A fun neighborhood experience. We had lunch, so we missed the 5 billion (exaggeration) candles flickering. But, it’s still a great place to go for food.

I came here for my birthday with friends and family, hoping for a celebratory meal in a lively setting. Unfortunately, our experience at Toulouse Petit was underwhelming and stressful. To start, the noise level was incredibly high—my friend, an audiologist, measured it at over 90 decibels, which made conversation nearly impossible. Service issues further dampened the mood. I never received the water I specifically asked for, and our table ordered beignets that never arrived. When we finally brought it up, our server claimed she'd “heard we didn’t want them,” which was incorrect. At that point, we had finished eating, and we asked for them to be removed from the bill. We also ordered large mimosas and were given small ones instead. While the issue was eventually corrected, it took quite a while. All these back-to-back mistakes added unnecessary stress to what was meant to be a relaxed and joyful meal. The food itself was solid—I'd rate it 4/5—but service missteps and communication breakdowns overshadowed the quality. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience did not meet expectations, especially for a special occasion. I hope this feedback is helpful for the restaurant to improve guest experience moving forward.

We went for Saturday brunch & it was delicious! Highly recommend the beignets to start. I had the BLT breakfast sandwich with breakfast potatoes & it was so good. Honestly couldn’t go wrong choosing anything on the menu.

I’ve been going here for quite a few years and I felt like the service and consistency of food have been pretty good that I often brought people who visited Seattle to have brunch here. with our most recent visit, it felt like there had been some type of shift in the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. I had a reservation and unfortunately due to sensory issues the table we were sat at the chair was very uncomfortable for me. I asked if we could be seated somewhere else and the hostess said we could sit at a different table but we had to be done within the hour cause there was another reservation. Across from the table we were sat at was a table at the bar that was never occupied at the time from when we got there to when we left. It’s just awkward when you feel rushed. They changed the way their menu looks which I found confusing when trying to read it. I got the pancakes with strawberries and I was disappointed as I had ordered this before and had gotten way more strawberries. The ones that were on my plate were unevenly cut and there were only a few pieces. I had to ask for syrup with my pancakes and unfortunately they only give you a small Little container that is more appropriate for a shot of espresso. when we were presented with our bill there was now a new additional card fee tacked onto the cost of the meal plus the living wage fee(which we're still prompted to also tip on top of that). I know with some smaller businesses they do charge card fees but this is a very popular spot in Seattle so it was rather surprising to see as this didn't happen the last time I ate here. Overall, lots of little things have changed to create a not so great experience not worth the price of the restaurant and as busy as it gets it does get loud.

We were delighted to celebrate our son’s birthday at Toulouse! We love the atmosphere and service by Nicole was exceptional and friendly. Salads, jambalaya and steak were all flavorful well prepared and delicious. Only complaint was we couldn’t enjoy dessert as birthday cake was waiting at home. It has been too long since our last visit, we definitely will not delay our return and look forward to our return!

We had a reservation for a group of 7. We were seated in a booth that would normally seat 5. When we asked for a larger table. We were told this would seat 7. Crammed in like sardines. Then the waiter came. Not a hello or good evening just do you want drinks. He asked if we wanted bread but neglected to tell us the price. All in all, our waiter was rude and impatient. The waiter knew he was getting a 20% tip regardless and his attitude showed it. The food is expensive and the added charges for living wage, gratuity and taxes came to 26 per person.
