   In February we made reservations for dinner at 5:00, Wednesday, March 13. at Tonti's. After walking to the ferry (several miles), and crossing over to Algiers Point, walked further to Tonti's. It was closed, permanently closed. So, disappointed (had been there 2 years ago for which visit I would give it 5 stars all around), we returned to the French Quarter to eat elsewhere. My question is this: why did we receive a confirmation, and no notice it had closed?

   Sadly Tonti’s is closed for good as of earlier this week. A neighborhood jewel gone😢

   Took our reservation for 6 people and then, after getting there, see that the restaurant was closed. No call, no text no nothing. Drove 30 minutes with a big group just to find a shuttered restaurant. Incompetent and irresponsible management. Do not trust them at all. They have no idea what they are doing.

   Overall, we had a good experience. The champagne was not the best, the bar was limited and they didn’t have ketchup. Our server, Joshua, was understanding and attentive. He advised us that the place may be closing permanently soon. I hope that isn’t the case because the location and the vibe are charming and the food was good. We had the steak burger with fries. Stronger marketing might increase the number of patrons. I’d hate to see Algiers lose this nice little cafe.

   We had a wonderful evening celebrating a couple of family members birthdays. Great service, food & ambience. Always enjoy our time at Tontis!

   What a great hidden little gem in old Algiers. The restaurant was adorable, the service was on point and the food was outstanding. I would put this place up against any of the big boys on the east bank. It was our first time there and we will DEFINITELY be back!!!!

   The onion soup has been altered and resembled dirty dishwater rather than the bowl of delish that we knew and loved along with a non-memorable rest of the meal. Likely to not return.

    The atmosphere was wonderful we were celebrating a birthday  the waiter was not great at all. He was nice, but I don't know why we ordered a bowl of onion soup and ask her to come out and never came out. We asked him several times. He never brought it out the chicken we ordered the three plates of the chicken one was raw one just couldn't eat theirs and the other one was just OK. The salad we ordered. It was not good the burgers, my 13 year old, never before not ate his burger. He did not eat his burger the sprite. The drinks was missing carnation. We told them they kept bringing us out the same drinks in which charge for them. I spent $128. Have the food would've been good. I wouldn't have not been a bad price we left food at the table. We did not pay for the raw chicken plate, but we paid for everything else. Sorry to say will not be going back there cause I thought the place was really adorable and had her great things about it.
