We came to Tre on a recommendation from my uncle who frequents NYC and it did not disappoint!! The ambiance is so nice, food was great and the service was amazing! Gino, the owner, took great care of us!!
Went for the bottomless brunch, and it’s rare to get great food, generous/constant pours, and a good deal! Loved it here.
Great atmosphere sat in front with front door open. It was a great ambiance. Food was good but nothing memorable
Our fav place for the last 10 years! Consistently great food and yummy mimosas!
Delicious, fresh and authentic!
Great! Quality service
The food is absolutely fabulous and authentic. Best Italian food in NYC.
So loud could not speak. Not enough waiters. Tiny and cramped. Food okay. To be fair, even if food were
Number 1, the other above factors would cancel out.
A quite little place on the Lower East side. Great Italian food. I had linguini with pesto and grilled shrimp which was excellent. The pesto was perfect.
Great selection of main dishes. Tasty too would return
Food was amazing and drinks were never empty! Such a cute place and would go again in a heartbeat!
Food very salty, understaffed, bad acoustics, glass of Chardonnay $15
Had friends visiting from out of town, they loved the food. Excellent Pasta. A great gem in the Lower East SIde. It's one of my go-to restaurants in this area of the city.
If you are looking for that small tucked away NY restaurant with great Italian food, this is not it.
A bit louder than we thought it would be. Small, railroad style dining room with brick walls definitely has noise reverberating back and forth from all parts of the restaurant. Calamari was okay, pasta dishes were good but nothing spectacular. One thing to note which they don’t seem to disclose up front is that the menu prices reflect a 3.99% cash discount, meaning that if you pay with a card, they are charging you nearly 4% more on your check. They had this surcharge on the check even before we could pay them with cash. They took it off the check when we said we were paying cash, but it just seems sneaky to have menu prices listing the cash price, then bring out a check with assumption people are paying with card and adding the surcharge. Overall good, but not likely we head back soon.
Food was good but a little salty
Food and ambiance was great, service could be better
Best spaghetti carbonara I’ve ever tasted.
the food wasn't really that good. I had the chicken milanese (?) and it was so tough I just gave up trying to cut it after a certain point because it was exhausting. it's a good date spot because the people are nice and the ambiance is good.
The food is great and the staff is amazing! It is my go-to Italian brunch spot.
Superb, authentic southern Italian food in a small place on energetic Ludlow Street. Mediterranean salad, gnocchi, warm chocolate torte, and limoncello were all to die for.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants, food is always exceptional, service great, and a gem of a place on the Lower East Side.
Most of our meals were excellent. The homemade fettuccini was really tasty as was the meatballs. The smoked fusilli dish with substitute mozzarella was loved by my son and the salmon was very good, but the sides of cauliflower and gnocchi were flooded with butter. Overall high marks but very tough to move around and table behind us was too close so it made it a bit uncomfortable. I would definitely go back if in the area.
Our waiter was very nice, and helpful, and efficient, and overall the staff was welcoming. The place is cozy. The food was pretty good, but the chef that night was a little heavy on the salt. One of us had an al forno dish and the other a pasta and greens dish, and they were both salty, which hid a lot of the other flavors in the food.
I will go back there again.
Came here for dinner with old friends for a long overdue catch up. As always, great good, attentive service, and one of the few real “values” left in the area.
Amazing food, great service. Will definitely be returning
Great experience and service
I've been coming to The for years it's my favorite hidden gem. I recommend it to everyone who wants authentic Italian.
Incredible food, ambiance and service!
Good but pasta was a bit too salty for my liking
The food and the atmosphere of Tre are incredible. Perfect for a romantic date!
I loved the arancini and wine
Great all around, except I thought the wine prices were rather steep! The least expensive, for a glass that was only partially filled, was $14. Yikes!!
My mom and I went for a pre-birthday dinner before she left the city. We looked for a neighborhood spot that was quaint, well reviewed and Italian 🍝 (my fave). Tre had great ratings, but the pictures we saw online were iffy. I was delighted when we walked in. I love the ambiance... from the lighting to the music. I took a pic to represent the vibe better than what I’d previously seen. Food is delicious, as well as the wine selection! If you’re not a wine drinker, they have a full bar as well. Overall, great spot. I recommend going with 4 or less people — Aka date night, a special occasion or catching up with a small group of friends.
One of my favorite spots in NYC!
Francisco was wonderful he and another waited manned 2 large groups and the bar with no sweat!
Cosy space and a good menu. Service was lacking, especially since there were 3 waiters and 3 tables occupied. Good starters but the pasta was mediocre.
The food was great and reasonably priced. Staff was super nice/ attentive. I would go back.
Wanted to love this tiny place. Altho the service was good the wait staff seemed uninterested and detached. The spaghetti pomodoro was very salty as others have mentioned, and the pasta tough. Sauce was the best part. Would not go again.
The appetizers were okay, not bad. The pasta was absolutely terrible. And this is an italian place! I really wanted to like it, because the atmosphere was great and the service pretty good. But the fresh pasta was undercooked (seriously don't know how you do that) and the sauce on both of our pastas was awful - too sweet and weird texture. Would never recommend this place to anyone unless you were just going for drinks and some basic apps.
