The modern design and open format lends itself to comfortable luxury while enjoying a satisfyingly savory menu and memorable cocktails.
We were celebrating valentine weekend and stayed at the Embassy Suites. We enjoyed the manager reception on premises and decided to stay for dinner. However, our server disappeared after giving us a menu so all we had were leftover snacks from the reception. We ended up going back to our room and reheating leftovers.
Also, the menu listed on this app is not accurate. The food is about 20-30 percent more expensive than prices listed and not all menu items are available.
Menu has something for everyone,
Disappointing to say the least. We had a reservation for 7. We were seated at 7. At 7:15, a waiter asked if we’d been helped. We had not. He took our drink and food order because we were ready. At 7:45, we asked him to check in our food order to see what the status was. He did. He says we were the third ticket and that it would be 10 minutes yet. At 8:00, I paid the hostess for my glass of wine and we left. My daughter is an ND student and she said the students know it’s not good here. I was optimistic that it would be good! Nope. The students are right. We wasted an hour for no dinner. I’ll not be back, and I’ll caution everyone else - do not come here. Most disappointing hour of the year.
Server was very pleasant but overwhelmed. It took about an hour for our food to be served, which consisted of 3 salads, a sandwich, and a bowl of tater-tots. The food was poorly plated... both orders of broccolini were each in a small ill- fitting bowl...which visually was not appealing as the vegetable was hanging out over the edges, and which made it difficult to access. The couscous salad was in a very small, compact cereal bowl and had no oil or acid for a dressing... unfortunately it was also topped with a very brown, old avocado. Needless to say, I doubt that anyone in our party will ever return. We were extremely disappointed.
Very easy to eat here especially if you are staying in the hotel.
There was an event with a lot of kids took over the dining room making a unique spectacle/ ambiance... not ideal but everyone from management to hostess got involved and kept an eye on us. Amazing staff and service. Food was above average and accommodated every request.
Good service, good food, drinks on pricey side. You
My pork was very dry, the service was horrible. There were very few people in the restaurant, and it was an hour before for my food was served. I asked for a to-go box and that took about 20 minutes. Remind you it was only one table of people there. I give the waiter my credit card when he finally delivered my contain. I waited for about 10minutes for him to bring back my credit card before I decided to look for him. I would not recommend this restaurant
We enjoyed our dining experience at Traditions restaurant.
Although, we got our entree before our appetizer because it was forgotten, the restaurant offered us a free dessert for their mistake.
Good customer relations. We will go back again.
When we walked in with a reservation a waiter said "sit there". Only about two or three tables were filled. Our waiter TJ was not very attentive and not enough room here to tell all. Appetizers were excellent but it went down hill after that. Out of seven orders only one person finished there order, (chicken and waffles), two spaghetti and meat balls were not finished, a five cheese grilled sandwich was not finished, tacos not eaten, hamburger and can't remember the last one except to say they did not finish. Back to TJ, I saw him milling around the bar area looking at his phone talking to other wait persons. He walked past our table many times without asking if we needed anything. Did not ask if anyone needed ketchup. And finally, service was slow based on the observation of very few people in eating at this time. Don't think I will go back unless someone else is buying. use the review or not but it was I thought
It was only a burger--but it was a very very good burger.
The restaurant was nice. Service was okay, I believe because it was busy that service wasn't as good as it should have been. My burger was burnt the first time, the second time it was barely done, sent it back for the third time and it was perfect. I would give this restaurant another chance.
Service was great on game day! Food was delicious. Get the giant pretzel! I think we ate 5 of them over the weekend😜
The Buffalo Chicken wrap is good and filling. Usually the Tator Tots are really good, but the tasted this time like old oil was used to fry them.
One of the worst dining experiences we have had in a long time. We had a reservation for dinner at 7:15. We were not seated until 7:30. There were 4 of us and they only had 2 menus. We never received additional menus and never received a drink menu. It took another 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. Once our drink and dinner order was taken, it was over an hour before our meal arrived at our table. Our order was simple...two entree salads with chicken, one bowl of soup and an order of chicken with waffles. During that time, our server never came back to our table to refill our water, ask if we wanted another drink, or to apologize or explain the delay. He was nowhere in sight. Other tables surrounding us were also looking for him to either inquire about their food order or pay their checks. Once our food finally arrived, it was delivered to us by the manager..no apology or explanation for the hour delay. My son had ordered the chicken and waffles. When he cut into the chicken it was raw! He had to take his plate to the kitchen door and talk to the manager who apologized. My son did not feel comfortable ordering anything else so we quickly finished our meal and took him somewhere else to eat. VERY DISAPPOINTING. We will not go there again which is unfortunate because it is very convenient to our home on Eddy Street.
