Ray was so gracious! It really made our night meeting him and taking a photo. No better way to start out a Bruins game date night! Plus, the fact that the food was amazing didn't hurt. We LOVE this place.
Excellent excellent excellent. Food and service were top notch. Ray visiting tables was special. His restaurant is great because he's doing it the right way!
We went in as a birthday celebration, and it was really a great experience. The dining room is much smaller than I had expected, but it was still cozy. Fire place wasn’t lit, but the room was warm enough so it didn’t need it. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our entrees (he had the Black Tiger Shrimp Pasta dish and I had a Tenderloin), but the appetizer really blew my mind. We had the Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms and those were crazy good. A little bonus is that we got a visit from one of the Chefs (Chef Richard?) to the neighboring table, but he also spoke to us as well. Truly awesome! Definitely coming back.
We asked for a quiet table, away from the door, and the bathroom, as it was a date night for my wife and I. And we got it! A nice table upstairs warm and lower noise. That being said, Tresca can get a little loud. It’s a vibrant Italian restaurant in a vibrant neighborhood. That’s why always ask for a quieter table. The food was great. The salad’s and antipasto are awesome. The pastors are also really good.
My wife and I went for our 30th Anniversary. The food and service were great as always. The staff even surprised us with a complimentary tiramisu to celebrate. Tresca is our favorite restaurant and never disappoints.
It didn’t really have the charm that I was expecting for Hanover Street/North End. The bar was pretty but we were on the other side. Wait service was phenomenal though. Food was ok, nothing special.
Overall, the food was good. Ordered an appetizer that never showed up. Rigatoni was a little chewy. Liked the ambiance of the restaurant though.
Celebrated our first anniversary at Tresca. They treated us to a dessert on them- delicious chocolate cake! Can’t go wrong with that!
Very great food and experience
Fun time and delicious food before a Bruins game. Everyone loved their meals and the cocktails were awesome.
Truly excellent service and cuisine
Restaurant was wonderful as I expected. Only had a situation when asking for a soda. The soda had a taste of soap to it. They got us a new one and still the same thing. Not sure if anyone else experienced that. Hopefully that was resolved
The Chicken Parm was excellent. Had a great meal at Tresca
Excellent food. Accommodating staff! Very good gluten free penne with fresh taste.
Nice comfy ambience and good Italian food and good service
Food choices were excellent. Definitely try the Nachos Bolognese! Excellent meatball appetizer and carpaccio as well. Pastas were filling and perfectly seasoned and pizza was chewy and cheesy. Loved the atmosphere as well.
Excellent food. Great service. Our waiter told us the veal chop was so tender you could eat it with a spoon. He was right! The chef came out to visit our table, which was nice, too. Highly recommend!
Noticed an item I loved was no longer on the menu— told the waitress and she went back to the kitchen who made me TWO ORDERS of it!! A great restaurant with a kitchen that truly care about their patrons!
We were in town for Boston University Parent's Weekend and were looking for another great find in the North End. This restaurant was outstanding. The service was great and food was terrific. The antipasto salad had a great variety of meats, cheeses, and vegetables. The veal parm was outstanding!! Would definitely go back the next time we are in Boston.
What a find! Our family of four enjoyed a great early dinner before a show. We all ordered something different. My daughter had a salad, son had seafood, my wife the carbonara and I ate the bolognese. Everybody shared; it was great. Look forward to next time.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and great food selection. Can’t expect anything more.
Amazing place, great food, highly recommend! Chef Richard is wonderful!
When in Boston, dining in the North End is a must. The menu and the fact that the 6:00 pm reservation offered 1,000 points were the deciding factors in selecting Tresca. The food was excellent. Arancini for an appetizer was very good. You can order the pasta dishes in full or half size portions which is nice. I had the lobster ravioli which was hot and very tasty. My friends had the bolognese, carbonara and pumpkin risotto and they all enjoyed their dishes as well. Drinks are pricey so expect to spend if you and your fellow diners have more than one drink. I would return to Tresca and recommend it to friends and family visiting Boston.
The food was great and the setting was comfortable. The staff was pleasant and very acomidating. Just a great experience.
First time dining at Tresca. I took my mother there for her to experience fine dining and the North End, for her first time. The food, servers and overall atmosphere were all top notch. The fireplace was a nice touch, made it even more comfortable. We enjoyed it all very much. Highly recommended..
Food was great. The kind if quality you might expect from an Italian restaurant in the North End.
Staff was outstanding. Very attentive. Great atmosphere.
My wife’s birthday. We really enjoyed the meal and service was great.
Ray Bourque Special is fantastic!
We went to Tresca for the very first time and were lucky enough to secure Table 77...what an incredible experience to b at this romantic table overlooking North End...the food was incredible ,atmosphere outside on table 77 is indescribable& incredibly romantic& the food was 5 star...I must also include that from the moment I walked in w my date, the staff and service were over the top...I highly recommendTresca unequivocally and without reservation but if u want to go I strongly urge you to make your reservation because the place gets packed

Food was outstanding. I had a meal off the menu that was exceptional. They accommodated my wife’s special diet request. Service was great. The server made some suggestions for my daughter that were spot on. There were 3 people taking care of us, so we didn’t want for anything. My meal was prepared perfectly and was one of the best veal dishes I ever ate. Highly recommend this restaurant for everyone.
Great restaurant in North End of Boston. Food was all delicious. My only complaint would be that the food came out so fast!
Went to Tresca before a concert at TD Garden. We were seated at a window table in a little alcove area across from the hostess station. Service was excellent. I really enjoyed the option of having a small or large pasta portion. Since we were headed to the concert, we couldn't take any leftovers. I had shrimp scampi, my husband and his friend had the Bolognese and his wife had the seafood fra diablo. Everyone loved their meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant when you're in the North End. We'll be back. :)
The staff was attentive and the food was outstanding. It’s our favorite place on Hanover St.
Food was outstanding!!!
Wife was so happy, as was I....
One of the best restaurants in a neighborhood of great restaurants. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. The grilled veal chop was out of this world.
Excellent food and service. The eggplant appetizer was excellent along with my shrimp scampi. My husband's veal parmesan was generous and delicious. Many pasta dishes are available in a smaller portion or regular portion. Highly recommend.
Tresca has a beautiful setting in Boston’s North End. The restaurant is large in comparison to other local dining options. The food was perfectly portioned and delicious. The gluten free pasta was perfectly cooked.
Enjoyed food faster
Consistently outstanding! We have enjoyed various dishes from appetizers to salads to main dishes. Authentic Italian with impeccable service every time. Owner/chef Richard Ansara is dedicated to diners satisfaction with every aspect of their dining experience and comes out to greet his guests as though he were welcoming them to his home. Finest ingredients and beautiful presentations!
