Not that great - food was frozen previously and cold in the middle. Slow service.
Outstanding service and great dining experience. Total hidden gem.
Excellent meal! We will be back when in N Boston.
Overcooked pasta @an Italian restaurant is a big NO… None of the other dishes was outstanding to say the least, expected far more from a restaurant rated so high online.
HORRIBLE. We waited at the table for at least 15min without being greeted. Then we placed our order (an app and two mains) as we knew we’d have to wait forever again. Then we learned, 20min later, that the app was no longer available so they would comp another app. We ordered something that could be quick since we were hungry. 20 min later, still nothing. So we left because it had been nearly an hour since we arrived (our table was late) and we had to eat.
I don’t blame the server. There was 1 person for the whole outside.
Won’t be back.
Exactly what we were looking for when visiting the North End. Great food. Outstanding service. This is one of those places that you tell your friends about with enthusiasm.
I had high hopes for Tony and Elaine's. We went on a Friday night, and it was definitely a college crowd. Very noisy. A young couple came out of the single bathroom, I assume they were hooking up in there. Not the restaurants fault, just trying to show the kind of crowd that is there on the weekends. Food was meh. We got mozzarella sticks, meatballs, garlic bread, chicken parm and chicken marsala. I will say the marsala was delicious. I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Everything else was just ok. Also, we weren't aware there was no alcohol, just beer and wine. Which was fine by me, but my husband was disappointed. I wouldn't visit again, although I would get takeout for the marsala alone.
Great food and great service. I will be coming back here next time i am in boston.
Great food! We made a reservation and were able to be seated early as well. The server was very sweet and promptly brought food and refilled our waters. We especially loved the prices for the high quality meal, considering other places nearby were a pretty penny. Highly recommend!
Food was awesome, staff was great. Play list was the best!!!
Kinda un-Italian. I haven’t felt this rushed before. We we’re in and out within an hour. We were only half way through our appetizer before our entrees arrived. That’s not Italian and it wasn’t busy at all. So, it was frustrating and not sure I’d go back. Food was good - lasagna was delicious.
love it love it love it love it love it love it love it
Nice atmosphere, amazing service, meal was delicious, prices were reasonable. Just go already!
Usually we go here all the time but this time it was horrible. The noise was so loud I couldn’t hear my own thoughts, they sat us at a small table in the middle of the server area/next to the stairs. The server was nice but I sat there for 40 mins without water. Food was average and their food is ALWAYS amazing, so I’m unsure what happened this time. I just wanted to leave the second we got there.
Always a reliable experience and I always come away satisfied. 5/5!
They were very nice and accommodating. The outdoor seating in the courtyard was pleasant. Had a great time and would definitely visit again.
What a cool place. My favorite restaurant meatballs ever! Enjoy!
Had a great meal here. Superb service too.
The menu is limited, which to me is a big plus, as I don't need to sort through pages of items. The spaghetti and meatballs are delicious, so is the Marsala. The waitstaff was super attentive. And the outdoor patio is a treasure. Simply decorated, but beautiful and peaceful.
Tony & Elaine's never disappoints! Great food with a fun, retro/old school Italian restaurant vibe. I come here often and working my way through the menu. Highly recommend for all occasions - date night, dinner with friends/family
Absolutely delicious food. The cannolis for dessert were also great
Dinner before the Eagles concert. Had a fantastic time!
We had very basic meals, rigatoni alla vodka sauce and spaghetti and meatballs garlic bread appetizer. The meals were very tasty, The portions were good the prices were fair.
The Chicken on my chicken parm was way over cooked, the waitress never checked back with us in a timely manner, so i just ate it, also I’ve never been to an Italian restaurant where they didn’t offer Parmesan cheese at the table. I know there’s staffing shortages everywhere but burnt chicken should not leave the kitchen.
The food, service and ambiance was fine.
Good food, good service. We especially liked the Caprese Salad.
Amazing food, egg plant parm was the best. Converted parking area turned outdoor seating made for an awesome date night spot. Young guy seemed to be waiting on the entire outdoor area—his service was amazing. Definitely would come back.
An instantly recognizable vibe. Simple menu with everything you want and nothing you don't. Each dish hits just right. Would definitely return.
Food is AMAZING, but we happened to go on one of the hottest days of the year and the restaurant was too hot especially since we were sat on the lower level.
Delicious classic Italian comfort food. Warm and welcoming staff. A must go!
Delicious Italian in an unpretentious atmosphere. Perfect for families, friends and dinner dates.
Very good food and service although restaurant is small and not very romantic seating (very close to other tables). Will be coming back anyways!
A little bit on the edge of the North End, but terrific classic Italian American food and they were extremely accommodating of our children - seating us at the back of the garden where we wouldn’t disrupt other diners, bringing the kids food out early, and providing a generous pour of the house red!
Our favorite secret spot in North End. Delicious. Service incredible. Shhhhh…if people knew how good it was, the line would be out the door!
We made reservations fir our one night in Boston filling Red Sox game. It was excellent! Best eggplant parm and mozzarella sticks. Our server was so polite and all of the staff worked so hard. Great spot and I’ll go back next time I’m in town!
So delicious and loved the ambiance!
Good food, but their air conditioning was broken. They could have let us know so we could have rescheduled. Too hot to really enjoy. Great garlic bread though. Real downside is only two wines by the glass - a house white and a red. So, you're forced into buying a bottle.
I had 7PM reservations for two people and after being seated outside in their outdoor eating area adjacent to the restaurant we waited and waited, but no one ever came to our table. I got up and filled our glasses with water after 15 minutes and after 30 minutes and watching waitstaff serve the three other tables, when one server walked by I looked him in the face and said “excuse me” twice and despite him looking right at me he just ignored me and kept walking. The woman at the next table looked at me in the same amount of disbelief that he had really been that rude. We got up and left after being ignored for 30+ minutes. I’ll never go back.
In short, great food and very poor wine by the glass selection.
