Stephen, our Irish server, was very welcoming and did a great job giving us suggestions, time, and service. We made it to their garden setting before they ended the Spring season decorations. It was beautiful and nice with the view. The Crab dip ($21) was very delicious. They did not skimp out of the crab. It was in a round dish and paired with baguette bread. We also got a Sauvignon Blanc bottle.

Definitely a fun experience. I personally wasn’t a fan of my cocktail (Point Lima) but the others we recieved were quiet tasty. We ended up having the dessert sampler which was a tad disappointing and not as flavorful as we hoped. The dessert was what brought the score down. Amazing view despite the cloudiness

Drinks were delicious, we ordered the Hillcrest from their original menu and 2 others from their flower pop-up menu. Ambiance was nice, server was pleasant.

The atmosphere was beautiful but our waiter wasn’t very good. Gave off an energy that they rather be anywhere else and wasn’t personable at all. Never refilled our water. Never came to check on us. Waited about 20 minutes to even see the waiter to order after we sat down. Then didn’t see him again for awhile.

The garden experience was cute. We made reservations and were seated promptly but took at least 20mins before our server engaged. Server was great! Cocktails were delicious and will run you about 22 dollars minimum. Was a little noisy but that's to be expected at a bar . We didn't order any food due to hearing the guests next to us complain. We had one cocktail and went to another location to continue our night . Overall the experience was good

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were super late for our reso and they still seated us. Also let us switch tables to a better view. Took very long to get our check even after flagging someone down to request for it. The food was delicious and great for the expected price in DT. We ordered the Charcuterie platter nice size and selection of quality items) and the crab dip which was very yummy (they also gave extra crustini bread when we asked) Drinks were price but expected and were great! Thos place elevates in noise level around 5pm (be warned) it didn't bother us too much. As for the experience of the "pop up garden" I wasn't impressed. Took my mother for a special mother's day experience... she loves flowers. I wish there was more live real flowers and plants. The only fresh real ones were on a vase on tables and few decorated tables. Otherwise it was all fake and not very many. I paid for a green house semi private experience for two with view and it kind of felt like I was in a glass dog house with our 2 chairs side by side behind a low small round table. So we were sitting next to each other which makes it awkward when trying to have a condo. Which is why we asked to move tables... I would go again but won't bother, next time, to pay extra for that.

We had a wonderful experience. Preston, who seated us was so friendly and accommodating. Our waitress, Brittany, couldn’t have been friendlier and attentive. We had the meat & cheese board and it was plenty for 2. We then shared the dessert trio and it was very tasty. It is a little pricey but you are paying for the view as well. Decorations were cute. I thought it was just enough. Any more and it would have looked tacky. Parking at the Hyatt is free for the first 3 hours if you get it validated at a restaurant or bar at the hotel. We weren’t aware of that at the time and paid a ridiculous amount for parking. Next time, we’ll know better. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!

Overall our experience was good but not fantastic. I felt for a small place we should have had a little faster service. As far as the experience/installation I wish there were a few more Mahican elements with lights after the sun went down. All of our cocktails were delicious. We ate the olives(amazing!), pepperoni flatbread(not greasy and super crispy), and the ahi(could have been plated more artfully, salad with it was fantastic the ahi was meh). For the overall cost of a few drinks and apps it was a little overpriced.

Okay views. Place feels very dated and like a corporate environment. Decorations masked it slightly, but were mminimal. Prices were very high, but it is a top floor of a building. Won't be back unless my company takes me.

The food & drinks were delicious and service was excellent. But calling it a “pop up botanical speakeasy” was really deceiving. A speakeasy is hidden. A popup is a temporary place that only exists for a short period of time. Your bar is neither. It’s a rooftop bar decorated with a bunch of silk flowers for a couple of months.

The “grand garden” experience was a bunch of fake flowers other than the table centerpieces.. “private” dining.. not at all.. but our waiter was outstanding and just the right amount of attentive.

