The patio is a wonderful place to meet and have drinks and dinner. The staff are very attentive and efficient. Everybody was pleased with their food choices, reasonably priced drinks. Plenty of free parking in their lot. I recommend it definitely.

They didn’t have the Mahi Mahi which was the only thing on the menu I wanted since I have a gluten allergy. They substituted it with halibut but the halibut was very dry and overcooked.

We had a mixed experience here. The price of iced tea is steep at $5.50 a glass. Other beverages - wine and cocktails - seem to be at a reasonable market price. Their patio is comfortable, the menu varied and food quality excellent. Service is far below the price point and quality of the food. They need to step up their front of the house. That being said, the food is delicious and if you are willing to overlook amateurish service - give them a try.

Nothing special about the food or service. Not bad, just ok. Have been here before with friends who seem to like for some reason. I think food is way overpriced for how average it is. Almost $100 for 2 salads, no drinks plus tip. Waiter was accommodating to our needs and the environment was certainly pleasant enough. The host is particularly unwelcoming to the point of being sour/dour, forbidding. Mismatch for the job. If it were my choice I would not go back.

I went to the tavern to celebrate my birthday with friends and I am glad I did it ! The tavern is never disappointing, great food ( I had the oysters and the mahi mahi - super fresh and delicious ) , great service ( very attentive and respectful waiters ) , great ambience. I highly recommend it !

It was a fabulous time. Dinner was exceptionally delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Great selection of wines. Service is nice and friendly. Truly a gem place if you around Marin. Easy to book, park and enjoy your time.

I got the burger,one of the best burgers you can get in the Bay Area. The apps were amazing too. The peppers were fantastic. The only thing better than the food was the company :)

The wait staff is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. It was super busy due to Mother's Day, so food came out a little slower than expected. But not terribly so. We sat inside because it was it was windy and cold outside. Lots of hard surfaces, so it was very noisy and conversation was difficult.

We came for Cinco De Mayo and it was so much fun. There was a special menu and live music. The food was very authentic and delicious, especially the tortilla soup, enchiladas and fajitas. The churro dessert really hit the spot too. The bartenders wore sombreros and there were decorations throughout the restaurant and patio which set the scene for a perfect memorable night.

Boring! We read about Tiburon Tavern then saw that they were having a Cinco de Mayo celebration with music. We decided to try it even though it is not a Mexican Restaurant. We arrived to a noisy place with a lot of older people and a large group business type gathering. The music was pathetic, it was some older folks playing a keyboard and a singer that was impossible to even really hear where they were located. They played boring music and nothing celebratory of the day. The menu was a small selection of "Mexican Foods". I had the steak Fajitas which were pretty good and I enjoyed that , my partner had the fish tocos which were not well spiced and very boring. He did not enjoy them. It's too bad we wanted to love this place but it was just not fun at all.

We had dinner there on Valentine’s Day. I couldn’t get a table in Sausalito so we found Tiburon Tavern, and we are so glad we did. No waiting to be seated, and not crowded. We parked in the adjoining hotel parking lot, confusing and it worked out, there isn’t much parking around there. Our meals were cooked to perfection, everything tasted so fresh, the meat was super tender. The dessert (cheesecake) was the best we’ve had in a long time. It was a ricotta and lemon based cheesecake…. Not a Costco NY cheesecake doorstop. The coffee was delicious. We are planning to return for more dinners. It was so nice! The service was so polite and even gave me a red rose at the end of dinner. We are so glad we found this place.

The kitchen consistently offers delicious food. Our breakfast was tasty - eggs prepared as requested, crispy bacon and nicely toasted bagel. The problem was the untrained server who hadn't worked breakfast before. She couldn't answer simple questions about the menu, didn't check in to offer refills of beverages and brought the check shortly after delivering the food. We had planned to order coffee and share a dessert. That is a training issue, I think, and not the server's fault.

I have eaten at Tiburon Tavern many times throughout all its changes in chefs and menus. When it first opened years ago, it was a lovely high end restaurant with an innovative, although quite expensive menu. The ambiance indoors was warm and beautiful. Since then, the menu, food quality, and service took a considerable downturn. Recently, when Renzo, from Luna Blu , became the master chef, the menu and food quality improved considerably, but service was still a problem. On New year’s Day, 2023, I took my granddaughter for a special treat and we ate outdoors. I was truly disappointed. Although there were very few tables occupied on the patio, the service was extremely slow. We waited over 15 minutes for anyone to take our order, then over 30 minutes for the order to arrive. My granddaughter’s sliders and Caesar salad were good. But my mussels were just okay… very ordinary and not as flavorful as I had in the past. I asked for a cup of hot water and another slice of toast to dip in the broth. . They never came and I had to flag down another waiter to repeat my request. I finally got the hot water, but I had to remind someone about the slice of toast. By this time the broth was completely cold. Finally the bread , without any butter or olive oils arrived. I only wanted one slice of toast, but was charged $4.00 for an order of bread! The whole experience was not satisfactory in terms of quality of food and service. Has the management changed again?

We were so happy to be there with our friends and family at the end of the year party, il “cenone di capodanno “ as we say in Italy, there was dancing with live music, lots of happy people and the always super yummy food from chef Renzo, we love spending our holidays there as we did for thanksgiving, it’s a warm happy place where we feel always treated like kings

We were not informed that a fixed price dinner was all that was being offered . Price was $95, if we wanted bread it would be extra. The meal was outrageously priced for what was offered and we were not allowed to split the meal. Mushroom soup was bland, steak tartare was good, the 3 lobster ravioli were under cooked. We brought the rest of the meal home and will have it tonight.

Food was very good and so was our waiter, Rahual (sp?). It was a bit loud in there, since it’s all hard surfaces with no sound absorption items. Slight issue with cleanliness, my mother in law’s glass had chapstick or lipstick on her glass and there was a hair underneath one of the chips.

I was grateful that there was room for me and my son to have a Christmas Eve dinner at the Tavern, and even though we came early, they seated us right away. The seafood fettuccine was very good. The atmosphere was festive and warm. I have no complaints, though I will say that adding pistachio to the creme brulee didn't improve the original.

Our dinner at the Tavern was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the service and mostly the food. I love the quinoa salad and my husband can’t stop talking about how delicious is their burger. The ice cream sundae was just the perfect end for dinner! Such a great spot, highly recommended!
