In Japanese, TOTO means “Fish” and YAMA means “Mountain” and it’s also part of the name of the owner and chef Yamamoto.

The restaurant offers sushi and ramen sticking to carefully selected Ingredients, as well as sashimi, tempura, pork cutlets and more, a taste of real authentic Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices. We are located in the heart of Hollywood across from the W Hotel and one half block away from Pantages Theater. Please come join us for a taste of Japan. We offer 2 hour parking validation, we have a regular happy hour from 4-7pm and a late night happy hour 10pm – closing. Try our lunch specials available everyday. We offer to-go orders pick up or delivery by all food delivery companies.

Convenient to the Pantages. Recommend getting reservations because this little restaurant can be very busy around showtimes. The staff is very friendly however, I noticed they were not attentive to use once the food was placed on our table (need anything more? more water or food? how is everything?). If that would have happened, they would get five stars.

Best sushi in town. Sat a the bar. Best tasting sushi that I ever had, including on Okinawa.

We enjoyed eating here. The rolls are a bit different than what you get other places. We will be back . Also very convenient to the Pantages theater.

Small casual place located very close to the Pantages. My friend had a cooked fish dinner which had bones in it that she had to remove. Our soy sauce container was empty and we had to ask for it to be filled 3 times. Finally we borrowed the one from the table next to us. We had to ask to have our water refilled numerous times. Terrible service and if that wasn’t bad enough, we got charged 50 cents for a small side of siracha and 3.00 for extra ginger!!!

Dinner was good and the location amazing, especially if attending a show at Pantages. However, I was very disappointed and turned off that I was charged .50 per person for ponzu instead of soy sauce.
