   We had a wonderful dinner! The server was excellent and the food and ambiance is always so lovely. We always try to have dinner here when we are in town and recommend the place to others.

   Waiter had zero personality. Told us the specials and then said he better go check in case something had changed. Seriously, our reservation was at 5:15 we were the only table in the room at the time with guests. He never asked any of the ladies at the table if we cared for another glass of wine, however he did ask the gentlemen. Just crazy! Never was offered coffee after dinner, even tho he did offer dessert. My husbands steak was involved in an “incident on the stairs” (thats how it was stated to us) and unfortunately he had to wait and watch while the rest of ate and they made him another ribeye. They took his meal off the bill which was at their discretion, we did not ask and that was very good of the manager. It was less than par and we were slightly disappointed as we did have a guest with us that had never been there before.

   Our waiter was outstanding and did a great job catering to our needs. The food was good, but not great for the price. My wife ordered a steak medium, but it came back rare. The center was dark red and unappetizing to her. My ribeye was cooked as requested, but had a lot of fat in it. Was not expecting a Ruths Chris quality steak, but better then I received from the kitchen.

   Tippecanoe Place is a lovely restaurant. We have enjoyed many wonderful holiday lunches and business lunches here as well as 2 baby showers. I will always recommend this restaurant . It is special. We had a birthday lunch for 4 there yesterday. The food was tasty but the service was just fair. It was almost empty at Noon but it took us longer than expected to get our food...longer than it takes at Christmas when the place is packed! The good thing is we had a chance to talk so it didn't make a whole lot of difference. Our server was pleasant and helpful when asked a couple questions. All in all, it was a nice lunch and enjoyable as well.

   We enjoyed the Sunday brunch this past week. We arrived for our 1:00 pm reservations and were seated in the solarium. The food was excellent-second to none. We felt like royalty in the service we were given in all areas. The only small negative would be the dessert selection. But, all in all, it was a very enjoyable Sunday brunch.

    Love it, but I would visit more often if they were more reasonable on their prices.
