Service was above average but not up to Tony’s standards. Our order was confused with another customer and out of order.

I would visit Saint Louis simply to dine at Tony’s! Honest as that! Bada Bing Bada Boom! Pay attention to the following words and phrases: kindness, service, tradition, quality, table side, manners, etiquette, one-of-a-kind, foodie family, food prep, ingredients, wine, never-heard-of! These are a few of the qualities, that a restaurant rating establishment requires, to earn the designation of a AAA Diamond award, to place as a marker on the entrance wall! As seen in my pictures, Ken, an employee for over 45 years, oversees the perfection put on plates! Carpaccio, Linguine with clams and pancetta, Lobster Albanello, Ice Cream Pie, house made Blood Orange cello, Limoncello, and the finest Italian family wine, are an absolute guarantee at Tony’s! Trust, venture, and enjoy!

We have dined at the top paces in St. Louis. We went to Tony’s with another couple who also enjoy fine dining. This was our first time at Tony’s. The food was above average but not at the level that we expected. The service was decent but stuffy. I felt that we were a bother to the table captain and staff. I did not feel welcomed by the food service staff. The waiter brought us the wrong bottle of wine to start the night, which isn’t a huge deal, but it was as if he was annoyed that we said something about it. It turns out, they were out of the one we wanted and they gave us a different year without informing us. No real apology, no trying to make it right, just a short answer that they were out. We were still charged for their mistake.
I had the filet. Cooked perfectly. Good cut but it lacked flavor. My wife had the salmon and she loved it.
We had the chocolate cake for dessert. It was ok. I should’ve ordered the creme brûlée. I ordered a coffee. They forgot and I had to wait 15 min for them to check on our table again to ask.
Our meal took 2.5 hours which I’m sure was intentional due to the type of restaurant. We anticipated it.
The coat check, valet, and front desk staff were phenomenal...maybe they should get a promotion.
Will we be back? Probably not, too many other places in St. Louis that have better food and service for the price.

Always one of the top restaurants in St. Louis. Quality has not declined since the passing of Vince Bommarito, but we did miss Vince's presence and gift of hospitality. His son James did not greet us or stop by our table, something that Vince would never miss.

Great service. Excellent food. Nice to be able to have a conversation without being able to raise or voices. We'll be back!

Took my mom there for her 93rd birthday, and the entire staff went out of their way to make her feel special. So glad we chose Tony’s for such a special occasion!

Made a reservation, showed up and the door was locked. Although there was a threat of weather had dinner across the street at Carmines. Not even the courtesy of putting a sign on their door and no alert on their phone line. Disrespectful.

Not at all what it once was, the elegance and ambiance are gone, the table-side service is still a draw, the servers were professional and gracious but the maitre'd was dismissive and cold. Perhaps Old School but not in a good way.

As always, an absolutely amazing dinner experience. I highly recommend Tony’s to anyone that appreciates fine dining. The service and the food both are first class. I had the beef consume, roasted beets, and Osso bucco. And my wife had their steak with foi grois. For dessert the cannoli was a wonderful finish to the outstanding evening.

Family Gathering for holidays

My cousin and mother in law and I had a lovely dinner at Tony's on Saturday after seeing Wicked at The Fox. It was absolutely delightful. The food was fabulous and the service top notch. We loved the table side service.

Tony's was great food as always but having made the reservation well over a month in advance, it was a bit disappointing to be seated in the "over flow" room rather than the main dining room. Food was great..pricey but expected.

While the food and service was exceptional, the experience was greatly diminished by a loud and obnoxious table of guests seated next to us.

Always a pleasure to come dine at Tony’s. Adam and his team were outstanding. Lobster was a bit tough tonight and the sole needed a little salt. Otherwise, outstanding meal as always.

I love Tonys and I hate to give it a poor review but the service has declined. We waited an hour to simply place our dinner order and it really didn’t improve from there. This has not been the first time lately. I hope it improves. The food was still very good.

The service was horrible prices were overrated for the food.

Had a reservation for the night of graduation from WashU. This establishment has been around for a long time, long enough for my dad to have celebrated his graduation from WashU fifty years prior. Needless to say, the staff made it an unforgettable night. Lovely, quiet, intimate, and divine food. I highly recommend the scallops as well as the flambé. Thanks Tony’s!
