The place is beautiful, but a little hard to locate at first. Its a nice hotel with the restaurant lounge. Food was not expensive, however we had appetizers and went into the city. Drinks were good, nice view.

First of all we are locals and dine at many Newport establishments so not tourists! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME no matter who you are. Showed up for our reservation and manager dismissed us and dumped us with a hostess who put us at a fire pit location and then everyone disappeared. We finally had someone come by and light the fire pit and gave us one menu for five of us to review. The waitress came over and took our drink order and left to be tracked down later. Drinks took about 30 min and almost got poured all over one of us. Waitress did not remember who got what drink and drinks messed up. We ordered food and food delivered by runner and sat for a little bit by us and runner came back and saw it still there and placed the dishes. Second drinks took over thirty minutes again and we had to go up to the hostess desk to ask about them. People around us were also going up to hostess stand complaining about service time and attention. They got free drinks for the wait. At this point we were so done sitting around and waiting and wanted the check. Finally we went up to the hostess desk to ask for the check. We waited and when she came she disappeared before we could give a credit card. Once we sat for another 30 min- we went up to the hostess desk to see if anyone would take our check and card to leave. We stood there in front of others coming in and manager again ignored us. Finally someone took it and no apology or attention. We left and will never return. Valet was the best part of our experience besides what we made ourselves! PS- we also think our waitress were under the influence.

We were warmly greeted by the hostess staff and provided with a table that provided us with a beautiful view of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge. Our waitress was most welcoming and engaging and provided us with excellent service. The food was excellent and plentiful. Our experience at the Torpedo Lounge was "top of the line".

food was absolutely delicious. we had the Baked goat cheese (should come with more crostini for a shared plate), Ahi Tuna Poke, Tavern Burger, Fish and Chips, Crispy Chicken Wings and Bloody Marys. everything was top notch, pleasant ambience, server was great but seemed a little put out that we were not ready to order. but highly recommend and cannot wait to go back

Clam chowder was missing clams. Orders got messed up and pricey. Settings and hotel was great

Honestly a bad experience. Horrible service. Dont go here. Waiter was probably under the influence. Food was cold. No one ever checked in

Grace our our waitress was subservient We will come back again We had a bad taste in our mouth last time we ate when Guerrero owned and managed the place We tried it under new management and Grace represents new owner and management well beyond their expectations

We were seated immediately and then waited 15 minutes before even being greeted by a waitress, ordered water and drinks, it was 45 minutes before our water and drinks even came. The bartender had to come over and take over for us or else we’d have had no service at all. The table next to us was non stop vaping and when the manager came over to apologize for the service he did discount our breakfast by 50% but when I asked about their vaping policy he said he’d check and come back, but we never saw him again and the vaping continued; needless to say we won’t be back.
