probably one of the best I've ever had. I could go on and on about the food; it was really that good. The staff was on top of it with the service, so friendly and accommodating. Chef Dean even came out to say hello and check on the tables. The view of the Maple River is so nice it sets the stage for such a lovely dining experience. We can't wait to go back!

    This was a fantastic place for dinner. Our waiter George was exceptional. He was attentive and offered additional service beyond basic expectations (dinner choices, to-go packaging, etc). The chef's amuse-bouche was delicious and unexpected as well. The food itself was excellent and I highly recommend this location to other diners.

    Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was welcoming with an awesome view of the Maple River. The staff and greeter were very nice. Our waiter George was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and awesome. Then we also had a drink at the bar, chatted with Nathan the Sommelier to find out there are wine paring meals we could attend also in the future. Great atmosphere with really nice people. We definitely will be visiting again.

    Excellent food and presentation. We had a very nice experience. This restaurant is in the top echelon of all of them in a 30 mile circle ( at least). They are really working hard to gear up for summer. Friendly staff and a very nice physical setting. Highly recommend….

    This was our first time here since there’s been new ownership and branding. The presentation was great, and cocktails were very well made. Service was incredible and waiter was very knowledgeable of food and wine. The food was outstanding! They can potentially get some higher end Italian wines, but I was told they in fact are and will be updating the wine menu. We will be back for sure!

    this was our first time at trovato - we had good reviews from friends and were not disappointed. the food was imaginative and the service was attentive. our server was seamus and he knew his stuff. we definitely return and am hoping for outdoor service when the weather improves.

    We were there celebrating my parents 70th anniversary and found our choice to be perfect. The service was spot on…with everyone engaging and pleasant. The food was wonderful and well presented. And the special dessert much appreciated. Thank you for a fine experience.

    Brilliance! From the moment we entered.. They opened the door and greeted us, to the very last bite of dessert. Craft cocktails were superb, portion sizes just right allowing us to enjoy said dessert. Wine selection bountiful! The entrées were so delicious we couldn’t agree on which was the favorite.     Chef Dean never disappoints! Beautiful view overlooking the creek, even though it was chilly, we went outside with our drinks. The homemade pasta with wild game meatballs is still a massive favorite for me. Brussels sprouts appetizer continues to be delicious along with the the fish entree. As we get into the Up North high season, best to book early! Great restaurants always get busy - and deservedly so!!

    This is a beautiful location. The Maple River flows just below, flowing under a covered bridge. This time of the year with snow covered ground on the hillside--need I go on. The food was very good, served promptly by an absolutely wonderful young lady. We actually asked for something prepared a little differently than offered on the menu and this was done with no problems at all. Thank you Trovato for a truly delightful meal.

    This was our first experience there. The food was OUTSTANDING. Sure a bit pricey but I don't mind paying for quality. The service was understandably slow as they were obviously short handed for the size of the crowd. We were told two employees were off with family issues and it made a noticable difference but everyone was hustling and it was both tolerable and explained. So they can get a pass on it.

    We attended the Valentine’s Day dinner. We started with a drink at the bar which was fantastic. The service was pretty slow for dinner, but our waiter was great. He did mention that they were down a couple of servers that night. The food was fabulous- my compliments to the chef. We will definitely be making Trovato a frequent spot for dinner. Love how the restaurant has been redesigned and the circle bar is fantastic. Can’t wait to visit when it is light outside as I know the view is awesome.

    Chef Dean provides a wonderful menu that consistently delights us. The bar’s mixologist continues to serve interesting special cocktails. Our server George was attentive, professional, and timed the courses perfectly. What more to be said?
