The food was great, the service was terrific!! We had a great time and all the staff were so friendly! It was our anniversary and gave us a surprise dessert on the house to celebrate! Very nice and thoughtful of them! Will definitely visit again! Btw, must try their Uni risotto!!

Charming izakaya, unique and tasty dishes..we ordered every single UNI dish! it is an uni paradise.. Service is attentive and enthusiastic! This may be the only reason we are coming back to Vancouver for.. Interestingly..non of the websites or vlogs mention it - we only heard about it after dining at there more famous sibling— Raisu!

Really enjoyed my visit to Tokoyan Plaza. The concept is cool and well-executed. The intimate setting and nice ambience made it feel relaxed and welcoming. And the price point felt fair for what you get. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking to try something new!

Staff was incredibly friendly and sweet made the whole experience memorable, food was amazing was never a big fan of uni mainly went for my bf birthday but finding myself craving for more of the food definitely see myself going there again!!

Very comfortable setting and the menu book remined of the notebook I used to use when I was in Shogakko in Japan :) The food was excellent exceeded my expectation. Thank you. I will come back again

This place is truly special, especially for my family, who are big fans of Japanese culture. As soon as we entered, we couldn’t help but reminisce about record covers from 30-40 years ago in Japan, one of which we used to own. The menu, featuring Mount Fuji and Tokyo Tower on the cover, sets the tone with so many little details that instantly catch your attention. For anyone who loves sea urchin, this spot is a must-visit. The uni fusion dishes are fantastic. We ordered a variety of items, each one more impressive than the last. Our selection included clams and mussels, uni pudding, scallop uni cream long sushi, unagi & nori pizza, black cod, sea urchin udon, jumbo oysters, and some refreshing drinks like pineapple passion fruit tea and grapefruit juice. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the Peachmond and crème brûlée, which were the perfect sweet finish to the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and they really made our celebration feel extra special. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

Overall great experience. Food and drinks was great. Staff was courteous and on point. For how much we ate and drank it was surprisingly reasonable.
