Tre Trattoria @ The San Antonio Museum of Art
Restaurant dining is by reservation only Tuesday-Sunday from 4-9 pm, beginning Thursday, May 21!
Inspired by the Tuscan Hillsides and the region’s family-style dining, Jason Dady’s Tre Trattoria at the San Antonio Museum of Art brings the flavors of Italy to Alamo City. Featuring breathtaking views of the San Antonio River, Tre Trattoria’s spacious patio offers shaded dining atop the Museum Reach of the Riverwalk. Inhabiting the Beretta Hops House, Tre Trattoria’s renovated interior space highlights the beauty of the historic building, featuring accents of wine vines and stag leaf ferns crawling across the rustic brick walls. Menu offerings include a variety of fresh Antipasti, Cast-Iron Pizzas, House-Made Pasta (Gluten-Free upon request) and Chef’s Seasonal Selections.
Great food and atmosphere. The waiter , Giovanni was fabulous and made the experience even better with his recommendations.
Dinner was great. Only comment is that I had indicated on the reservation that it was my birthday, but did not receive so much as a 'happy birthday' from our server.
All was great but be advised you are limited to one hour . We were asked to leave after one hour of dining . Do eat and drink fast .
If you want a view of the San Antonio River and visit San Antonio Museum of Art this is the place. Great food, great service. Become a member and get 10% off. It's great if you're a member of San Antonio Museum of Art
After a museum visit, we had a delightful dinner on the balcony. We felt very safe--all staff were masked and the tables were distanced. We told our server that we planned a leisurely evening and he was very accommodating. He checked on us regularly refilling drinks, etc. but never rushed us. It was the perfect evening out. The food was fabulous!
Great setting, wonderful food. Will go back for sure!
Amazing food, view and service. pulled mozzarella appetizer is amazing as are all of their entrees. Excellent Cocktails and beautiful setting.
We are so glad Tre is back open for real dining! The food can be great in carry-out, but the setting on the river, the superb waitstaff, and a great wine and cocktail list just don't fit into the trunk of my car.
Tre, we've missed you!
Like the location, very unique and charming. Great ambience. Food was mediocre both times I went and way overpriced. Service was outstanding
The waiter was amazing
Wonderful meal, awesome waiter...great time as always!
Fantasitc food! The pasta was fresh and ate way to much.
Sat outside and it was nice right on the river.
Wonderful food and beautiful view! We truly enjoyed our evening!
Pasta was amazing! So was the mozarella. Everything was great
Nice new venue as restaurant moved from Broadway near the Witte museum to now adjacent to SA Museum of Art on the river. You may need to keep your eyes peeled to find the restaurant if you are not used to this area. Pastas are delicious and flavorful.
This is a wonderfully quaint restaurant and the food is simply amazing. Excellent ingredients executed to perfection. My favorite spot so far in San Antonio.
Gave us the worst table in the restaurant unless you were hoping for easy access to restroom notwithstanding I made reservations three days earlier.
Service was fabulous.
The fresh-pulled mozzarella appetizer is my favorite treat. Tried a new item on menu, tenderloin ragu. Amazing.
Nice - but slow. Very cool ambiance. A little hard to find.
What a beautiful setting! The Bolognese and ceasar salad were unparalleled!
Great view on the quiet part of the river walk. Food is excellent, surpassed only by the service of the people that work there.
Left smelling like food
We ate outside on the deck which is why it was quiet. Nice day for it though and nice view. Had a starter of Burrata which was recommended and delicious. One of us had the gnocchi and the other the boar pasta. Both were delicious. Enjoyed our meal there very much.
Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife, lovely evening, service was great, spectacular ambiance. Will definitely be back soon
It was Valetines Day
Excellent! Well come again!
Laid back vibe, not fussy. Great music, food was more than amazing and the staff was very friendly.
Great meal, service was outstanding. Highly recommend!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Thank you!
Too cold inside, kept the door open...pasta too salty, pizza crust too crunchy...best part was the butternut squash bisque, the bread/oil and the Cesar salad...that fancy of a place and the best was the appetizers? For that price??? Won’t be going back any time soon.
Very difficult to find/enter. Only six other tables with guests, multiple servers, but our server was absent pretty much our entire stay. Didn't know a number of things, including charging each of us for a full salad instead of the addition to the selected entrees per the menu. My glass was empty of drink most of our stay. Overall an incredibly wanting service experience on many levels. Food itself was solid, but unspectacular. I'd go somewhere else.
Tattoria is very well done.
Excellent food quality, on par with NYC! Great service. Reasonable pricing.
Even reminded me of a place there, with the setting and ambiance.
Added pluses include museum setting and overlooking a peaceful part of the riverwalk away for the tourist throng, for outdoor dining if desired.
We will be back!
We had a great lunch at Tre on Saturday. We were looking forward to sitting outside along the river but it was too misty and cold. So we sat inside for the first time and the space was really nice. We had great service from Devin. The bolognese is some of the best I have had. The crispy skin trout can't be beaten either. Salads, desserts, everything just perfect. Thanks Jason Dady!
Some problems with the service… I feel that we should have been warned about the level of space in the food, particularly as we asked very specifically— So two of the three of us could not finish our meal because of the excessive heat in the dish… I have eaten there many times and been giving good advice before, but please listen to your customers!
Beautiful location, quaint old building, great food, good service.
Fantastic restaurant! The food was phenomenal, the ambiance was lovely, and I would absolutely come back. The menu small and beautifully crafted. The service was great and our server knowledgeable. Surprisingly affordable considering the location and quality of food.
Lovely dining on the outdoor deck overlooking the San Antonio River!
Was a great experience, food was awesome!!!!
Restaurant Week dinner and had the crispy trout and friend had the bolognese, both amazing. Our waiter was so accommodating to ask the chef to prepare an alternate chocolate dessert when he let us know they were out of the Nutella x3.
