I thought the food was really good, delicious, and high quality. However, the service was absolutely shocking when we went. There were 5 waiters and a manager. The manager mostly served us, but he misheard what we ordered and gave us food we did not order. It was really expensive to eat there, so I expected the service to be insanely good. But it was the complete opposite, especially considering it was a quiet Monday evening. Also, I asked for the bill and we waited for 20 minutes to get it, yet no one gave it to us. So, we had to ask another waiter to give us the bill. Suggestions on how to improve the service: - The waiters and the manager should read out what we ordered to double check that it is correct, and they send it to the kitchen - avoids any mistakes - They focus on serving the diners and not preparing tables for the next day, to avoid us waiting for 20 minutes after I asked for the bill Overall, the food was delicious; props to the chef for making good-quality food. The service was shockingly disappointing. The overall restaurant is overpriced if the service is bad. Hence, I suggest improving it to make the overall experience better for diners.

Located in the ground floor of a beautiful boutique luxury hotel near Marble Arch. Exquisite setup, not crowded, and the food was amazing. Shared several different plates (edamame, lobster croquettes, tuna hosomaki, shrimp tempura and the miso cod (the best). Will surely go back when in London.

Food was top quality, only let down by the shambolic comedy of errors service we received. It took an age for our initial drinks to arrive, the waiting staff just did not seem to know what they were doing. Such a shame, since the food was excellent.

A good twist on a traditional afternoon tea with Japanese flavour. I would even go to say it was inoffensive in Japanese flavours. Could have done with more wasabi and more savoury options rather than 8 different sweet treats and scones on top. The bread on the sandwiches was beginning to dry out by the time we took the first mouthful. Staff were polite and attentive and it was a very relaxed experience, albeit a cold temperature in the restaurant. Was a good experience.

Was given the Omakase experience as gift and the food was incredible! The Japanese chefs cooking the Omakase explained each dish they served in detail and they provided a great experience. Unfortunately, the table waiters also served some of the experience. They had no idea what was being served, just dumped it on the table and walked away. They also couldn’t explain how many courses there were (11) or which one we were up to. Only when we finished did we find out that the 5 small pieces of sushi were counted as 5-courses… After ‘11 courses’ we left hungry… The Omakase experience also included a whisky highball. When we got the bill it broke down the food and drink - somehow the whisky was £28 each… wtf. Also ordered a glass of wine and despite only 10-15 people in the restaurant at the time, the three waiters took 15mins to pour them… asked the 12.5% ‘optional’ service charge to be taken off and they were surprised… idiots. Feel bad for the Japanese chefs. Amazing food 100% worth the £ but left down by poor management, an outrageously priced drink and ignorant table waiters. Advice - go for the food only. Everything else is a waste of time and money.

Chef Kazuyo was a truly phenomenal teacher! It was so amazing to learn from her expertise and be so hands on with making different types of sushi rolls. Very clear and intimate as we were a small group, so it made learning easy. Being able to eat what we made after, with some sparkling sake, really topped off the experience perfectly. Would definitely recommend!

With high expectations of a quality afternoon tea experience with Japanese fusion, especially the niche of having matcha scones, I thought the food quality can be better. The scones are not up to scone standard because one of the matcha scones were not fully cooked through because the middle of is very dense. However, the Japanese delicacies and pistachio green tea cake and yuzu delicacies were superb. In addition, there were loud noise coming out from the kitchen during our visit and this could also be improved as well to better the ambiance

Absolutely amazing sushi masterclass experience! Jhun was a brilliant host, very funny and patient. We received this sushi masterclass as a Christmas present, so we traveled to London solely for this experience and it did not disappoint! The amount of sushi we ate was unbelievable and we were also given a complimentary bottle of sake. I would highly recommend this experience!!

We did the Sushi making masterclass on a Saturday afternoon, which was amazing! Our itamae - Masa was brilliant, very clear and informative. So much fun making sushi and maki rolls. Then delicious eating our creations at the end presented with a glass of sparkling Saki. Highly recommended! Birthday treat for my husband. 5 stars great value for money!
