My spouse and I are foodies from Sonoma, CA. We were referred to Tilth by a friend. What a great referral! The food was exceptional. This is not a touristy place with views of Seattle. Nor is it a trendy place to "be seen". There was almost no one there on a Thursday evening. It's all about the food at Tilth.
We had the tasting menu with pairings. What a great meal and good deal as well. The service was friendly and professional without being stuffy. The setting is a charming redo of a private home. Great soft jazz warmed the room. It was a wonderful evening. I highly recommend Tilth for discerning foodies!
We were at Tilth to celebrate my husband's 88th birthday. He loves to eat at Tilth, because he has a strong preference for organic food. We've eaten at Tilth several times, and we've never been disappointed. The service on this visit was just as perfect as always, and the food was delicious. Making the reservation was very easy.
Had a lovely brunch at Tilth, my second positive experience there. It's a beautiful space, very lively with lots of families, and the food is excellent. Has a casual vibe but also very elegant. The eggs benedict with pork belly is one of the yummiest benedicts I've ever had.
This was my first time to Tilth for brunch. I love the coziness of the home and the service was good, but I was disappointed with the food. The options seemed over priced, portions were small, and they weren't service very warm (I ordered the pre fix which included a quiche). I also didn't get a refill of my coffee until the very end of my meal. Overall, Tilth just missed the mark on this visit.
Great for a date night! We very much enjoyed the food, the decor, and the romantic ambiance. The vegetarian-friendly menu was perfect for my date. Delicious food!
Service was amazing and the food was even better. Had the 5 course tasting with the wine pairing, which was 100% gluten free. The perfect amount of food and one of he best meals I’ve ever had. Black bean soup was delicious. Loved the crab risotto. Will be back soon.
Staff was very friendly, service was quick, food was great.
Delightful tasting menu experience with excellent wine pairings.
We have eaten at Tilth many times for brunch and dinner. The creative menu and drinks never disappoint. We highly recommend this restaurant
Our whole experience was fantastic--food, ambiance, service, everything! We were delighted to find a discount had been applied for our special occasion. We really enjoyed our server, who helped us with a wine recommendation and tastes. It also felt great supporting a restaurant that emphasizes fresh, seasonal foods from local farmers and is POC-owned.
They've done a wonderful job of transforming the old house into a great restaurant space while preserving the cozy, home feeling. Excellent quality food in an unpretentious environment, both in terms of ambiance and staff. (I love food, but I'm on a budget and only go out for meals like this on rare occasion, so it was a relief to not feel uncomfortable in the environment.) We went in the evening; I'm sure this place is lovely and light-filled on a sunny day, not to mention that patio.
Last but not least, the food! The amuse-bouche bites were perfect, layered with so many intense flavors. We followed with several small plates to share, rather than the tasting menu or our own large dishes. I especially liked the trout, perfectly cooked and popping with flavor. The chocolate ganache cake we finished with was decadent, a deliciously indulgent finish.
Very pleased overall!
Tilth is a quaint restaurant tucked away in the heart of Wallingford, offering many dishes inspired using local, organic ingredients. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the pesto gnocchi which was nothing short of amazing and had the best cherry tomatoes I've ever tasted. Next time I would do the tasting menu to get the full Tilth experience.
We were celebrating two birthdays and had a toddler in tow. We felt so welcome by the wait staff that we lingered over dinner for over three hours and never once felt pressured to hurry up so they could turn the table. Everything from the cocktails to the dessert was creative and fresh and healthy and flavorful. We had been wanting to try Tilth for years and it did not dissapoint! We will definitely be back.
Intimate house setting, not too loud, delicious, local, vegan options.
Outstanding. We will return to celebrate with great food and intimate atmosphere again soon.
Excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Lovely atmosphere for a date.
This is our fourth time at this restaurant in the food has always been outstanding. The ambulance is great as it is quite enough to actually have a conversation with someone. In the summer you can dine outside on a small patio. Parking in this neighborhood is a challenge however.
