There was cold air blowing down on our table. The server would not move us to an interior table - even though the restaurant was more than half empty. The food was good.

I can't give this restaurant an overall very good rating due the ambience; the music is way too loud. My guest and I had a difficult time hearing each other which is annoying.

The meal and service was outstanding. The filet and polenta was cooked to perfection and I will be back for it. The environment is loud. I didn’t feel like it was difficult to converse but we needed to use elevated voices. Not too loud to not come back but loud enough that I would consider another restaurant if I had an overstimulating day.

First time in to Townhouse even though my office is nearby. The construction around 111 S Wacker makes it a little challenge finding the door. Met a friend for lunch. Nice sandwiches, service was very good. Would recommend you give them a go if you work in the Loop.

Townhouse provided a perfectly adequate business lunch location. Services was prompt and the food was good. The construction greatly hindered the environment and removed the possibility of outside seating, however.

Great evening at Townhouse. First time there and the waiter was attentive and gracious, the food tasty and fresh. I shopped on line and a neighboring restaurant had all fried foods where Townhouse had fresh foods. I will go back when in the neighborhood.

I was really impressed! We came for dinner right after a matinee at the Lyric, we chose the place because it was close and had a menu that everyone in our group could be happy with. The food was really excellent, high quality, nicely prepared and presented , generous portions. Service was outstanding, prompt, courteous, professional. It is a very loud restaurant so one of those places. But the place was popular with the right after work crowd so seems to have a loyal clientele. Overall a great value. Very very pleased.

Noise level is SO loud it’s hard to think or have any conversation with the person who is with you. I had to wait a long time before any server would stop to wait on me so I asked one for help and he made up for the initial poor service. He was so attentive and listened to how I needed to be on time for the show at the Lyric. Food was great. Too bad the construction makes it hard to find at this time.

Space was ok, food was not - brown slimy lettuce in a salad, condiments that had very obviously been sitting out that had an impenetrable layer on top. Burger was mediocre.

I went there for a check-in with an employee. I have eaten at Townhouse many times in the past and it has been loud. You find yourself having to talk loudly for a lunch. There is construction going on in the building and during lunch it was terribly loud as they worked. Then, the restaurant decided to turn on rock music elevating the noise level even more. Not sure if they consciously did that to drown out the construction. The added noise made the experience very poor. The food and service was fine but nothing to write home about.

Great place for a dynamite happy hour - especially in that part of the city which is pretty quiet after hours. The appetizers were yummy and we had a great, very attentive server. Would recommend especially if attending the Lyric.

Good food portion for the cost. Food was a bit bland but prepared well. The server was attentive and friendly. It's very loud and difficult to partake in a business lunch. Great bar for HH with wine options.

Waitress was great! Food was not that good. My crab cake was subpar for $20. It didn't taste good. My daughter had the Chicken Caesar salad and it didn't taste good either. We both didn't finish our meal. Would have preferred Chipotle. Won't be returning unless the food gets better.

Pre lyric dinner. Waiter kept us on schedule. Food was quite good. WAY TOO LOUD to enjoy a supper and conversation. Go here for after work drinks/apps with the gang, but forget about trying to have dinner

The food is always very good, service is excellent, the restaurant is attractive. But the restaurant is also freezing in winter, frankly, on particularly cold days like we had about ten days or so ago, you really need to put a coat on. I complained about this from way before the Pandemic as I ate there about three days every week. I just do not understand why they cannot pump in more heat into the restaurant. All my colleagues complain about it to. Please fix it as we very much enjoy the food and staff. Thank you.
