Disappointing anniversary dinner…. I ordered sand dabs, which would’ve been good but it was served with a dead bug on top :-( When I showed our waiter , he replied “oh sorry” The drinks for the price were so so. They had a funky taste . Not sure if it was the tequila that they used or the prickly pear syrup all in all for the price would not recommend or return!

The waitress whose table we were assigned to (name of Mary) was so rude and unfriendly that we asked to be moved to another table. I am 86 years old with a service dog and Mary obviously didn't like dogs. My dog weighs 80 lbs and Mary said she needed to be underneath the table. The 2 seater table was so small my friend and I could barely fit our legs under it, let alone an 80 lb dog. There is a nice way of communicating and a nasty way, and she certainly portrayed the latter. When I spoke to the manager about this he didn't seem to care either.

Lower patio has the best views of the mountains and golf coarse. Temps were perfect. Dinners were outstanding, excellent waitstaff. Clean surroundings, a pleasurable experience. Will return for sure. Oops, excellent corn chowder.

Phil was a very attentive and personable waiter and the food was great. My Manhattan was great! We each had a salad (me-Harvest, him-Cobb) that was wonderful followed by medium rare filets with asparagus and mashed potatoes. There was ample food to the point that I was glad we passed on appetizers tonight and I still brought home half of my filet and potatoes! Because it was my birthday they brought me a beautiful plater with a little chocolate mousse cake and a lit candle in a raspberry. Such a cute presentation! Because we were already full, it was perfect to have a few bites of chocolate and call it an evening. Very good meal. Tonto is my favorite local restaurant! Thank you!

Sat outside. I love their patio. Started with the baguette, outstanding and the soft butter made it all the better. I had the NY Strip, medium. Excellent. Potatoes and broccoli pretty average and not a lot of flavor. My wife had the scallops. Large, tender, cooked to perfection. The service here is always outstanding. This is one of our favorite places to take people visiting from out of town. Tonto never disappoints.

As always, the staff were wonderful on our recent visit to Tonto Bar & Grill. We enjoyed the chowder, the sanddabs (which were happily prepared differently due to our allergies), and a great dessert. This has been one of our favorite places for years, for a good reason - it is always excellent.

Went for the first time during restaurant week. Our server was amazing and there was never a dirty dish left on our table the entire meal. We tried the crab cake appetizer as well as the compressed salad. Both were delicious. The main course was also amazing. We tried the salmon (cooked perfectly) as well as the short ribs that were tender enough to cut with your fork. Dessert was also stellar. We tried the brownie as well as the tart. To be honest, the tart is still in my refrigerator because we were so full from dinner I could not possibly take another bite. The cucumber jalapeño cucumber margarita's were good and spicy, but I would have loved to see some real jalapeño bits floating in there too (just a personal preference). All in all 10/10 and will be back.

As our waitress was serving our cocktails, she knocked over a glass of red wine, much of which ended up on my daughter’s back. She brought us a napkin with soda water to try to get it out then handed us a card with a manager’s info and said to bring back the dry cleaning receipt. I understand that accidents happen. But no one came to our table to talk to us and nothing was comped. Really? My daughter was uncomfortable the entire meal and the only reason we didn’t get up and leave was that we had out of town guests with us. And WE have to be inconvenienced by driving out of our way with a receipt? Not to mention they ran out of quite a few menu options that night. We will never go back.

We started with a wonderful Calamari appetizer, and split a Cobb Salad that was especially good. For an entree she had the Walleye and I had the Giant Scallops Special. Both were top notch, It was our anniversary and they brought us a dessert of a small Chocolate Mousse. So good we also tried the Creme Brule. We have come here for our anniversary for the last 5 years and always look forward to the special occasion which we do not usually splurge on, but entirely worth it,

We had a total party of 7 with 4 of us who have been to Tonto before and the other 3 in our party had never been. They were looking for a great and uniquely Arizona place and Tonto did not disappoint. They were happy from the appetizers (hummus, 3 sisters guac and chips, calamari) to the entrees (schnitzel, filet, yakisoba pasta). The old timers got their favs (filet, yakisoba, new york strip, and salmon). Of course it would not have been a true dining experience with out adding the prickly pear meringue tart, prickly pear creme brulee, cheesecakes and gelatos!! Magnificent.

We had a fun family birthday celebration at Tonto on Friday night. Our server, Rose, was awesome. She recommended the butter fish and it was delicious. We enjoyed our time dining inside where the entire group had a delicious meal and dessert too. We will definitely return soon.

My husband and I have fallen in love with this place. I totally love their golden corn chowder, their four seed baguette and their compressed arugala salad. We treated ourselves to the AZ Diller Orange Cheesecake. It was totally to die for!!!