Always delicious. Oh, how I love those pork cheeks. Especially appreciate how accommodating they are of my celiac diet. (Menu designates which items are or can be made gluten free; kitchen takes special care to not cross-contaminate allergens.) Servers are top notch and ultra professional. Ambiance is quiet and charming yet low key/casual. I've come here with dates, family, and dear friends and it's always a treat. Thank you, thank you. Can't wait to go back!
Fantastic meal and fantastic service! I will be coming back for sure!
The service was a joy and the food was great, as usual. We especially like the fact that the menu changes often and is always creative.
This is the best restaurant is the whole city. The food is next level, the service isn't stuffy, and the ambiance is on point! Get the tasting menus. Every time.
I always enjoy the creativity if tilth and they're willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. For brunch I ordered eggs Benedict and neither poached egg had runny yolk, one was almost totally solid and the whites had separated from the yolk. Not really the classic elegant presentation. The balance of hollandaise with the smoked salmon was a little too salty and could use something to cut the flavors. It was an almost well executed elegant brunch that fell just short of good.
Tried Tilth for the first time because my date has lots of dietary restrictions (no dairy, gluten or animal products except fish). The food was fantastic and so were the cocktails. Our favorite flavor was the cold zucchini soup. The Sablefish (black cod) was amazing as well. Service was pretty good as well and the ambiance is charming. We are definitely going back.
Great server very energetic/knowledgeable. I would've seated us farther from bathrooms as the restaraunt wasn't full at the time.
Everything was delicious. A little light on the portions for the price. Love the careful sourcing and imaginative combinations.
My best friend and I always do a special dinner before we go to the opera. We let our waitress know before we ordered that we needed to leave by a certain time and asked if we had time to the grand tasting with wine pairing. She made it happen! The food was outstanding, the wine pairings were perfect, and there is nothing we would have changed. Highly recommend!
I’ve been to Tilth before and it’s always a lovely experience. Both food and service are top notch! I’ll always come back!
The food was exquisite, both in presentation and taste.
Oyster mushrooms in barbecue sauce the only meal I would NOT recommend.
This was one of the best meals I have had in ages. Everything was fresh and bright. Wait staff was efficient and knowledgeable. We loved everything we ordered.
The food was good, but not as amazing as I expected it to be given the cost of the tasting menu
Tilth is reliably good. The food there is always made with locally sourced ingredients. We ate there on Sunday and all were pleased with their meal except me. I asked politely for regular syrup and was not given it. Instead, I got a strawberry one that tasted dreadful. I asked once more and still never got it. For that reason, I have docked them a star.
I never write these things, but for $40 the lamb was overcooked (although seasoned perfectly), and the wine by the glass choices stink for a wine list of that caliber.
Great food in a great setting. Really appreciate the wealth of delicious vegetarian options.
Tilth is one of the hidden gems in Seattle.
Definitely top three meals of our lives. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. Well worth the price. What a wonderful experience.
It’s quiet, we were seated immediately and there is a lot of care put into the food. Yogurt, quiche, tuna salad were all tasty. Cons - the service is extremely slow. Fine if you are lingering but still a little slow for us, considering how long our coffee was empty. My waffle was dry to borderline inedible. We will try one more time.
My mom and I shared a large summer squash salad, and two small plates: the pan roasted halibut, and the lamb loin. Each dish was absolutely fabulous; cooked to perfection and accompanied by sides and sauces that made the dishes sparkle with flavor. Best of all we still had room for dessert - and can highly recommend the Theo's chocolate cake and the strawberry shortcake. A fantastic dining experience.
Tilth is one of my favorite summer spots...especially in the courtyard! I love their fun interesting food!
We have never had a bad meal here. It’s always solid, delicious, seasonal and fresh. I took my husband here to celebrate a work milestone on a weekday and it was pleasantly quiet. Small note: We barely drink but did want a sip of wine and they were happy to accommodate us with a half glass.
