Outstanding, impeccable service. Excellent cocktails. Quiet, lovely atmosphere. Delightful meal.
Tilth is our go-to for special occasions. The food is amazing every single time, and the experience is intimate, warm, and interesting in the best way.
We come to Tilth often and are never disappointed. Our last visit, anniversary, did not disappoint. Steelhead trout was excellent as was the mushroom pasta. Desserts always please.
Professional service, food prep and presentation excellent. The telling truth of a superior dining experience is true body satisfaction. I continue to be a big fan.
The portions were kinda small for the price and one of the items listed on the menu was not in my dish
The waiter was amazing! Really knew his stuff, great attitude and very attentive.
I don't know how long Tilth has been around but I know it has been a while. Not sure why I had not dined here until now. As a vegetarian for most of my life I am often dinning out with people that aren't so perhaps that is part of the reason. My loss. My partner, who is gluten sensitive, and now embracing a plant based diet was celebrating her birthday and wanted to try someplace nice with a strong vegetarian menu. Tilth it is! We decided on the 5 course vegetarian tasting menu and it was excellent. At first you think the portions are small but soon realize that this is only because most places just serve too much food. We left feeling like we had just the right amount. Our favorite dish featured the Hen of the Woods mushrooms. The flavors were distinct, rich and savory. Wine and cocktails were also good. It was a quiet night so we enjoyed the extra attentive service. Dining at Tilth was a memorable experience we both enjoyed.
We always enjoy Tilth. We met friends there for dinner and while the food and service were wonderful, as always, the large party seated close to us were so loud it was hard for us to converse. I had never noticed before that all of the surfaces in the restaurant are hard and reflect the sound. Next rime, I'd ask to be seated away from any large parties. As many times as we have eaten there, we have never run into this before.
Food was good not great. Really loud interior. Server was a robot. Absolutely no personality. There are so many better options for brunch.
Fantastic food and large portions. 5 course tasting plus a cheese plate was very filling. Great high end dining in a casual atmosphere.
This is a charming place in an old Wallingford bungalow. The food is always amazing and service is attentive without being irritating.
Oh my! The vegetarian tasting menu was ah-mazing! Tilth consistently exceeds expectations. The only drawback is that the windows are drafty in the charming old house where it is located so request a table away from the wall or dress warmly. Totally worth it since the food is incredible.
Excellent food but very much overpriced. Thought the food was good but too expensive.
Wonderfully creative farm to table in a intimate environment. Many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free choices.
We were a party of 6 and it was work related. The noise volume was very low so conversation was easy and the server was excellent. He was mindful of the conversations going on, was helpful with the menu, and was very respectful. Several amuse bouche were served, one at the beginning and end of meal. It was very gracious and delicious.
Great food, loads of flavor, interesting, and not super heavy. We had a great time.
I loved the relaxed atmosphere! I was not sure what to expect when we made reservations for my birthday the experience was very nice. We chose to do the five course tasting menu the presentation of the food was absolutely gorgeous!! I would not recommend taking teens “the food is just to fancy, I mean it looks cool but I don’t like it.” -my 16 year old sister. Overall wa had a fantastic dinner and would definitely recommend Tilth to friends.
Friend’s birthday.
We enjoyed our dining experience at Tilth and would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional fine dining experience. I also recommend that anyone thinking about dining there look over the menu on line so as not to be surprised at their final bill, which is likely to exceed $100/person from the a la carte menu, and $150/person from the tasting menu. While I didn't find the value of the meal equal to our final bill, I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of the food. Given the small size of the restaurant, I certainly understand the need to charge those prices. The wait staff is excellent and as a plus, the wine prices by the glass or carafe are most reasonable.
A great choice for brunch. Reasonable prices, great selection of delicious food.
Bravo, delicious as always:) We come here for special occasion as well as anytime. Fabulous!
Loved sharing all our delicious dishes in this small intimate location, a restaurant in a house,
For someone who doesn't often venture into find dining establishments, the friendly service and atmosphere made me feel like I was eating a meal in the comfort of my own home with the added bonus of experiencing flavor combinations I've never encountered. It was more than just a meal, it was an experience that was well worth its value.
Tilth is a real gem in Seattle, a cozy but delectable gourmet restaurant with a reasonable price tag. The prix fixe menu with wine pairing is always a great combination of wonderfully matched tastes.
Consistently outstanding dishes that are simultaneously fresh-tasting and interesting. Impeccable (but never overbearing) service from highly knowledgeable staff. Nice wine list. The perfect place for a dinner catching up with a friend or friends.
Service was great!
Great prix fixe menu for New Years Eve!
Not good. Oysters were served room temperature, service was rushed, disappointing. Nothing was delicious, ok at best. A reals disappointment for our special occasion.
Wonderful as always! Only dish that was not spectacular was the burgers - a bit underwhelming.
Fantastic service. We will definitely be back!
Great meal. We dined here first on the X-mas eve fixed meal. The starters were great with fresh oysters with a nice sea-foam. Parsnip soup had wonderful depth with herbs The vegetarian options were excellent and the venison was perfectly prepared with a great huckle-berry sauce (some of the berries remained intact with warm spicy notes)-best meat-berry sauce I've had. They well accommodated wheat intolerance. Alcohol free drink choices were limited to two or water, and one of the two tasted exactly as billed, an apple pie. I will return on a regular evening.
The food at Tilth is consistently amazing. The menu is seasonal so it’s ever changing. The service is attentive without being overbearing.
Great, expensive but never bad food
Dinner at Tilth reminded me that I must come more often. Creative, tasty, aesthetically pleasing, and just a wonderful meal. Great and attentive, but not overbearing service; a hard combination to achieve. It was totally quiet when we were there for early dinner, so it would have been very upsetting if we had not been treated as well as we were. A lovely dining experience all around!
I think Tilth has the absolute best food for a Sunday brunch! It was wonderful and everyone ate too much. The scones and toffee waffles cannot be beaten.
We were a party of six celebrating a birthday. One of our party is vegan and Tilth is very accommodating. Options are available for all from meat lovers to vegan. Food is fresh, creative and well prepared. We enjoyed pork chop, Arctic char, risotto and vegan bean cassoulet. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
thanksgiving
We had an outstanding Thanksgiving dinner at Tilth. C must avoid gluten, and Tilth is great about accommodating her. The best dish of the meal was the parsnip soup - amazing - but all of the food was very good. And the service, as always, was both warm and efficient.
This is our anniversary spot. Always amazing.
Had a wonderful time at brunch at Tilth. Service was attentive and friendly. We ordered the grits and mimosas, which were both fantastic!
