Toklas opened in October 2021 and serves a Meditteranean menu from the freshest seasonal produce. The dishes make use of an open grill, and include plenty of choice for pescatarians and vegetarians. The weekly changing menu can be viewed on our website.

The dining room has an open kitchen, parquet floors, Mid-century Scandinavian chairs, and a large bar. Toklas has a large planted terrace, with beautiful views of the neighbouring victorian buildings and a glimpse of the river Thames.

Toklas has been grateful to receive many positive reviews from major critics. Jay Rayner wrote in the Guardian 'The menu, is simply a set of great ingredients, presented to the very best of their advantage… No wheels are reinvented, you are just fed very well.' Fay Maschler said 'The quiet, refined simplicity of Toklas with its excellent cocktails, well-curated wine list and expert cooking is in fact that very thing that makes it sing.'

Friendly service, pleasant mid-century modern surroundings, useful location, and tasty food - the only real complaint being it was a little bit more money than it felt like it should be.
