"See and be seen" place but the food is the star. Peope line up for breakfast here for a reason and the waits on weekends can be very long. But you can spend the time people watching--it's popular with local celebs.

Somebody screwed up, either open table or toast. We arrived for a reservation and found them closed! I feel somebody should’ve called us and notified us that they were not open! Whose responsibility was it? Toast or open table. Many times when you make a reservation with OpenTable you don’t go into the restaurants website so you are assuming that the reservation is made and the restaurant is open. We were very disappointed and disgusted with with the way this was handled!

Interesting menu with some nice options, good spot for lunch. Avacado toast is great as it tomato soup with grilled cheese. Nice salads. Reasonably priced. Miss ratatouille dish that used to be on the menu. That was one of best things I’ve had there. Hope they roll bring it back. Also more healthy, lower calorie options would be nice.

I’ve eaten here before for brunch and it was great, but the dinner menu is very limited and their “special” when I ate there with my husband on a Friday night (crab cakes over greens) was poor and a waste of money. Value was just not there - if you are going to put crab cakes on a menu, do them right! We left feeling hungry because neither of us wanted to finish the dish. Recommend this place focus on brunch/lunch and not try to please a discerning dinner crowd. It might work elsewhere, but not Birmingham. And not for the prices they charge. All that said, service was great and decor is fun. But the place was empty on a Friday night - perhaps another sign we made a bad choice in restaurant for date night.

The food isn't that great but the ambiance and location is worth the higher prices for breakfast. I had the Plain Jane French Toast. It was ok.

This is our favorite place to catch breakfast when we’re in town from Dallas. Maya was AWESOME, very attentive and friendly. I always get the beet omelette but I got the spicy California this time. Sooo good! Cinnamon challah toast, mimosas, bloody marys... all awesome!

People who go for dinner on sundays should be aware that the dinner menu is the BREAKFAST menu. Very disappointing as there was no way to know that from their web site.
