CALIFORNIA & COMFORT CUISINE ON BELDEN PLACE Whether you're looking to have a quick lunch, conduct a business meeting, host a banquet or go on a first date, Toy Soldier is sure to deliver. We offer a casual & lively atmosphere sprawled across our main dining room, full bar, romantic upstairs lounge & outdoor dining area. We're serving up fun, military-inspired specialty cocktails and a wine program emphasizing Northern California. All libations have a focus on small producers and growers - our regional rotations will explore all the best California has to offer. Most importantly, we're offering up our pride & joy, our home-made beer - Toy Soldier IPA, brewed on-site in our brewery downstairs below the bar.

                                              They always say you find the best restaurants hidden in alleys… and we found one here. My husband and I were at the ICA contemporary art museum around the corner and checked opentable to see what restaurants were close by. The dinner menu here, with grilled proteins like steak, pork chops and fish was an easy decision… and it did not disappoint. Our super friendly server recommended a Malbec (most places recommend the highest priced reds with a steak but not our server) and it was perfect. Everything was cooked to proper temperatures and we never had an empty glass of water. Oh yea… the French fries were so good we actually took home what we couldn’t finish and air fried them later that night. STILL GOOD! Can’t wait to go back to try the lunch menu and have the burger (and fries!)

                                              Fantastic lunch. Food was very good and Arturo our waiter has great recommendations that were all better than described. A bit pricey but not at all disappointing and will definitely come back. We had the burger, cheesesteaks and chicken sandwich and shared across the table. The burrata was super fresh with amazing heirloom tomatoes. Service was attentive and friendly and helpful at every turn. Thanks Toy Soldier!!

                                              The service and food were amazing! It’s in an “alley” and it’s small. I was a little worried walking up to it. But it was great and they had cheap oysters too!!

                                              The food and atmosphere are amazing! The place is close to everything and eating outside was a delight! I recommend the crispy chicken sandwich. But everything is good. The food comes fast and they are very friendly and professional.
