    We showed up for our reservation and they didn’t have a table for us, so they sat our party of 3 at a small 2-person table. The waiter forgot to bring us our coffees, so my friend had to go to the bar and ask for them.

    Nice variety for brunch/lunch menu and food was tasty. Wait staff very nice. True to it's name, the Thorn is not only a restaurant, but a lounge so the atmosphere is more open, basically the lobby of the Rose Hotel but not to the point that people walk through it to get somewhere else. Super convenient to O'Hare Airport which is why I choose the location and would do so again if the opportunity presented itself.

    The drinks were amazing. The food not so much. We had a best salad that was very good. The bao buns were fried instead of steamed and so were the pitas for our hummus. Not sure why they like to fry their breads. Yuk. The hummus was insipid. Go for drinks here and cross the street to Carmine’s for the food.

    Food and drinks were great! Our pasta was a little undersalted but nothing a salt shaker couldn't take care of. Ambience is great. Would definitely go back - a must try in Rosemont!

    Loved the ambiance for a double date - live music and a beautiful set-up restaurant. Didn't even realize it was inside of the Rose Hotel! Only cons were the pappardelle wasn't seasoned to my liking and we struggled with the salt/pepper shakers! Otherwise, great restaurant.

    Service was terrible. Waited 25 mins to get a water over an hour for food. Good was tasteless. Don’t go out of your way to dine here.

    I picked this place for its proximity to the airport for a late breakfast/brunch before an afternoon flight. I was pleased that they offered a gluten free option for most items on the menu and chose them for this reason. The service was great - thanks William! The food was very good, except for the soggy hashbrowns. Inside a hotel called the Rose, the Thorn was a pleasant and unexpected find.

    The omelettes were okay but the hash browns were burnt. The waffles were cooked too hard. They were not fluffy. The chicken tenders were cooked in old grease. I was not satisfied with the food at all.

    We were sat upon entering and hostess was very friendly as was a hotel employee. Our server was friendly as well but didn’t let us know she was going on break and she nor anyone else came to check on us. When we got another servers attention he did take care of us but then brought our bill without asking if we wanted anything else, which we did. The food was not that tasty. I had the waffle and chicken.

    Juan is an asset to the restaurant service at this hotel. He was personable, provided good information, helpful suggestions and professional service seating us and taking our orders. Then he was called to bartend and the service went downhill, the food was lackluster and did not conform to our requests. As a small hotel lobby restaurant, I kept asking why we had to make a reservation? This was not fine dining! As it happened and schedules allowed, we had three food service occasions at this restaurant: afternoon snack that was wonderful but served slowly; this dinner; and breakfast which was on par with dinner. The hummus plate is a delight. Ask for extra pita. Otherwise, skip the restaurant altogether.

    They understaffed the kitchen on a Friday night with a big show at rosemont theater. Ordered food (small plates - nothing difficult to prep) and hadn’t been served 45 minutes later. Ended up cancelling the order and getting fast food so we could make our show. Having to pay $25 for parking was just more salt in the wound. Won’t go back.

    We came here before seeing Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. It really has the feel of an airport lounge rather than a restaurant. The service was really poor. We waited 1 hour for our food. The server never checked in on us during that time. I got the pappardelle and my husband got the avocado toast and bao buns. Food is mediocre and it's expensive. I will not go again.

    In looking at the menu online i was very excited to try this place. I ordered the shrimp tacos and asked for no onion. It was shrimp on a tortilla with a side of sauce, no toppings. The shrimp mac and cheese weren't bad. Drinks were tasty but the service was horrible. There weren't that many people in the restaurant which is really just the lobby of the hotel. So, I'm not sure why it took us so long to get our food or even see the bartender very often.

    Loved the Bao bun but burger and bread for humus were a little greasy. Beat salad was very good. Wait staff were friendly.

    Service was horrible. We made reservations for 6 and I felt like just bc the gratuity was already included on the bill they did us dirty with service.

    First time here. Would come back. Cocktails your excellent. Food was very good, however our pasta dish was supposed to have goat cheese in it and there was none. Kept eating it thinking we would find some, but there was none. Server said new menu items, so it was somehow missed.

    Great food - but expensive. $20 for a burger! The $18 chicken sandwich was amazing though! Medi platter was also on point. It was loud, with a (good and talented) guitar player and conversations going over the music. Very nice, modern decor.
