This was my second visit because I wanted to try the pulled mozzarella. It was tasty and I could have used more bread, but I like Italian sodas. I would go back, sitting outside watching people walk their dogs is nice.
Great experience: service, food & ambiance were delightful
I have been to Tre many, many times. Very lovely place in a great location.
Friday it was not crowded, but after 45 minutes, no food. We were told it would be right out. Same thing 5 and 10 minutes later. An apology and some free deviled eggs, which were overloaded with mayonnaise.
Our food finally arrived one hour and ten minutes after arrival (we had no cocktails). One of the three entrees was reportedly very good. Second one no comment. Mine, which I always order (white beans with gremolata and an artichoke) were heavy and felt left over from the previous day.
Very disappointing to me to take my out of town business guests there. I'll go back, but not soon.
We are huge fans of Tre! The food never disappoints, the service is attentive but not bothersome.
The only reason I didn't give a five star for ambience is because I wish there were more people there! Even with spacing, there were some empty tables on a Sunday night. On a recent lunch visit, I was at one of just three tables.
Their food is too amazing to not be full (as full as is safe these days).
We dream of their burrata appetizer. The other night I had their gnocchi, my go-to. I liked that they'd changed it up - flavors were different and still amazing. The rest of our foursome had bolognese - always solid.
Some of our favorites - always that burrata of my dreams, cannellini beans, farro salad, their market salad, never had a pasta or pizza there I haven't liked. You can't go wrong.
We had a great Sunday Lunch here. Our first time and it was exceptional.
Delicious and great bloody Mary’s too,
It was a beautiful day on the river, highly recommend.
Crawfish special was FAB!
This place is fantastic whether you are dining in a small group or as part of a family outing. The food and service were exceptional. Definitely coming back!
They went above and beyond to accommodate us for my friend’s bachelorette dinner with giving us phenomenal table overlooking the kitchen, where Jason Dady, himself, was cooking! The food was on point and masterfully plated. Will have to visit again when it’s warm to sit outside overlooking the river.
I will definitely keep going back until I’ve tried the whole menu!
We went on a day date to celebrate Valentine’s Day. February 2021. I was cold so we could not dine outside but this would be a great place to go in the spring or summer and overlook the quieter side of the river walk. Food is fresh and delicious. Imported coffee also delicious. Next we went to the museum. A lovely day. Highly recommend.
Great menu selections. Burratta with blood orange was exceptional.
I enjoy that the food is consistently goof and prepared the same as when we first went . The waiting staff is very informative and polite . Food comes on time and server has perfect timing with water or for drinks . The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The wine selection is nicely priced and very good selection.
Polite, accommodating service.
Having dined many times at the Broadway location, I found the prices higher for what is served.
For the price, it would have been nice to have a small side serving with the rainbow trout. Being that it is a more casual dining atmosphere.
The mozzarella appetizer was one of the best things I’ve ever had!
A beautiful restaurant along the river walk at San Antonio Museum of Art. Everything was very good. My trout had a little too much oil on it but everything else was top notch. The fish was also very tasty! I ate it all. 🙂
Service was amazing and food was delicious.
Patio is place to sit-great
Indoors has poor ventilation Amd a little sad
Food is consistently good
Service is pleasant & timely
Tre Trattoria was a very pleasant experience on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We had visited the SA Museum of Art and the restaurant is next door on the grounds but also on the San Antonio river. It is about a mile from the River Walk but a world away in park-like ambience.
The service was just about perfect; prompt, upbeat, professional. The Italian menu offered anti-pastas, soup, salads main courses and pizza. We chose pasta and it didn’t disappoint: a gnocchi with fresh spinach and lardons and a radiatore with hazlenuts and a Gorgonzola cream sauce—decadent. We enjoyed a glass of Chianti and a Pinot Grigio. I would have liked to have seen a larger selection of Italian whites, but picky picky, the restaurant is doing a very nice job.
