   This place has so much potential!!! It’s on the beach, great view and food. Just the place itself is so dull and lacks any real feeling of being out for the night. Feels like a school cafeteria.

   This is the second time in three years I’ve made a reservation for dinner only to have to go somewhere else because we were not able to eat. The first time they were supposedly doing renovations and we were turned away even after they had taken our reservation. Three years later we tried to go there again yesterday. Our reservation was confirmed by phone last Thursday and when we arrived we told the restaurant had to close because of an emergency. So after they called me to confirm, I was not called to tell me I would not be served again. Completely u professional so we called Le Yaca Virginia Beach and they not only took our reservation right away they guaranteed my seating at my favorite table with only 15 minutes notice. I will never try and eat at TradeWinds again. What a joke! You seriously need to get your act together.

   Great views of the Bay and on cooler evenings an opportunity to sit out on the deck and absorb it all.

   Sort of a sad day. Took my daughter and son-in-law to brunch yesterday and at that time found out that the Tradewinds will no longer be providing this service after July 1st. I have to say that even though all the staff are a little disappointed at the decisions they still provided a fantastic brunch everybody was very pleasant. Our server Brandon was very attentive always there To provide whatever we needed. This being my daughter and son-in-law's first visit they were very impressed with the set up very very much enjoyed everything on the menu. I want to personally thank Chef O and all the staff for their efforts and time for providing such a great Meal and experience. I wish them all the best in whatever the future will bring and that someday that management will bring back the Sunday morning brunch. Again very well done and I thank you very much from myself and all my family.

   Came here for Father’s Day and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. There was a fly in my water, they gave me a coffee cup with lipstick stains on it, and the staff was unprofessional. The food was subpar and not worth the price in the least bit. Will never go back again.

   It’s just sad to see what happened to this place. We arrived for dinner at 6. This should be prime time on a Saturday but the place was empty. We figured that would be good and the food would come out faster. We were wrong. Dave’s oysters came out a little late but they were hot and cooked perfect and very flavorful. They did not have the Cesar salad out on time and it came out later with the entrees. The salad was made wrong and there were tomatoes on it. It looked like it was made with the ends if he lettuce only. Not a lot of green. I ordered the chicken Oscar and the chicken was definitely over cooked. It was sitting on a bed of cold angel hair pasta. The chicken had good flavor but the rest of it was horrible. My date ordered the shrimp and grits. This did come out warm but the grits were definitely out of a box or tasted like it. Overall I was really disappointed with the food. This place was a lot better years ago but ended up a quick place for the tourists who don’t know any better. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

   Have been to the restaurant and number of times, each with enjoyable results. However, we were very disappointed this time and do not know if we will return. The restaurant was severely understaffed. Several of the entrée selections were empty and remained emptied during our dining experience. Our server tried as best she could but with the number of tables that she had to service again service was somewhat pool. Additionally, the eggs and waffles stations were severely understaffed. There was only one person there when in the past there has always been at least two. The piano player however was immensely enjoyable as he always is.

    Food was down right terrible. I wish I wss exaggerating when I said it was the worst meal I've ever paid for. Our server Beth was attentive but could not save that food. My salmon was cooked fine, served over unseasoned spinach and glassy mash potatoes. My wife's chicken topped with crab had no flavor except for the crab and hollandaise. Her asparagus was cooked to hell and unseasoned, served ontop of a mountain of spaghetti, which was bland also. The chicken wasn't even seasoned. Had my wife and I been jerks I wouldn't want to pay for it, but we just wanted a nice meal on Valentine's and a night out as we have a kid and get them rarely. I won't waste another night out here. There literally was one other table sending back their food also. There was nobody in this place for the food to be so horrible. Go anywhere else!
