It's a birthday dinner but no one ever came out to sign or no Cake. Food amazing will I come back idk
Food is not as good as it used to be. Ribs are NOT the best. Onion loaf was good. The rest, unremarkable.
Charging $14 for a salad that was the size of a small side salad will not get me back in the doors. Waikiki or not. Asked for a glass of house Merlot. Got charged $13. Waikiki or not. I got robbed. Will never return.
I had the Half rack BB Rib & Lobster tail and it was awesome! Our server was Joanne and she was amazing! She provided such incredible service that I’m definitely going back again!
Had to ask for a waitress after 20 minutes of being seated. Overpriced food for what was received. Ordered kickin shrimp appetizer, two kids meals that couldn’t be screwed up, a Caesar salad, lobster dinner, and seafood penne. The shrimp app was something out of the box and so-so, seafood penne had one scallop, two shrimp, and a half dozen of the clams about a dime size, but overall flavor was decent. The lobster was just okay, but slightly overcooked. Atmosphere is cool, but no chance we’ll be back for food orders.
Waiter was slow in taking order !
The people who brought the food out was slow he brought my wife food out first we were done with appetizers didn’t take finish plates off the table set my wife’s food down left came back with my food had nowhere to put my food down I had to move the plates he left earlier from the appetizers to make room for my plate that’s ridiculous . Then the waiter came back with bill took long to bring our change taught he went outside the restaurant It was a terrible experience I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go down
Order the smoked prime rib. It's the best prime rib I've ever had! It's flash seared on one side and has the sides crisped. I got mine medium rare. It rivals those of Ruth's Chris and Wolfgang Steakhouse.
Delicious food, and wonderful service. Would highly recommend this restaurant and ask for 2nd level tables. It's a bit more quiet there and the ambiance is nice.
The ribs were tender and the beer was cold. It was just the thing. The service was gracious and attentive.
I started with a Kona Brewing Big Wave, my favorite Kona beer. Then I ordered the Salmon that came with a creamy mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Paired with the Drumheller cabernet, it was fantastic!
Food was Applebee’s quality for the most part but some of the dishes were better than others. Ribs and chicken were not the best, nothing to write home about but they were ok. Very few menu selections at this time.
Old fashioned ribs from the old days! Will not disappoint! Delicious!
Great place. Great time. Makes me contemplate living in Waikiki.
Glad to find a Tony Roma’s while on vacation! Great service, good food..can’t beat that onion loaf!!
Great waitress and food!
The ribs, kickin shrimp, and the potato soup were amazing. They were so good we came back a couple days later to have it again. It came out hot and we didn’t have to wait long for the food at all. And the price was right. Highly recommend.
Excellent food, excellent happy hour
Came out cold
Everything was awesome especially customer service
Good food and Awesome service. They even gave me a Birthday Dessert! Mahalo Nui Loa keep up the good work!
Went there for ribs. Sadly it seems like the ribs are an afterthought here. The focus is one the Fire Grill side of the house. Ribs were okay, not lip-smacking, lick your fingers good like they used to be. My son had the prime rib which he enjoyed. Sorry, but not worth the prices.
Our server, Raina was amazing. Explained the menu in detail and offered her recommendations too! Definitely coming back, 16oz Prime Rib, OMG!!!!
Great place to go for Happy Hour. Great staff and ambiance.
Its an excellent place for a first day or any occasion.
Skip TR Fire Grill and go somewhere else. This place has an incredible identity crisis. After being seated, the waiter immediately explained that TR Fire Grill is NOT Tony Roma's. Even though the sign says it is and it is advertised, the waiter wanted us to explicitly know that we are not at Tony Roma's. He did inform us that a few of the menu items are Tony Roma's items. The other items on the menu (really just prime rib) are from the Fire Grill restaurant. The message we took away was that the local Tony Roma's closed and Fire Grill took on some of the menu items but they arent very good and Tony Roma's is beneath what the Fire Grill was (unsuccessfully) trying to achieve.
Regardless, we ordered. Mostly ribs and prime rib. The Tony Roma's ribs were dry and lacking sauce. No extra was offered. The prime rib was the most bizarre dining experience I've ever witnessed. After all the ribs were served, the waiter had the entire table put down whatever they were doing and to "wait and observe the prime rib". It was like we were anticipating the opening act of a circus. "Wait for it". "Get ready, its coming out". Finally, the freak show begins as the prime rib is paraded through the restaurant on a slab of cut tree (yes a 2 inch thick piece of tree), covered in a glass dome that is filled with smoke. The plate is put ceremonially on the table and the cover lifted to reveal, tah dah, a dissipating cloud of smoke and, alas, a hunk of prime rib on the plate. Two things I hate in my prime rib... being grilled (after roasting) and being smoked. This had excessive amounts of both.
Sooooo... TR Fire Grill. You are exactly right. You are no Tony Roma's. You cant even do Tony Roma's ribs correctly. Their dry and sauceless. And what you think is so amazing is more of a freak show than any kind of quality dining experience. No wonder you were grasping at straws and took on part of the Tony Roma's menu.
The food was very good but the ambiance of a portion of the restaurant was undesirable. Wait staff was great although it felt like our finished plates were left on our table for the entire portion of the meal.
The ribs were soft and tasty as I remembered them. The onion loaf wasn’t as large as I remember. Service was great.
Baby back ribs were good but not enough sauce on them...coleslaw wasn't too cold or crispy...fries were really good with their special seasoning!
Great service. GREAT FOOD. Plus, they were able to get us in and out in 45 minutes to catch our airport transfer.
Food was good; a little pricey like everything else in Honolulu. Waiter did not tell us kitchen was closing and would not check to see if our requested dessert was still available. Instead, he directed us to another place that was no longer serving, either.
It was good!
The smoked prime rib!! Yes! More please
Food and service were excellent
We’re new, but we’re trying? Locals, don’t bother, we only serve tourists? I wanted to like this place! We showed up on time for our 5:45pm reservation and were promptly sat. Took a good 3-4 minutes but we got water. Then several more minutes and I was joking about calling the host stand to request a server when ours finally showed up. Given the obvious slow service, we went ahead and ordered a bottle of wine, shrimp cocktail and full rack of ribs. Wow the shrimp cocktail took forever and they put the shrimp in shrimp! Granted they do not claim it is a jumbo shrimp cocktail so at least no false advertising. Our ribs took even longer. They arrived a full 50-55 minutes after we sat down. Tables sat and ordered after us, but got their meals before us. Checked in on us once while we ate. When he cleared the plates I asked for a 2nd wet nap. They only gave 1 wet napkin to 2 people sharing ribs. He then proceeded to go to his other tables, the kitchen and everywhere but to bring an extra wet napkin. Eventually he did, but it was no longer necessary as I had already poured water on my cloth napkin. This would be a 1 star review if I wasn’t just in a good mood to be out on a date night with my hubby.
It was my daughter’s birthday and we had a great table with great service and great food.
The food was excellent! Service was kinda slow for a restaurant at half capacity. Our server had too many tables to be attentive.
The servers are under staffed but work really hard to make sure our dining experience was good.
Fast and the best staff ever. The food was simply delicious. From being seated to receiving my food the wait was short and food delicious.
Very respective of my family's occasion. Enjoyed the dinner.
The food and service were excellent
