   We celebrated a birthday 6 people in the bar. Ambiance very good, service very good. We had tuna crudo, tuna tartare, jumbo lump crab, snapper, sea bass, mac and cheese, fries, Brussels sprouts. All very good. And duo soufflé half grand marnier, half pistachio. Excellent especially the pistachio.

   I had not been to Tony's for many years, and I was totally pleased with everything. Food and service was awesome, and it is now one of my favorite restaurants. I will, definitely go back more often!

   Actually, have not been in many years. Thought it would be a good location for a Birthday. The salad was drenched in vinaigrette. The Salmon was over cooked. Service was extremely slow. No refills on drinks without being asked to do so. Had to ask for bread, more times than I can say. We were not asked if we wanted coffee with our dessert. It took so long to place the order, that we would have rather left without dessert or the celebratory reason we came. Overall, not the experience I would have expected.

   Pros… excellent service, attention to detail, everything we ate was delicious. The cocktails were great as well. The entire dining experience was great. Cons… the interior design felt like the lobby of a hospital, and seemed dated, and definitely didn’t reflect the level of service and the cuisine. We had a very nice time.

    My friends and I have enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and the service in this lovely restaurant for the last two months that we have decided to make this our "go to" restaurant. Easy to converse in quiet company, all while being cared for attentively.

    Lovely Mother’s day brunch - Tony’s is always a hit - it’s an ultra special experience and the pansoti are extraordinary - little pillows filled with butternut squash in sage butter sauce! Desserts never disappoint! Best cheesecake with praline topping and carrot cake that melts in your mouth.

    Been going to Tony's for 35 years (in various locations) and it's still the place to go for special occasions. The food is amazing. Don't miss the pasta dishes and try some of the standards such as the sole or snapper. Save room for dessert. Wines are expensive but a good variety. Also try someone their special cocktails.

    Tony’s is unbeatable - beautiful interiors, outstanding service and delicious food. While it isn’t an inexpensive place to dine, it is very reasonably priced, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. Tony’s is my favorite restaurant in Houston.

    The service and oversight attention to our every need was handled beautifully. The food was superb. I ordered what I thought was a salad with chicken. It was the most delicious salad with honey mustard dressing and a juicy and tasty chicken breast. I was very pleased. My companion had a fish dish that she raved about. We were not rushed, lingered over lunch, and left very pleased. We plan to return once a month with four of us. Thank you for a lovely experience.

    We have been to Tony’s numerous times but last night our service was horrible. On the check for the evening it lists Scott as the server and Timothy as the cashier. We had 7:30PM reservations; we arrived early. When we ordered our cocktails - it took a good 15 to 20 minutes to arrive at our table. We ordered wine which was not chilled but we were told that. The entire evening was very slow! If you were short staffed we should have been told that and we would have been more understanding. We had to signal our waiter/server to order additional drinks and those also took a long time to arrive. It was a very disappointing evening but the food was excellent!

    We had dinner at Tony’s on a Saturday and wow, what a treat. The restaurant is huge and beautiful. The staff is so attentive and the food is next-level amazing. They have an extensive wine list and menu. The waiter was great about explaining all the dishes to us. The silken potatoes are a must try. The owner came by the table and chatted with us. She’s lovely and hospitable. This spot is a must try if you’re in Houston and want to enjoy a wonderful meal.

    All lovely as usual. My only complaint is that I ate only half of my large filet mignon and was assured it would be wrapped up to take home. Unfortunately, it never got back to me. That’s a lot of expensive, wasted food that I would have really enjoyed.

    Prepare to enjoy a treat — and take your time to enjoy the ambience and the outstanding food. The spaghetti al lemone was fantastic. Dover sole was perfectly crisp yet not dry. Snapper borolo was superb. Service was friendly and appropriately paced. Fred was knowledgeable regarding the menu and offered several options. Truly a memorable evening!

    The food and service were outstanding as usual. They make sure all details of your experience are well taken care of. Some dishes have extremely small food portions for a restaurant in Houston (e.g. the Hamachi and some other appetizers), an aspect that could be improved slightly, however the focus is all on the taste and the right combination of ingredients.

    The hostess in the white dress with the flowers was loud, rude and abrasive and mostly not at all helpful. Had a birthday dinner scheduled for the restaurant and was rebuffed on my few questions. For yesterday’s lunch when I asked where I could sit was treated like this was a major issue - when the restaurant was pretty quiet. When I make inquires about a dinner reservation was bombarded by questions .. on the way out when I wanted to out in a request for the birthday dinner reservation the other hostess was polite and asked to hear where I wanted to sit - until the original hostess got back and loudly proclaimed that there were no guaranteed seats. I wasn’t asking for a guaranteed seat .. just wondering what the options were for my 65th. Donna was very gracious as always when I spoke to her about it … I’ve had many lovely lunches in the restaurant recently from the Escofffier society to best dressed and the symphony - but was really put off by this odd behavior. Don’t think we will be celebrating my birthday and will Not be coming back.
