Pricey, but excellent food and a great vibe. Would recommend for a night out.
For an Italian restaurant in the Little Italy district I had high expectations. The service was fine. We sat outside which was nice for people watching. The food was a major let down. “Is the gnocchi made fresh in house?” Yes! Guess what? Nope. Tasted bland and exactly like packaged that you can buy anywhere. Caprese salad was fine. Overpriced for the portion size. Chicken parm was flavorless. I wouldn’t go back. Too many choices that likely would be much better than this place.
The food was excellent! Our server didn’t show up very often but our food was brought in a timely fashion
I felt that the service was good but rushed. It wouldn’t deter me from going back.
The noise level downstairs was loud. Had trouble hearing the people at my own table.
It took us 30 minutes to get a table despite having a reservation. The waitstaff were incredibly rude and we were seated by trash in the basement. The waiter spilled coke while pouring for us and then proceeded to throw a straw on the table and storm off. The volume in the basement level was excruciatingly loud and unpleasant. This was all topped off with another member of the staff breaking a glass off their stocking shelf at the end of our table, not cleaning it up, and asking us to ‘be careful’ as we tried to skirt around it. Would not spend a dollar here, nor at the restaurant group it belongs to. Mediocrity was the name of the game when it came to the food, which did not compensate for the numerous other faults in anyway.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT COME HERE! Completely tourist trap- waited 30 min past reservation because only outdoor tables were available which the hostess thought was acceptable even though it was raining out. Once we were seated, our server rushed us to order and our food came out faster than McDonald’s. Server never came by to check on us and couldn’t deliver a simple request to add chicken to a pasta dish. Horrible experience and biggest waste of money. Extremely disappointing to say the least.
Wonderful Italian food. Loved our waiter. best to sit upstairs rather than downstairs.
Best italian food!
Love how the food is served fresh in pans. The food was very good. The drinks were a little more expensive than they needed to be. My really only negative is there was a bathroom smell in the main dining area that wafted to the table. Likely becuase there was one small bathroom right at the kitchen area by the tables. I’d go again but sit outside or the other side.
Food and service was good - but the place was like a sauna. Be nice if the management could set up a few fans so customers don't sweat in their pasta. Other than that, it was great.
Our meal was outstanding as always! My absolute favorite!
The food was exceptional. The calamari appetizer was enormous and scrumptious. Our party had three different main courses and the were all delicious. The service was terrific.
The food was very good. However, we were put in the basement. This could be a cozy place with stone walls and wine on the walls, but there are two large tv screens on either side of the room. I can't imagine why they are there. If they weren't it would be a totally romantic and cozy space.
Food and service mediocre
The veal was a huge hit with our table in addition to the mussels, lasagna and chicken parm. Wine selection was fantastic and the service was excellent.
Food was amazing as always. Best place in the north end!
Service was so so, but was a Saturday night. Meals were awful. I note they come out on a nice hot clean skillet, but the food was prepared several hours, maybe even days earlier. Third time there since May, and it has gone down since each time. No desserts on Friday/Saturday nights as they "are too busy with food orders". Waitress was pleasant.
Just a wonderful evening!
Food was good, service was not so good. My card was charged more than the receipt and we never got our leftovers in a box.
Everything was great! Excellent service, exceptional food.
Wonderful food great outdoor dining and superb service!!!!
Incredible food with super nice people.
Thanks excellent meal
Amazing food and prompt and nice service
Very busy. Waiter was not paying attention to our table at all. Food is usually amazing, I am a loyal customer, but the cacio e pepe tasted like butter noodles.
Noted on the reservation this was a special occasion ... not one mention or asked what the occasion was . We were seated promptly and waited for 10 minutes for a menu. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter presented the wrong bottle and tried to argue my selection. Oddly he was very attentive of the table of 12 in our section and completely ignored us for the rest of the evening
I dine out all the time, from Federal Hill to the North end. I’ve never had a worse server in my life. This girl was so bad I’m shocked they didn’t send her home. Vicky, was the unfriendliest, unsocial waitress ever. You could tell she was knowledgeable and wasn’t a new waitress but, she had other issues going on. Her & a bald guy from the back seemed to be having a disagreement right in front of the bar near us. I don’t know if the guy was the manager or it’s her boyfriend. I asked for ice in my water because it was almost lukewarm, They come over and just drop bread on the table, don’t bring a little dish with oil, salt pepper crushed red pepper Parmesan cheese . I asked for it when she came by and she looked at me raising her eyebrow and pointed to the table and said “it’s right there.” There was a tiny bottle on the table, she said some people don’t like all that. But a server should ask. Not 1 attempt of any conversation from her, like good servers. “How are you guys, having a nice weekend, first time here?” Nothing. When she asked what entrees we wanted, I said, she’ll have another drink, I’ll have another glass of water with ice, 2nd time I asked. I end up going to the bar myself, she’s right there and says, “just ice?” I never spoke again to her. I’m the biggest tipper but not for that. It’s not all about the food. I’ll eat somewhere the foods and 8 w/top service, than food rated a 20 with horrible waitress any day. 10% was too much for her. Really annoyed me, I’m calling the owner. Other places much better. I’ll never go back!
Out of this world good!
Food was ok. Chicken parm was soggy. Carbonara was very good. Diet Coke came in a can. Bread and oil were the best part. Had reservations and stuck us in the dingy part of the dining area.
The food was incredible. But the place was a zoo. Our party of 2 was seated in the walkway of all the customers and staff, we had to keep our drinks in the center of our table so they wouldn't get knocked over by someone walking past. In addition, they also seated us in between two parties of 10+ people. Not an intimate date night that's for sure. Would still go again, because the food was awesome.
There are a million places in the NorthEnd but Trattoria il Panino is one of the best. Get the zucchini flowers and meatballs. And for the main get pacchori Ragu. Thank me later.
Ill Panino is 🔥
Fantastic service! Serving staff was quick and efficient. Unfortunately, the food was very generic. Nothing special about this food, especially compared to other options in the North End. Similar to what you would get at a chain Italian restaurant.
10/10 great atmosphere and top notch food 🤌🏽
The place needs to be cleaned… everything we touched in our table was oily or dirty, including silverware and glasses!
This is my favorite italian restaurant
excellent food and service as always. an absolute staple of the north end. wine list is always great
food was cold when received
Food was amazing! Busy environment around us, but the food was the highlight of the night