This was my first time at Tre Trattoria. It was decided to go there to celebrate my birthday with a close group of friends because of their outdoor dinning and reasonable price point. The ambiance of the patio was fantastic. This place delighted our senses. The music brought us back to childhood, driving around with our parents listening to KONO 101.1. The smells coming from the kitchen made our palates tingle. The views of the riverwalk enchanted our eyes. And then came the food! After browsing the menu, we couldn’t decide what to order because EVERYTHING sounded like it would taste amazing. We first order wine and cocktails, which were all reasonably priced, and an appetizer of Burrata Di Bufala. O.M.G. it was delicious!!! Sweet, savory, nutty, and tangy all in one. Next up were the entrees. As a group we decided to order family style. It was honestly the best choice and I would highly recommend doing it. Each of us chose one item from the menu different from the next person and requested extra plates. One person ordered the Smoked Gouda White Truffle Radiatore, the next ordered the Goat Cheese Cast Iron Pizza, after that was the Campanelle Bolognese, followed by the Pan Seared Gnocchi with Spinach Pesto Alfredo. There was not one thing that we ordered that someone was unhappy with, but a couple stood out. The Bolognese was the best I’ve ever had in my entire life and the Gnocchi melted in your mouth like butter (pronounced Butt-uh). The restaurant also offers a free dessert for birthdays, so we chose the Panna Cotta. It was so good and if you focused your taste buds enough, you get a hint of fruity pebbles. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its views, ambiance, service, and especially the FOOD!!
Make it a point to sit outside if you can. Absolutely delicious pasta dishes.
I had a wonderful dinner with friends on the patio.
Great food, service (we had Chris), and ambiance! Will be back ASAP.
The fluorescent lights are awful, turn them off.
River, our server, was awesome. The bisque of the night was phenomenal and of course the main courses were perfect!
The food is delicious! A must try! Great for dates!
The previous iteration of the gnocchi was much better. I love pancetta but next time I will ask that the dates be left out. The portion size was huge - definitely got my money's worth!
I did not enjoy Tre at all. I celebrated my birthday there, but besides being On the riverwalk - there were no real outstanding perks that I could think of. The food was okay. Actually I did like one thing, the mozzarella and bread appetizer. Other than that, it was just okay but definitely overpriced. It took a long time for us to get our food. It was okay, but I’ll never dine there again.
The food was absolutely amazing, we started with the farro salad and ended with the lemon ricotta cake. We sat outside next to a heater and the ambience was just perfect. We will definitely be going back!
Wonderful meal and dining experience at Tre Trattoria. Service, food, outdoor dining on the Riverwalk is hard to beat. The Italian deviled eggs are to die for! Highly recommend - take time to visit the San Antonio Museum of Art if you have time - it basically right next to the restaurant.
The service was excellent, never made to feel rushed. Very attentive staff. Food was amazing. Ambiance was relaxed, sat outside over looking beautiful river walk. Definitely making this a regular spot.
Just a good way to celebrate a good Sunday afternoon.
We visit San Antonio frequently, and this is our favorite spot. Never disappoints.
We went for culinaria week and as usual the food and service was excellent
Chris (our server) was exceptional! Turned on the gas heater, brought a high chair, knowledgeable and friendly. Food was too notch as always, and atmosphere relaxing and wonderful! Thank you for maintaining the high bar set for a dining experience! Bravo
A perfect place for outdoor dining along San Antonio's Riverwalk. The meal was both delicious and bountiful. Every one at the table enjoyed their meal. The setting is charming. A must go to in San Antonio.
Exceptional service and delicious food
The BURRATA DI BUFALA was incredible as well as HERB-ROASTED HALF CHICKEN. Service was wonderful as well.
The restaurant week menu was delicious and the best value in San Antonio.
Delicious food, wonderful staff, lovely atmosphere.
Tre Tratoria is a favorite. The Riverwalk views are stellar, afternoon and evening. The January Restaurant Week selections were delicious and the portions generous. The server forgot to deliver on a few requests, but our experience was still top notch!
