Trattoria Lisina Ratings and Reviews
Not my first visit and certainly not my last. From the appetizer (artichoke fritters) to desert (shared donuts) every bite was amazing. Lovely adult friendly environment, good for sipping wine over a long conversation and a relaxing dinner followed by a walk under the stars. Perfect.
We've been coming here for years. We love it. Since we know how fabulous it can be, they need to up their game on a few of their entrees, it's slipped a little bit, but it's still very good usually (and if they read this, I'll bet they will, because they really care about their presentation and the quality of the meals). Service fabulous, ambience fantastic, a wine country gem in the middle of the hill country, could be in Napa if you were dropped in without knowing you where you were. Beautiful setting. Nice well thought out wine list and well valued. Worth the drive.
Excellent food in a very nice environment. The menu is diverse, classic Italian, from antipasto thru tiramisu. Wait staff is professional and attentive, with emphasis on customer satisfaction. Food preparation and wait time were good, it was a great nite to celebrate a birthday.
Our waiter was attentive and had a grasp of the wines beyond my expectations. The grounds and restaurant are wonderful, so suggest you arrive earlier than your reservation and stroll around a bit and have some wine at the tasting room. One caveat, OpenTable's price info indicates a per person average cost of up to $50 per person, but our tab was well over $50, given the ala cart menu. For our table of 6, not all had wine, not all had an appetizer, not all had a salad, and none had dessert, yet the bill was closer to $60 per person.
Great Italian dishes and fish dishes. My Osso Bucco was superb and this was my 3rd time ordering it. The grandkids had a personal pizza and spaghetti with a large meatball. They lived their meals.
We were gathered for Thanksgiving weekend and we all loved our meals.
There’s a playground outside for the kids and nice sitting areas for adults to watch the sunset
Great service and such a beautiful setting-like a visit to Italy.
Great Italian / American food served in the ITALIAN STYLE. We only live 5 miles away but save this place for special occasions. Excellent wine list with some local wines included. Enough food that we always take some home and make another meal out of it. We have eaten here 10 times in the past 5 years, with family, friends and just us, and have never been remotely disappointed.
We have visited this place a few times, not enough! Great experience every time from the wait staff to the wine and food. The restaurant is located next to a winery and they have a nice playscape for kids. We’ve had Christmas parties here and our friends got together for a wine tasting then dinner at the restaurant one night. Private dining for parties as well. Beautiful ambiance, indoor fireplace for a cold night out, great food and a remarkable wine selection with a gentleman that knows everything about wine to help you make your selection. Our favorites are the Caesar salad, pizzas, lasagna, chicken Alfredo with home made pasta! and their bread w/ olive oil/seasonings on the house.
Very relaxed atmosphere and our waiter was very helpful in describing the various menu items. Various salads were ordered by our 8 guests and they were all deliciously seasoned and farm fresh. Our waiter timed the delivery of our selections perfectly, the meat balls were outstanding. We will be back.
Thank goodness for reservations! We were welcomed warmly, sat immediately, and were told service would be delayed but they're try their best to get to us promptly. They didn't lie. We didn't even think service was delayed! Our server was VERY knowledgable and gave great recommendations. Our meal was authentic and very tasty. Portions were enough and didn't leave us feeling engorged. The atmosphere made us feel like we made a trip to Tuscany. Absolutely awesome. Can't wait to go back!
This is about the 6-7th time we have been here - twice for Christmas Dinners, once for a Birthday Celebration, once for an Anniversary and once or twice for just a special treat. Every time has been wonderful - the food, the ambiance, the wine and the service. We not only love it ourselves, but recommend it to friends or even take friends with us. It is also a plus that it is easy to book reservations online and well ahead of the date/time of our visit (which I recommend because it is a very popular restaurant). A friend that is a foodie and eats at restaurants often said on this visit, "the lamb chops are the best I've ever eaten!".
