About this restaurant

Tivoli bar is San Diego's oldest dive bar. Established in 1885, it is known for its selection of spirits and cocktails, draft and imported or local beer to patrons. Interestingly, the name "Tivoli"spells "I love it"backwards. Pictures of famous actors, major league ball players, patrons, employees and former owners serve as Tivoli bar memorabilia. It has a classic ambiance and atmosphere which it owes to its old school décor and artwork. Wyatt Earp and his wife Josie were the most famous patrons of Tivoli Bar and their portraits hang at the bar entrance. There is an old school juke box that plays eclectic tunes for patrons to enjoy. When San Diego Padres (Home team) are playing, patrons can also enjoy the game on the TV at the bar with friends. The entrées at the bar are mostly barbecue that are provided by Johnny Jensen's catering and barbecue.
