Food was amazing; however, the soufflé was very wet and tasted like scrambled eggs. Not sure if soufflé is supposed to be like that or not.

Top Cut consistently delivers good food and good service. We’ve dined there a number of times and never had a bad experience. I think they’re a little on the expensive side compared to similar restaurants but not enough to make it a bad value. The shrimp cocktail and crab cocktail were very fresh and our steaks were prepared perfectly and obviously a good quality cut of meat. Service was great.

We took all recommendations our waitress provided, as we fully planned to spend at least $300 on dinner for my birthday, and we did. This isn’t to brag but to emphasize that we came in with the expectation to try their absolute best. However, we were left a bit underwhelmed. The texture and flavor of my Wagyu steak wasn’t what I was expecting after having had the same cut many times at other restaurants. My husbands ribeye, although unique considering it was the entire rib bone, had far too much gristle. The one thing that saved the meal was the drink recommendations, sides (which is served family style and I think that’s cute and intimate) and dessert. So, in all I would say save your money and choose from the menu as written. Don’t spend $100+ per steak a la carte. It will all probably come out the same.

As far as everything else went, our waitress Jill was as sweet as can be. They did a great job with keeping different parties separated. It was cozy, and even though the tables against the windows only had views of the parking lot or neighboring shops, it still felt classy and upscale if that’s what you were looking for. Service was prompt but you didn’t feel rushed to eat and get out. I’d come here again, and try something else.

Excellent service and seating. However they miss the mark on their steaks. My fiancé chose the filet which was tough in filet terms and worst had no flavor at all. My ribeye was slightly better however still lacked punch at that price point. Mac and cheese side consisted of soggy noodles with no flavor. Scalloped potatoes were good and crab cake was the best out of everything. Bill was 200 usd. For that kind of money, it better be better than what I can do at home at it wasn’t.

Me and my boyfriend went for Valentine’s Day! The food was incredible and the service was spot on. Everything was very nice and the server was amazing! Very expensive but worth it in my opinion. I got the filet and wasn’t disappointed.

Absolutely LOVE Top Cut! Not only is the food absolutely delicious and perfect, the service is nothing short of top notch. Our server, I forgot her name (she said she came from Blue) was so sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. She was great! We brought our own bottle of wine (paid the corkage fee)and as she was pouring the last few drops out of decanter, she spilled some on the table. She felt really bad - and it was not a big deal for us at all, she bought me a glass of wine to make up for the spillage. Also, at the end, the manager took the corkage fee off the bill too. It was soooo unnecessary but very appreciative. We just felt so bad for our server who felt bad for something minuscule. And we hope the corkage fee doesn’t come out of her pocket!! All in all, that is the type of service Top Cut provides. Makes customers happy. We just love it there and will continue to patronize them.

Food was phenomenal and many reviews stated the service was poor. I did not experience that and rather enjoyed the service. The restaurant was very clean and staff professional. The only downside is the cost. This place will impress just be prepared for an appropriately sized bill.

This restaurant is higher priced, but the quality and preparation of the food is wonderful. In the past we have always had enough leftovers of side items to add to a meal at home, but this time there was only enough for 2 people and no leftovers. I understand that this pandemic has caused many restaurants to lose money, so I have to believe that is why the portioning is smaller. Maybe that will go back to their previous norm when the virus is under control.

My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day this past week. Jill and the team did an excellent job as always. The Manager was in touch throughout the meal and made sure everything went well. We would highly recommend Top Cut for an all around great dining experience.

We always have a very enjoyable experience at TOP Cut! We haven’t been there in awhile due to current circumstances. We missed going for our 20th wedding anniversary due to the closure so decided to make up for it. WE were not disappointed. We will return again soon to enjoy the tuna tartare, filet mignon and fantastic halibut.

Dinner at Top Cut is one of the best meals you can find across the whole Valley. The price point means it'll likely be a "special occasion" experience for most folks. But I promise you it's 100% worth it.

Overall, an excellent experience. We went with another couple and all 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. Two of us had steak and two had fish. Mo was our server and he took really good care of us. We were celebrating a birthday and he brought us a huge slice of carrot cake for the table. Not an inexpensive meal, but worth the price. We will go back again without question.

As always, Top Cut did not disappoint! We've been here several times and Chris and his staff are tremendous! David always makes the meal enjoyable, the good was cooked to perfection and my wife and I had a lovely night out! I highly recommend this place for a night out with friends or a date night!

Superb food and excellent service from David. We have not been into the city since February. Now that we’ve found Top Cut, we have another reason to avoid the parking, miserable accommodations, and terrible experience of city dining. Since the city of Philadelphia has screwed the dining public, we’ve discovered three spectacular city-dining experiences and Top Cut is absolutely one of them. Ask for David. He is awesome, he makes it sound like you want to try everything. Great steaks, great drinks, excellent Sinatra sounds (FYI, I’m only 50). If you’re tired of how the city treats people and don’t want to wait for a great meal, this place is one to get to now!

Great experience. My Wagyu NY Strip tasted great albeit was way overdone compared to my wife's great NY strip. For twice the price, they should have paid more attention to the cooking time as it was virtually brown all the way through for a "medium-rare". Still tasted very good as did the sides. Service was excellent.

This is our 2nd time at Top Cut. The 16oz boneless ribeye was good although we ordered it medium and it was medium rare. Some chefs don't like to serve prime steaks anything but rare, but we hadn't had a medium rare in a while, so no complaints, the steak wasn't the best I've had but it was good. The scallops appetizer was very tasty and perfectly done. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and was hearty size and came with several fixins. The coconut layer cake was huge, but my wife and I were splitting everything, anyway. The cake was moist and flavorful and we took half of it home and had it for lunch the next day. The service was excellent. For drinks, we had the special Eliag Craig Manhattan, which was about as good as it gets. We enjoyed the dinner, ambiance, and service.

Once again, I am taken aback my the mediocrity of the steak, specifically. I ordered the 14 oz bone-in filet. Slightly over-cooked, not very flavorful - and thinner than anticipated (think, steak at a good diner). I continue to get duped into this $60-$70 meat, at least once a quarter. I keep trying, since I remain incredulous that a STEAKhouse can have such uninspiring...steak.
That said, the 'experience' remains one of the best in the Valley (attentiveness and civility of staff, impressive wine list, sides, apps, ambiance, etc.). I suppose the place remains a metaphor for life in general...it is one big, fat trade-off...

I'll go back again.. for the salmon.
