It had been a while since dining at Tillie’s, as the last time there was disappointing. So, in the spirit if giving it another try , I made reservations for my daughter & her family for an early Mother’s Day lunch. Our server was kind and courteous & helpful, however, our appetizer took over 45 minutes to arrive. The focaccia was dry & lacked any taste. My granddaughter’s food arrived & the pasta was too hot for her to eat. When our food arrived- which was nearly 1 1/2 hrs after ordering, sandwiches/fries - the burger was a frozen patty & the burnt end sloppy joes did not have heirloom tomatoes as described & our fries were frozen fries, not fresh. It was such a disappointing lunch, we all left hungry. We will not be returning any time soon.

Beautiful space to eat in but service was lacking. It took 25 minutes for us to be acknowledged by our server and get water. She let us know that she was very busy. We felt like we were a nuisance that night. The food was good and had a pretty presentation but we wouldn’t go back. We had a similar experience the night before just trying to get food to take out by the pool.

We enjoyed a lovely anniversary dinner here. The setting is incredible; the building, imported from Vietnam, is full of amazing details and the tile work and other decor is beautiful. The staff was wonderful and left a sweet note of congratulations on the table for us. Cocktails were inventive and tasty, if a little pricey. Food was beautifully plated (other than a burrata appetizer that was strangely served in a soup bowl) and delicious. On a Sunday evening, it was about half full and the noise level was fine, but I imagine with a full house it might get loud with the high ceiling. Loved watching the cute alpacas out front! I would definitely return to Tillie’s when we are next in the area.

Best pork chop I have EVER eaten! Brussel sprouts with hollandaise were AMAZING! Beautiful quiet atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive, congenial and knowledgeable. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. They offered to take pictures of all of us together which was a very nice gesture. Lovely evening to cap off our week in Dripping Springs. I highly recommend!

I was hopeful for this places especially given the price. I can get past mediocre service if the food is outstanding but the food was a huge letdown too. Waiter was friendly but not knowledgeable and honestly just neglegtful . Food took FOREVER and came out between warm and room temp. My husbands steak was overcooked. The potato stack was cold and not salted. The grits were cold (I could tell from looking at it that it wasn’t hot. We were served dinner with no clean silverware and not one knife on the table. Tortured ourselves more by ordering desserts. The gelato says two scoops and only one was served and it was partially melted(it had excellent flavor) the waiter set the 2 desserts down and said “enjoy” and there wasn’t one utensil on the table. I mean come on. I get better service at Chili’s. Hopefully they can get it together soon because the place has great history and is absolutely beautiful. The over all experience was a huge letdown. One more issue is that the steak is served on a plate with sides which is awkward as heck and what happened to asking someone to check their steak temperature to make sure it was correct? Had we not already waited an hour, the steak would have gone back

Really poor service, waited well over an hour for food. My wife ordered steak well done as she is pregnant and it arrived somewhere between medium-rare and medium. The short rib was incredibly fatty, had no more than about 5 bites of edible meat. Waitress forgot about us I think, had trouble getting refills on water. Cool place however, just not for dining.

It was a great time overall! The food was amazing and we loved the poolside and the llamas! The waiter was kind and gave great recommendations on drinks and food. It was just like what my girlfriend and I did for her birthday last year but I believe the staff either forgot her birthday or just changed how they celebrated birthdays since we came last year because it was different. They only offered 2 glasses of prosecco which was still generous but not what we had come to expect. I just remember for her birthday last year they wrote her a card and did a dessert for her which is why we came back again for her birthday this year. It was disappointing in that regard especially since I wanted to make that special for her again. Other than that, we loved our time at Tillie’s and we will come back again. I’m just not sure we will come back for her birthday next year if the standards for birthdays are like this now.

The restaurant is beautiful! Our starters were good and the pistachio dessert was good. Our entrees consisted of overcooked proteins. We let our server know, who said a manager would be coming by, but that never happened.

Very poor Easter brunch experience. I made the reservation and confirmed a week before for an inside table for 7, however our table was outside by the pool with kids playing. The service was incredibly slow, waited 40 min to get all drinks (2 wines, a few sodas and 1 cocktail) and order lunch, it wasn’t until we flagged the waiter down to order that we were taken care of. When the food arrived the Wagyu steak was chewy, could barely get a knife through it and more than half the fries were cold and soggy. The breakfast plate contained potatoes, eggs, ham and Texas toast. The potatoes were terrible and bland, as was the toast. We ordered two appetizers, ceviche and Brussels sprouts; the only good thing was the ceviche and the wine. Took our party over 2 hours from when we sat down to getting our check, but had to chase down the manager to give her our payment. When we left around 4pm the restaurant only had a few tables and a lot of staff, no excuse for the poor service.
