This has become our favorite restaurant! Great service and consistently good food! A very welcoming place! Chicken Marsala and Veal Marcella and Scollops were our menu choices and each was excellent! Stuffed mushrooms special appetizer was outstanding!
Nice gluten free options. Husband got swordfish which was excellent. I got a special which was similar to chicken cordon blue with ham and mozzarella inside the chicken and marsala sauce and mushrooms with mashed potatoes; the chicken was a bit dry perhaps due to prep so would not order this dish again but I have had the regular chicken marsala gluten free several times here and it's always very good. Waiter was excellent, very attentive, friendly, and smart..
Very enjoyable night, food and service were excellent.
Excellent food and ambiance. Service is outstanding.
The food was delicious and can't wait to go back.
TTrattoria Romana is a beautiful restaurant with great food. The pasta fagioli and the baked onion soup were fantastic as were the wedge salad and the Caesar Salad with anchovies. Three of the four in our group really enjoyed the Veal Parm - a huge tender portion and perfectly cooked rigatoni with a tasty red sauce ( slightly watery this time) Unfortunately, my special request for pollo carciofi was good but not the same as the previous two times I had ordered this dish. The chicken seemed to be in several small pieces and the artichokes and black olives were minimal. Overall, everything was fine, just not quite the caliber to which the I was accustomed.
This restaurant never disappoints. The food is always great and a large septic good meals. Service was top shelf as usual.
It was my wife's birthday and our waitress Sarah appeared to be inconvenienced by every inquiry we made. I had inquired over the phone about a small cake for my wife's birthday and was told they could do that and that it wasn't a problem. When I asked Sarah about it she looked at me like I had six heads. We were a party of seven and as a result no one got coffee or dessert or after dinner drinks. She ruined our experience and should find another line of work that doesn't require interacting with the public. Neither Scott or Pauline were there and it had a negative impact on the experience. Six of us had dinner at Siena East Greenwich the night before and the food, service and birthday cake were all amazing. Excellent staff.
Was seated in the bar area which was very dark and bartender was our waiter. Therefore, was nit as attentive.
This restaurant used to be really good. Went last night with family to celebrate my wife's birthday and was not satisfied at all. First the the food was definitely not up to par with what it used to be. I had the rigatoni al forno and the macaroni was hard as a rock, the cheese was barely melted on the food and the meatballs and sausage were luke warm. Then they had a problem with there soda gun so if you wanted soda you had to get a 1ltr bottle instead of getting a glass of soda. Also when the bill came the prices did not match up to what there online menu said. Everything was 2 to 4 dollars more then they have advertised on there dinner menu. If this is the way this restaurant is going I will definately not be coming back. Its a shame because it used to be a great restaurant. Not what I would expect from the owner and his restaurants.
New favorite restaurant !
We have eaten at the Lincoln restaurant several times and love it. Here we ordered an appetizer, soup, and a salad that all arrived at the same time. There was barely room on the table for it all. Then we waited a good twenty minutes for the food. My husband’s chicken Parmesan was very good but I had scrod that had no flavor. I think it was frozen. Needless to say we are not going back to that particular restaurant. The manager was very pleasant .
Another wonderful experience. Always attentive service and excellent food. We enjoyed the crusty bread and the lemony veal and chicken francese. In and out in reasonable time.
Great food and service as always at any Trattoria restaurant
The food was ok but one person in our party received the wrong dinner and had to eat alone. The waitress not that good.
Great food every time; service great. The only disappointment was that they do not reveal their new increased prices on their website!!!
the service was awesome... food always.... everything is always great !!
The food was delicious as usual and the server, Owen was great. I reserved a spot for outside dining, but we were seated inside, which was not a problem. My wife and I cannot wait to return!
Very good overall, but too loud and parking is not convenient for the handicapped
First time in Johnston.
Food is ex. Service is ex. The server we had was beyond ex.just a very friendly place with ex. Food and service
great spot - excellent service, food. nice atmosphere
Following a day of golf our foursome met our wives at Trattoria Romana in Johnston for dinner. Service was prompt, accurate and friendly. Our appetizers, entrees and refreshments were excellent. Dining area is a little smaller than other locations but it wasn’t busy on Thursday evening. Overall, a very pleasurable experience.
We have dined there a numerous occasions, this trip was better than ever. The server, Jennifer was fabulous witch equaled the apps and the meals. This was definitely a TWO THUMBS UP EVENING.
We had a reservation for 6:30 and were not seating until after 7. We were told to wait outside or at the bar. The bar was full and tables outside, so would have to wait in parking lot. The service was not great. Not our usual visit their, we were a bit disappointed. Food was excellent.
We definitely enjoy Trattoria Romana in Johnston. Excellent food and service (Michael from Lincoln's Trattoria was superb!) Patio really helps during this Pandemic and we are taking advantage of it before the cold sets in. Veal Parm and chicken Carciofi are our favorites - there is nothing not to like about this fantastic dining venue.
The only complaint that I have is this is the second time I’ve went with a reservation and had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. What’s the point of making a reservation? Also the server was very nice but she did forget a couple things but it was busy so I’m not that upset about it.
The food is delicious and plentiful and this Restaurant never disappoints.
Birthday for a friend
Just really expensive!
Great evening out! We were the only ones on the lovely patio! Food was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service and food
We had to wait a bit for a table even with reservations because they were short handed so they provided our first round of drinks for free which was nice of them.
Food is always fabulous, however our server, Julia, was absolutely incredible!!
Trattoria Romano in Johnston RI is fabulous. The services was exceptional, as was the food and drinks. Very comfortable place to be.
simple, short and sweet. good food, good service, goiod compasny, was my wifes birthday, she could go anywhere but wanted TR. always has been our favorite either johnston, lincoln or plainville.
We enjoyed our lunch. We had the blackened salmon salad before but they have removed it from the menu. However they did make it for us.It was delicious.
Shrimp Special, Veal Marsala and Pesto Pasta with Chicken all Excellent.
Wine Excellent, not much in the glass though.
Service good instead of excellent only because you like everyone else is short staffed.
Waitress was excellent.
Once again, Trattoria Romana in Johnston made us smile and enjoy our meal throughout our dining experience. Josh, manager for the evening, along with Samantha, the manager of the restaurant as well as our server Julia, were there as a group to be sure we had everything we wanted throughout the evening. As always, the Caesar salad was tremendous. Regarding entrees, the Chicken Carciofi, chicken breast, artichoke hearts, & black olives sautéed with fresh garlic, lemon juice & sherry wine and finished with a touch of cream and a rich demi glaze, was served over capellini pasta, but I chose rigatoni and loved it. It was FABULOUS! The veal parmigiana were definitely perfect. No doubt, it was a great evening.
The food is always excellent here. Our servers, Julia and Samantha did an awesome job. Food came out of the kitchen steaming hot. All eight of us loved our meals.
