Hit or miss. Dinner is a solid miss. I ordered the “low country boil” and it was very bland-akin to shoe soup-, but our appetizer, crab meat dip, was delish. The atmosphere could be very nice, but access to the beach makes it easy for beach goers who cut through the restaurant in order to get to the water’s edge. Incidentally, we did return for breakfast. The buffet was amazing. And interruptions were limited due to the time of day.

My party of two arrived on time, if not slightly early and the host was very pleasant and sat us right away. My waiter Allen did not introduce himself until 15min later without water, we already knew what we wanted to order so we gave him our requests to include the beverages together, he did not show up to check on us the entire 45 min duration and as time went by I had to chase him down to remind him of our waters, I also had to retrieve my own plates from the bar that I asked for, from sit down to food on the table 40min had gone by. Overall his lack of communication and attentiveness led us to the conclusion that we should just leave. The food was good, the views were great but the service overshadowed any enjoyable moment we were having.

Given that I chose this location based upon their having recently upscaled from the former Tin Cup Beach Bar to what was expected to be closer to a 4-5 star dining experience, I was very disappointed. The service and food was good, but our table for two was adjacent to the patio access door, which was okay, except the door was more/also used constantly by Delta Hotel beach goers without shirts and shoes (carrying all of their beach gear to include one umbrella that knocked me in the head) which was quite frankly a health issue. There was a marked beach access path for beach goers that went around the restaurant, but that simply was ignored and the restaurant staff did nothing to stop the traffic flow. I mentioned my displeasure to the manager, who clearly acknowledged the issue, but basically did nothing to stop the problem. Not worth the $100 tab…Nope, won’t be going back.

Food was good and ambience was very nice. Service was extremely poor. Our waiter never checked on us. We couldn’t even get more water or drinks. My sandwich was not correct and no one acknowledged it and someone else brought out a new one. I was charged $12 for a side of macaroni and cheese, which I thought was quite ridiculous. For the amount of money we spent and it being a Marriott property, I would have expected better service.

The food was good but they only had one waiter working. Several people standing around the host stand, while one guy was waiting tables both inside and outside AND he was busting the tables. The manager came by to talk to us and apologized for the wait, she asked if we needed something while we waited. We asked for water, she then yelled to the one guy working to get us water(who was cleaning tables), while several others including herself weren’t doing anything. Our reservation was at 11:30a for brunch. We came back for drinks around 10p, the same one waiter was STILL working. Besides them overworking that one guy, the bartenders and the food were good.

This was me and my family’s first time trying the restaurant. We were immediately impressed with the restaurant decor and the staff greeted us as soon as we entered. Our table was outside and the night air was so wonderful. The server was very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Food didn’t take too long to come out and we enjoyed each of our dishes. Highly recommend.