Lively ambience and good drinks. Food was mediocre and not worth the cost. Good place to go for a drink or sandwich if you have plenty of time. Service is friendly but very slow.
The food was okay. It is a very noisy space. Convenient parking in the Eddy St parking garage.
Nice selection on menu
Took 15 minutes before someone even came and gave us the menus, then took another half hour before we even got our drinks which was just coke! Then took another 45 minutes to get our food which we only got because we complained and ask where it was. which the waiter went and got it right away then and the food was cold! it was obvious the food had been done for quiet some time but the waiter didn't even bother to bring it out to us. Then to get our debit card back was a joke. We had to ask another waiter to get it back for us as we had been waiting for about 20 minutes for our waiter to bring it back to us. Worst waiter ever! Didn't look like anyone was getting good service either!
We stayed at Embassy Suites and had dinner there 2 evenings for convenience. Menu is somewhat limited but salads, burgers, and sandwiches were tasty. We asked for rolls which were not on the menu and they came up with warm, soft rolls for us. Appreciated that service.
The server was very good...however, we had to wait an hour for our food to be delivered. This was the first time we visited Traditions. However, we will give it a second chance!
Horribly understaffed. Two waiters for easily twenty tables. Food took more than an hour after ordering, had to go to bar to get our own drinks because waiter was too busy. Food arrived overcooked and cold. Spoke to manager who seemed ambivalent. Won’t be back. Huge disappointment.
Food and service were good. Nothing extraordinary either way. Waiter was pleasant but lacked training. He bas potential
Great location, fantastic ambiance but small portions for the price. At most places I can eat about 1/3 of my meal. At this restaurant, my portion was so small I left hungry.
Music very loud. Food and service ok
For basic fare done well, this restaurant is good, large, and right across from the Notre Dame campus.
Did not like the flat bread, very dry. No flavor. Nice ambiance. Pricey.
It was great but felt a little awkward as we were literally the only 2 people in the entire restaurant over a weekend lunch hour. More marketing!
Went on Memorial Day. Extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, hot, and plentiful. Recommend the sweet potatoes tots, The Traditions Burger, Chicken Cesar wrap, and salad bar was 5 star. Will be back often.
They we under staffed and over worked. One dish
was over cooked and one was under cooked and had to be sent back. The only positive feedback is the giant pretzel was great.

Please reach out to Jessica Reno directly to make arrangements when you are ready, and we will be here to make it right! 574-220-1063
We had a party of 10 for my son's graduation. The restaurant has a nice vibe to it and we were pleased all the way around, except the service needed some work. I know they are relatively new, but I would think the kinks would have been worked out by now. I would definitely go there again, though, and would recommend it to others.
The food was delicious and the service was great! They accommodated are large party without any hesitation!
best Sunday buffet I've experienced in quite a while. Top Notch.
Mother's Day Brunch was not good. Food was OK, service was bad.
The staff was friendly and very accommodating. For the price, the food is fairly decent. The only thing that detracts from the experience was the fact that it was close to impossible to reach the restaurant. The number listed on Opentable and on their own website goes straight to voicemail. I learnt, eventually, that you have to call embassy suite to get redirected, and that was quite frustrating.
Great service, accommodated 11 people for a last minute lunch! Will definitely be returning.
We went on a very busy night after the Blue-Gold game and before the Tim McGraw concert. It was very busy, and though the service was not fast, it was still quite good considering the crowd. More importantly, all the servers had a great attitude and displayed great teamwork.
Draft list is really good as is the bottled beer selection. The food exceeded my expectations, especially given the limited menu for that day. We had a big table so we tried almost everything. The street corn potatoes/nachos are a must as are the sweet potato tots and the cheesy fried pickles. The chili cheese fries weren't that great and the pretzel was a little dry.
Overall, I'd recommend this place as a great pre-Notre Dame event meal location, especially with a larger group.
Two friends and I like to try new restaurants, so we gave Traditions a shot. It was OK until some one cranked up the music. They we couldn't hear each other. It really spoiled the meal.
When I got there I told the manager that we were parked in the garage on Eddy St. and that we would staying more than two hours and could he assure us that we could get out if/when we stayed over two hours. The Manager gave us three plastic cards and said we would have no trouble getting out of the garage after two hours.
When two of us got back to the garage, the card didn't work and two of us had to pay $3 to get out. One of my friends parked on the street. It's not the money, it's the principle of the thing,
We loved it and the food was tasty. We enjoyed the fish tacos and sweet potatoes fries. They were amazing. The service was great and our server was very friendly. It was a nice atmosphere and will be even more fun in the summer when they open up the large windows to the outside.
