   Well this place is good and we would definitely go back. The customer service was fine and the waitresses was very kind. She gave us some recommendations from the menu which we thought were helpful. The food was on point for any ramen place. The parts that I felt might be difficult was the noise level being pretty loud. The drinks were lacking some we didn’t even finish one. It was also very cold and I wished I had brought a sweater the whole time.

   Laidback and almost too casual. service was ok. I think the inside is too cold that your food don't even feel hot enough when served. Very nice people, but too low energy for me.

   We enjoyed our meals very much and the staff was friendly and helpful. We thought the water tasted off and the air conditioning was pretty cold. Overall, we would definitely go back.

   The food was really good and serving size was nice. We had reservations but they ended up putting us upstairs in the bar. Being our first time there we didn’t know better than to ask to stay in the dining room, but really wished we had. The music that was pretty loud was not very family friendly and the ambience not really what we were looking for. Another obnoxious thing about being upstairs was the kids drinks didn’t come with a refill- simply because we were upstairs- even our waiter commented on how it made no sense. Overall we enjoyed the meal and will visit again, but in the dining room.

   Was pretty good. Did not blow me away by any means. Ramen bowl was quite tasty, fried chicken app was excellent. I would avoid the chicken wings or at least ask for them crispy as the ones we got were mush. Drinks took longer that I felt they should have considering there were only 2 other tables downstairs. I'd say overall it was pretty good but not great. Server was very friendly and attentive. Also, if you don't eat pork this may not be the best option as most of the non vegetarian things have pork as the protein.

    Great food and cocktails!! I love the lychee-mosa, so refreshing and not too bubbly. I get the Japanese fried chicken ramen each time, it is so great!!

    Food was pretty good. Service was poor. My wife has a gluten allergy. The server was not attentive to the details of our order to ensure her safety. We looked up several times to find him on his cell phone behind the bar with his coworker. Would like to have had what was valuable to us reciprocated. All in all. It wasn’t a bad experience but it could have been better for us a couple on a date. Thank you. 🙏🏾

    beautiful location with seating up or down stairs, server was great and attentive, he even suggested a great sake which my dining companion and i thoroughly enjoyed, the Ramen itself was one of the best i've had, the meat so soft it melted in my mouth, the noodles cooked to perfection and the broth, something so simple brought delight to my palate. We ended our meal with the mochi doughnuts which were hot and gooey, with just the right amount of sauce.

    I wasn’t blown away by our experience, but it wasn’t a bad dinner spot. One of our bowls came out pretty lukewarm. The shishito peppers needed some type of glaze / sauce, as they were pretty bland. The pork buns were great!

    The food at Tonbo was absolutely amazing!! We are excited to come back and bring our friends. We loved the atmosphere, the restaurant smelled great, and the ramen was top notch. Also loved the pork buns. Wow!! Thank you for a great meal!

    Disappointed in this restaurant. Expected more authentic ramen since this is their specialty but no such luck. Limited menu, few options for those with shellfish allergy, and not accommodating. Would not recommend or go there again.

    Wish we had known they were closing at 8:30 when I made a 7:30 reservation. Felt like we were “keeping them” from leaving. Took extra long time to get drink order (it was not that busy) and then hubby got his food a good 4-5 minutes before my son & I did.

    First time at Tonbo Ramen. The downstairs area had a much more casual atmosphere, whereas upstairs had a more romantic ambiance. Strangely, the stairway leading from one area to the next had a very strong putrid odor (bad b.o.). Once inside the upstairs area, it was not noticeable, though. The lighting was very low, and it was difficult to see our food. The service was laid back, yet attentive. The ramen itself was very good, but not the best I have had.

    Quick to be seated. Rather noisy (due to screaming kids) but to no fault of the restaurant. Kitchen out of a lot of items, so we stuck with ramen. Ramen wasn't the best I've ever had but it was a good, solid broth with plenty of noodles. Soup spoons provide were good for the broth but too deep to eat the toppings well. Will eat here again if in the downtown Raleigh area. Walking distance from Duke Energy Performing Arts Center.

    Everything was delicious at Tonbo. They seem to be a little understaffed, so it won’t be a quick in-out visit but it’s worth your patience. I got the Shoyu ramen with a chili bomb and it was amazing. The egg was perfectly cooked, the meat and dumplings were tender, and the broth was delish. I also had the cucumber appetizer which was a cool, fresh addition next to the hot soup. The strawberry-mosa was great as well. The dragonfly was good but a bit sweet. The bartender/server Sage was the highlight. He is so charming and personable. He handled the entire top floor alone, and an equally busy girl was running the lower floor. Kudos to both! Someone who I’m assuming was the owner was also lending a hand and very kind.

    Was very disappointed with our experience at this Roman location. All the things we order off the menu thing that was really good was the pork steam bun. The Ramen so that we ordered were disappointing due to under developed broth. Seafood that was on the seafood Ramen tasted as if it came from a freezer pack mix Seafoods, which gave an overpowering seafood smell did not have the taste of freshness.
