                                                          Food was great, despite waiting over 20 minutes for a cold app (caprese) to come out. Service left a lot to be desired, showed up slightly early for a reservation and tried to check in so we could wait outside for our table to be ready, they told us to come back and check in at our reservation time, okay sure. Came back 15 minutes later to do so, they didn’t check us in early prior and the hostess acted like we’d never spoken. At our reservation time our table still wasn’t ready and we were told ‘come back in 5 minutes’ and truly how many times do we have to check in for a reservation? Finally we’re checked back in a third time and sat. They filled our waters and there was something floating in my husbands water cup. We tried to stop the wait staff about it kept getting rebuffed, and eventually gave up. At this point my husband wanted to leave, but I had heard amazing things about the food and really wanted to believe things would turn around. Finally ordered (we placed both our courses at once) and waited for our food. And waited. And waited. Watching people seated after us have hot apps hit their table. The caprese and cacio e pepe were delicious, the meatballs were just okay for something touted as award winning, but being treated like a nuisance when we made a reservation made everything taste pretty bitter. I hope it was just a one off, but the last meal of our anniversary vacation going so poorly was a bummer.

The atmosphere is warm and charming—perfect for a relaxed night out—and every dish is full of rich, homemade flavor. A true hidden gem!

                                                          The best Italian meal I have had in a very long time. Service was exceptional, fantastic selection of Italian staples, and beautiful outdoor seating. My boyfriend has been to Italy multiple times and was very pleased.

                                                          Great little restaurant hidden in town. A little cramped in the basement if you get seated down there, but it’s a good excuse to make friends. Food was great, and very central to town.
