Food and price are decent. The service is incredibly bad, however. Expect a long wait for your drinks and/or food.
Wonderful! Service could have been a little faster but it was worth the wait!
Dinner was delicious and service was spot on. Was a little dark for reading the menu.
Dinner was delicious! And we had excellent service. Favorite place to go before heading to the theater.
Wonderful meal, each of our four person party ordered something different and we all got to share in four very different and delicious dishes. And we highly recommend starting with the beignets.
Everything great except for service not the usual...it was pretty busy.
Food and cocktails delicious!
We have been going to this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed our experience. Last night was the first time we have dined there in a while. All of the food tasted over seasoned. For instance, the Halibut was cooked perfectly but The sauce that was supposed to be lemony tasted like pure vinegar. We could not taste the tuna in the tuna tartare because it was over powered by horseradish.
Went to a show in lower Queen Anne and picked this place for a pre show dinner. I had made a 9:45 reservation just in case the restaurant was busy- which it was, but we arrived a little early, found a seat in the bar area and had great service! Quick drinks, great wine and enjoyed two - very large, tasty appetizers. I’ve been before and we will confirm to go. A great place for entertaining, foodies and date nights!
Excellent food but packed on Friday night and not equipped to deal with the amount of people coming in. Our reservation was at 8:15 - we got seated at 8:35 and our server came to take our first drink order at 8:50 (no exaggeration - my family works in the food industry so I was watching the time). We saw patrons get seated then getting up to leave when no one came around to take care of them for a long time. Everything we ordered was great but the excruciatingly slow service definitely took away from the dining experience.
Excellent loved the ambience and our waitress was friendly and funny!
Delicious cajun/creole food. Definitely go try their breakfast during the happy hour (Monday - Fridag until 11:00). It's really easy to get a table and their Big Easy take on breakfast food is AMAZING.
Had a great dinner there before hitting the show. Loved the custom lighting fixtures and the wide range of prices for the meals. Wine was expensive. Definitely worth a return visit.
Made a reservation for 2:15 days in advance. Received a phone call an hour before my reservation (5 people) asking us to arrive early because the kitchen would be closing at 2:30. Pretty lame.
We were early and ready to get everything going at 2:00. Restaurant was not.
Once orders were placed and the wheels were turning everything was fantastic. Food was delicious and staff was lovely.
Don't expect amazing service, do expect to have an awesome time.
I have eaten here many time's and for the first time yesterday my food was less than perfect, which caught me off guard. For some reason my food (Lunch Steak Frites with Shallot Pan Sauce) was inedible salty. If it were any other restaurant I may not have even noticed, but I have been here several times and this is not their typical standard.
I will chalk this up to just a bad day for the cook and assume this is highly unusual. I'll be back to try it again.
A big hit again. The food at Toulouse Petit is always wonderful. I had the blackened rockfish and my wife had the wild boar and lamb tagliatelle. Both entrees were delicious. We also enjoyed two appetizers: fried green tomatoes with dungeness crab and braised bacon. What a way to start a dining experience. The sauces that this restaurant uses are perfectly prepared for each dish. The fried green tomatoes and crab appetizer was a real treat.
While our server, Lauren, was awesome and made our experience great, we never did get our reserved table due to a previous party sitting at the table. Lauren was able to eventually move us from two tables at the bar to the long, high top table in the bar to accommodate our party. But it was 45 minutes after our reservation time. It seems like the restaurant should know how to accommodate two large parties if they accept the reservation.
The atmosphere is unique and energetic, our wait person was fun and had helpful food suggestions. Dinner service was as we requested and we were on time for our play.
The salmon dish was awesome, very flavorful. Nice ambiance.
Great taste of southern food and hospitality... server was pleasant and when we ordered two dishes- a gumbo and a jumbalaia saying we just needed a light lunch - she delivered them already split into two portions - now that’s thinking!