Just enjoying my first day of leave, staying local on my first day. I love dining and sipping on some cocktails while looking at a nice view. Their food is amazing, I ordered cocktail shrimp, cheese and meat, and flatbread, they’re sooo good. Also ordered strawberry cocktail and it’s strong for me, i don’t usually drink alcohol, I kinda wish they have a non alcoholic drink menu as well. If you’re into strong cocktails then it’s for you, but I prefer sweet cocktail. But overall the experience is awesome, everyone is nice.

Ambiance and vibe wasn’t great. All the flowers were fake except ones on table. The view at night is almost non existent because of the bright lighting at the place causing a reflecting on the windows.

To be honest I was pretty disappointed with it. Everything was SO expensive and the "garden" was all fake plants. I thought we would be sitting outside but no, just by a window. A very very average bar with a great view. Good was incredibly dull - almost no flavor and drinks were okay not great.

Loved the grand garden pop-up vibe! The food and drinks were delicious! Be sure to try the crab dip it’s amazing. Also be ready to spend $22 for a cocktail but keep in mind you’re paying for the view :) it gets very loud in there from people Having conversations so maybe turning up music is a good idea? I could barely hear any music playing. Will go back for a drink for a special night out.

We went for the new garden/spring experience it was not what I expected. It was more of an "Instagram vs. Reality" situation. The floral arrangements were scarce. On the website it looked as if we were booked the little private table in the garden area (mini greenhouse vibe) for 75.00 minimum per person but in reality we got a table to the side, no minimum but ended up spending well over 75.00 per person for below average food. There was joy enough bread or cracker for the charcuterie, the ahi plate was listed as a sharable but it was mainly a cucumber and greens salad that was cut so poorly you couldn't even find an average bite size of anything. For the price range I expect better quality of the plates ordered. The pizza was ok. Nothing to remember. Our server rarely came to our table of 6. She was not engaging or friendly ot helpful. I consider myself a local SD cuisine lover, and frequent multiple downtown and little italy restaurants weekly. I've worked in the area for over 12 years and am a San Diego native. As much as I love the Grand Manchester and have had better experiences at the top of the Hyatt before, last night visit was underwhelming and over priced. We got out of there rather quickly and enjoyed the lobby bar downtown stairs where Uriel (server) and the bartenders were fun, engaging and on top of it start to finish

Food and drinks were really good. The view is awesome. The decorations were ok- not as robust, bright and vivid as they were show online. The place is older so it felt like the drinks and food were overpriced given that.

The build up for this restaurant was way over the top. It was well marketed - Grade A for their marketing team. However, this was just a glorified lipstick on a pig. Not the ambiance depicted in the photos at all. What food was offered was moderate. They could have stepped up the furnishings and toned down the lighting to enhance their intended theme. Oh well...

Top of the Hyatt experience was unfortunately unpleasant due to the service we received. We were hosted by waitress Britany and she was completely rude the entire night, she didn’t spend time going over the menu with us, nor waited until I finished ordering. When we arrived, we were never explained this was a time limited experience. Waitress Brittany got us the check and told us our time was already over.

The hostess, Dee, was welcoming and fitting for the spring floral occasion (Over the Top Grand Garden). We were seated (3p reservations) at a great table with a wonderful view (You really can't go wrong from the Top of the Hyatt). Our waiter was pleasant and patient with our needs. We had three garden occasion finger desserts, which were tasty, and some nice churros to top off our lunch dessert. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, yet to be honest, we did not feel it truly presented an 'over-the-top grand garden scene.' It felt more like the usual Top of the Hyatt downtown bar scene dressed up with a dash of seasonal floral blossoms with outdated furnishings. In all fairness, we just came back from a wonderful experience in Japan, where they understand the true value of presenting a floral blossom season within their hotels. But, we must give the Grand Hyatt an 'A' for effort and for outstanding service. BTW ... keep in mind we were not pleased with the inability to have our parking validated ($8 per hour, parked at the adjacent Hyatt parking garage). We paid $16 on top of our $43 dessert lunch. So beware.