This is a real find. From outside it looks something completely different. Don’t be fooled by appearances. We loved our dinner so much that next day went for lunch. Had to wait for the table some 40 minutes as no reservations taken for lunch. Dinner was quite noisy due to both acoustics and rather loud music, so we enjoyed lunch more as we could have a conversation without shouting. Both times the dishes were superb from an interesting menu.
This is one of our goto's when taking visitors our to dinner in Seattle. They have something for everyone. All of it good. Never had a bad meal here and we love the atmosphere. Can be spendy if you go overboard but you can be economical as well if that is desired.
Consistently well prepared food over the years I have eaten here. Fresh roasted halibut and diver scallops were two excellent meals; generous serving size. Different salad combinations and a delectable dessert made for a great dinner. Attentive service
It is definitely one of my go to places. Never fails.
Been here several town due to their food quality and choices.
I have been to Petit Toulouse for brunch many times but never lunch or dinner. WOW! I had a business lunch here this week and had the salmon on a bed of arugula and corn and it was probably the BEST salmon I've EVER had and I eat out A LOT!!! I was amazed!! I cannot wait to go back. It was truly remarkable.
Another great dinner. Always look forward to our next time stopping in. Thank you
Food was tasty, a number of choices were attractive. They did not have any fresh oysters and this was before the dinner rush.
We were slightly disappointed. The waitress came over shortly after we sat down and asked if we wanted drinks. I was still deciding but my boyfriend knew what food we wanted & what drink he wanted so we ordered that. I waited & waited, waitress never came back. Everyone who walked by didn’t even look our way either. I had to go order my drink at the bar myself and when I got back our food was at the table. They dropped the food off and again never came back to see if we wanted more drinks or to refill water. The food was ok but kind of bland which was surprising considering Cajun creole food usually has a lot of spice to it. We were kind of disappointed overall.
Great atmosphere and food was amazing. However, the quality of the service they provided was very poor. The server who served our table came by our table twice the entire dinner. We couldn't get water refilled or order more drinks unless we grabbed other servers passing by our table to call our server. When we asked for a desert menu, they gave us a check. Their service was disrespectful and disappointing overall.
I hosted a small alumni dinner here and we enjoyed the entire experience. Magdalen provided exceptional service and we chose all of her main course recommendations. Thank you for a great evening.
Dinner before the Warriors/Kings basketball game at the Key Arena. Made reservations months ago, knowing it would be crowded. Dinner was excellent. Service was fantastic. Glad we came early. Will definitely return.
It was my first time at the restaurant and I enjoyed it very well.
Everything was outstanding. Wouldn’t mind it a bit quieter though.
Tasty food, unusual combinations of ingredients well prepared. Fair prices, good value. Nice wine list but we drank by the glass (the bottle of wine with dinner days are in the rear view mirror) and that list still included a nice Oregon pinot noir.
The noise level is striking upon arrival, but we seem to adjust to it and it is not an inhibitor to conversation or enjoyment.
This restaurant is one of our favorites and a top choice in this neighborhood.
Everything was great until I received my food. I ordered the jumbo shrimp and grits, but the grits were way to watery. I could barely eat the grits with a spoon, basically it was soup. I was given a fork with my meal, I had no chance to eat the grits with a fork!
My favorite place on the planet to eat. From the kind staff, the ambience, on top of of the best cuisine in Seattle! If I had it my way, id eat here at least once a week!
Service was strange - first they couldn’t find our reservation, then they sat us down at a table that was separate from our group (despite the fact that we were all on the same reservation). To make things worse, they pushed us to leave after being seated for just over an hour, claiming that another group had a reservation and was waiting for our table. We walked by the restaurant about 30 minutes later after grabbing a drink at another bar and found that our original table was still sitting empty... Luckily, at least the food was good!
One of my favs in Seattle. Everything here is good and very authentic Nawlin's cuisine.
fantastic food! service good but not outstanding.
Everything we ordered was delicious. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and staff were all very friendly. It would be nice if there was a bread or something for the table to accompany the meal but overall it was a great dinner.
